REAVER - The Warden - Mar 07 2023 Backdated before Order vs Chaos Content Warning
This post contains potentially sensitive material: gore A relatively lazy day and permission from the Sentinel to abandon its post for the time being led the Warden to Pegasus for a day of solo training. It had trained itself physically, of course, but not enough, and certainly not enough with the glaive it now swung around casually. This it would fix now - peace had lasted for too long and the Warden knew that something would come for them soon. RE: REAVER - The Warden - Mar 07 2023 A grin of almost sadistic pleasure at the wonderfully smooth hit and it felt the need to inflict more damage. Almost a bloodlust-like sensation that led its next series of attacks a little bit out of control. RE: REAVER - The Warden - Mar 09 2023 The Warden waited until the carcass had stopped its swinging back and forth. It gripped the glaive and got into its proper stance before lunging forward, practicing a series of attacks that the Sentinel had showed it. This time he was careful to adjust himself for each way the carcass swung, slicing small but numerous cuts across the deer's body. Each wound inflicted sent a surge of satisfaction through his arms and swirled through that ever-growing lust for chaos and violence. Yeah, this was good, really good! But it wanted more...more....MORE. RE: REAVER - The Warden - Mar 09 2023 The Warden looked down at Lightning, wondering how effective it would be, if someone got too close, to hit them with the hilt of the glaive instead of the blade. It was long, and made of metal, so a strong enough attack would definitely do enough damage. RE: REAVER - V-Labradorite-One - Mar 11 2023 It intended to hunt, feed itself and bring something back for it's spawn. It would be a quick endeavor- no mess, no fuss. Just a quick kill and sustenance. Magick reached out, searching for the heartbeats of prey-lessers that roamed all over Pegasus. Red filled it's vision, dozens of thrumming heartbeats like distant marching armies. Bird-shapes flittering above, tree rabbits or catsquirrels running above in the canopy. None of which would be particularly filling or easy prey. It shouldn't be looking for prey Except the Pallasite. It shook it's head with a small snort, focusing more on what it sensed. It was alarmed by the presence of a MASSIVE heartbeat, belonging to a massive beast that could only be a valkhound- or a descendant of one, as it was. It continued forward, hearing the sounds of pummeled meat, the scent of blood. It saw The Warden- whom it recognized vaguely from it's station at the entrance of Draco. It would watch as it beat up a very dead tunnel runner. Silent, for several long moments, until Warden's assault waned and it found suitable words to speak. @The Warden RE: REAVER - The Warden - Mar 11 2023
The Warden did not hear the Labradorite approach, so when it spoke, the beast flinched and turned its head, eyes wide and claws gripping Lightning hard, ready to attack. But no...it recognized it. Black Oil and red eyes and labradorite stone within its chest. It lowered its glaive and turned to face it, flipping the weapon so that the butt of it touched the ground and the blade reached upwards. RE: REAVER - V-Labradorite-One - Mar 13 2023 It tensed, reflexively flashing it's teeth and stepping back when The Warden reacted in startled aggression. It would stand, somewhat awkwardly, as The Warden explained what it had been doing with its corpse pinata. It didn't get any of the humor Warden seemed to get out of it. Lessers were for eating, not for.. this. It knew this kind of thinking was somewhat hypocritical and soft. It's not like the lesser cared, anymore. And the entire forge stood for The bright flash of Lightning cutting once more into it's target jolted it from it's thoughts. It stared at the new cut on the deer for a couple moments, before responding to The Warden's Question. It could always hunt later, in an area better suited for it. @The Warden RE: REAVER - The Warden - Mar 15 2023
The Warden stared at the labradorite, looking it up and down for a moment as it suggested "sparring". It had never sparred with anyone besides The Sentinel, who had a weapon of its own. What would it do against someone without anything to block the blows of lightning? It would, of course, as the other suggested, have to 'hold back'. That kind of sucked and was kind of the point of it coming all the way out here. RE: REAVER - V-Labradorite-One - Mar 16 2023 It felt vaguely uncomfortable as The Warden scanned it's form. It's form was... far different than when it's first hatched. Scars and mutations alike warped it's form, spikes and glowing bits and even it's 'improved' flipper-claws. Was this improvement? It hoped so. It would step back a distance, regarding The Warden. @The Warden RE: REAVER - The Warden - Mar 17 2023
The Warden also took a step back as they prepared themselves for a spar. It flexed its fingers, rolled back a shoulder, swung its tail a bit to get all its natural weapons ready for combat. It liked swinging the glaive around, sure, but it was also a lot of fun to just throw itself in headfirst and fight like a goddamn animal.
