Giggle x Nidhogg, Nidhogg x Relic - Giggle - Sep 08 2023 what up this is my accidental (giggle's) cycle 100 gift to giggle Parent: Giggle Giving: Stone x2 Health: Healthy Element: Fungi Stone: Fire Agate Had any previous litters: x Stones, x Bones, x BFF :( Randomize Litter?: No thanks! Link to Conception Thread: Link Parent: Nidhogg Giving: Life x2, Stone x1 Health: Healthy Element: Fire Stone: Oilstone Had any previous litters: None! Randomize Litter?: No thanks! Link to Conception Thread: Link Child Name: Up to Adopter; if raised by Chaos Forge (adopter's choice) it will be V-Agate-One to begin with! Gender: Up to Adopter Species: Valkhound x Spotted Hyena Appearance: Up to Adopter Element: Fire Stone: Fire Agate Child Name: not yet decided Gender: not yet decided Species: Valkhound x Spotted Hyena Appearance: Essentially a massively oversized Spotted Hyena with too-long forelimbs. It stands five and a half feet tall at the shoulder. Its mane, throat and chest are studded with pointed quills flushed through with acidic, glowing blood: a blood that gives its eyes and mouth glowing color, mostly destroying any chance at stealth. In a strange "genetic" twist, its spots are clusters of small, glowing quills, providing less defense but pretty cool coloration to break up all that black, at least. It bears thick, sturdy spines of keratin at elbows, down the side-backs of the forelimbs, and the sides of the thighs. Element: Fire Stone: Fire Agate Parent: Relic (NOT MINE, just filling it b/c of timing weirdness) Giving: Life x1 Health: Healthy Element: Animal Stone: Snowflake Obsidian Had any previous litters: No Randomize Litter?: No - Silkwyrm's posted the child down below Link to Conception Thread: Link ![]() RE: Giggle x Nidhogg - Game Master Dark - Sep 08 2023 This conception was Successful! Giggle's litter will emerge on October 8th; Relics, on October 9th.
Giggle will not be able to conceive again until January 8th, 2024. Nidhogg and Relic will not be able to conceive until January 9th. Please GM tag for character approval once the adoptable child is adopted. RE: Giggle x Nidhogg - Giggle - Sep 08 2023 While this second child is UFA, it's for a very specific plot! Please do not apply if you aren't certain you'll have time to at least attempt to roleplay the character up until adulthood! Plot Summary Giggle and Vargas have argued about Vargas's child-raising methods. Giggle believes the Chaos Forge is too rigid, cold, uncaring and brutal to raise well-adjusted adults. Vargas believes that Giggle is a silly stupid mortal Earth creature failure with silly stupid mortal Earth emotions that are entirely unnecessary. But he's doubting himself just enough that he's offered Giggle a bet: two children are formed from Giggle + a Forge member, one to be raised by Giggle as she sees fit, the other among the Forge in a "business as usual" sense. At six cycles, the children will be compared: if Giggle's is happier and better-adjusted (judging method completely undetermined and so far subjective), Vargas has agreed to let her make changes to how the Forge raises its children. The adopter for this child, therefore, can choose whether their child will be raised by Giggle or the Chaos Forge. A Chaos Forge character will have a couple more restrictions in terms of the Forge's rules: they'd be raised as (I need to doublecheck this lol) V-Agate-One and treated like a soldier-in-training who has to earn their various rights. A child raised by Giggle will have a slightly overbearing, very supportive hyena mom. I'll ask that the player do enough threading with their character + parent/family/etc. to get a solid idea of how the adult will end up, and then roleplay the "judging" thread where they meet their sibling. Past that, anything at all goes; the character is 100% yours other than this. The adopter can design the child, or request that I do so. The adopter can also choose the gender, name, and personality of the child. The adopter can also 100% mold the character's personality, though I request they try to roll with in-character situations and developments to determine the outcome of the wager! Here goes: Code: <b>OOC Name:</b> I'll probably pick someone in a week or two! RE: Giggle x Nidhogg - Huntsman - Sep 08 2023 OOC Name: Snail Character Concept: I have two personality concepts, which I may end up combining/editing/ect. The first fits the chaos forge the most while the second fits giggle the most, but they could both be raised by either. 1. They KNOW they are part of a competition, whether being outright told or figuring it out on their own. And they are determined to win. It's a matter of pride- of themself, and of their parent and group- whether they are of The Chaos Forge or The Bonebound. So they will train- both with their parent and on their own- on anything and everything they've been taught makes a 'good' child. Not just competent in battle and magic, but polite and courteous. The perfect child. The perfect gembound. They will have a strange caboodle of mental illness- thinking they're better than everyone else while also thinking they themself aren't good enough. Restlessness and an inability to do anything that isn't either training or already 'perfect.' Vague or lost sense of self and general repression of 'unsightly' emotions. If they're told all of this is unhealthy they'll probably ignore you. That advice obviously flawed, since it came from someone inferior. 2. They see both Giggle and Vargas as their parents [assuming they know of the one who isn't raising them] and want to bond with both. The idea of their 'parents' fighting makes them genuinely upset, although the idea of themself being sort of a pawn in this fight doesn't ever cross their mind as wrong. They will do most things asked of them- they still want to make you proud, after all- but they don't want to 'win.' They want things to be resolved, preferably in the nicest way possible. They will be quite conflict-avoidant, making them a skittish people pleaser. They are also quite sweet, compassionate, and thoughtful, although awful at reading the room and others in general. Their first instinct when seeing someone upset is to try to fix their problem.. but they don't really understand that isn't always wanted. Extra: - Unsure about design. A hyena but vargas-shaped, with a 'mohawk' of quills from head-to-rump and a long, flexible, quill-covered tail like nidhogg's. Probably more natural coloration with a splash of bioluminescence [because it's cool] Probably not all that big- around their sibling's size or smaller. - Unsure if they'd be a physical or magic build- they would most likely try to understand both. Second would be less prone to fighting, though. Maybe magic-other instead. - If raised by Giggle, could develop an interested in fortune-telling, possibly developing their own method via 'reading' the smoke created by their magic. - If raised in the forge, the first personality would DEFINITELY try for the rank of Overseer or something similarly prestigious. The second wouldn't be as interested, but wouldn't be content as mere meat or even just a hound, either. @Giggle RE: Giggle x Nidhogg - Relic - Sep 09 2023 form for surprise extra kid Child Name: V-Chaos-something [how many are there....] Gender: Feminine Species: Valkhound x Striped hyena [Either a Valkyena or Valkhound, depending on how much Vargas approves of its design lol] Appearance: Lizard-like in length, face and tail, hyena-like in its bone-crushing jaws, long forelimbs, shortened torso and sloping back. Its face is ridged, with two pairs of glowing eyes. Poisonous quills line its spine, tufts of hair sprout from further back its body, mingling with the spines. Its interiors are luminescent, fire-like in their glow. Oil drips slowly from its pores. Due to its lengthened forelimbs, it stands 4 and a half feet tall at the shoulder. Its build is athletic, but not incredibly strong. it is roughly 17 feet long from nose to tail tip. Element: Animal Stone: Oilstone RE: Giggle x Nidhogg, Nidhogg x Relic - Giggle - Sep 23 2023 OKAY SNAIL I was really hoping to be able to throw this one at you so HERE WE GO Kid's all yours... either personality would be fine by me!!
