Bright is the Light - Hysteria - Jan 03 2024 Polaris was bright. RE: Bright is the Light - Hysteria - Jan 07 2024 Though, as nice as getting her eyes burned out by the subterranean equivalent of the sun is, she really ought to do something else. Her mind wanders back to the Collector, who she hasn't really talked to recently. Hysteria still wanted to impress her father, though. RE: Bright is the Light - Hysteria - Jan 07 2024 ...Or not. RE: Bright is the Light - Hysteria - Jan 08 2024 Nothing shiny! Where is it all!? RE: Bright is the Light - Hysteria - Jan 08 2024 There, in a nook, a penumbra cast by another crag, is a scrap of rough canvas. Nothing huge, but barely large enough to use as a small pouch or wrapping. Turning it over in her claws, Hysteria wonders if it'll be enough, if she needs something bigger or heavier to carry the stones with, but there's nothing else she sees in the area. RE: Bright is the Light - Game Master Dark - Jan 12 2024 Like an electric spark, the shard's power leapt through the cloth: a searing burn that felt imbued with energy, snarling along flesh and nerves in the search to ground itself.
It would burn--briefly, painfully, not severely--but so long as it were dropped, nothing more. Perhaps a thicker cloth would be enough. Or a smaller piece of stone. @Hysteria RE: Bright is the Light - Hysteria - Jan 12 2024 With a hiss she'd drop the Skystone, shaking the burned paw like it would somehow ease the pain. That's what you get for playing with fire. Not that Hysteria really had much in the brains department, though. @Game Master Dark RE: Bright is the Light - Game Master Dark - Jan 12 2024 It still burned with power--a searing, popping, raw magic that was almost nauseating to be near--but this one piece, swaddled in cloth, was... doable. It felt as though it tugged upon Hysteria's magic, as if to claim it for its own, weakening her... but for now, it could be transported. Perhaps with a rest or two, en route.
This Skystone piece is worth five points to the Merchant toward opening Centaurus, if delivered. However, it will be painful to transport, and attempts to transport additional pieces alongside it in this manner may prove dangerous. @Hysteria RE: Bright is the Light - Hysteria - Jan 12 2024 "Ouch! Yikes! Owie!" she sputters, now having claimed her prize. The Skystone hurts, hurts a whole lot, but if there's something The Collector taught her was that everything has a price. This gem's price is all of the annoying blisters it is going to leave. Exit Hysteria |
