Where has the time gone - Amaria - Aug 14 2015
Time had swept by. Quicker than Amaria could have ever hoped to grasp onto. It had seemed only yesterday she had been born on the riverbed. Swallowed by darkness and the entirety of silence. Her world had been flipped the moment she had heard the first voice in her life. Of course it had soon been followed by another. Her darling sister. Slowly her nose wrinkled and Amaria took no hesitance to slap a rock from her path, sending it skidding along the cliffs until it ultimately tumbled over the edge and clattered it's way down. Where had it all gotten her? A home? More friends? Brooding feelings that had been cast aside for the more light-heartened emotions of an extremely happy feline? She was more alone than she ever was back in that riverbed. Slowly her paws moved, prowling along the top of the cliffs that loomed over the broken city far below. From here she could see the Throne. A place that had once given her nightmares, as well as the sensation of no longer feeling alone. Giggles word rung through her thoughts, echoing over and over as they eventually began to bother her to the point where she was now. Stalking the cliffs as she paced back and forth from one end to the next. The election was far from her thoughts. It was nothing she cared about. Pisces would be protected. Her siblings would remain there all happy and betrothed. She, however, would continue to feel out of place there. Always feeling in the way and bothersome. It stung a bit, thinking how her siblings could just ignore her all the time. She kinda understood that they were 'madly' in love with the other, but did that really mean they had to ignore everything else? She missed her brother. Missed having their adventures. She missed hunting with Makyna. Yet what did it all matter to them? Absolutely nothing. She meant absolutely nothing to them anymore. A deep sigh escaped the clouded leopard as she dropped her weight against the ground and allowed her front leg to dangle off the side of the cliff as she peered down below with half-lidded eyes. "You're just overreacting Ammy..." She murmured to herself as her long tail slowly swished and flicked about on it's own accord. Soon she began to talk herself down from her sudden ill mood and it wasn't long before her mind trailed to the first leopard she had ever set her eyes on. Her heart twisted, but she did not move to respond to the feeling of guilt. She deserved it. She had brought him to his banishment. Yet, she missed him. He was the one cat that didn't make her feel out of place or feel like she was intruding. Of course she could also be thinking about that all wrong too. He probably didn't want her to go around him anymore. After forcing him to return and making him face the trial. It was probably why she hadn't gone searching for him yet. She was not eager to see anger in his eyes towards her. She let out a rush of air through her nose before she closed her eyes. Perhaps a nap would chase away her wild thoughts... "Speech."
