night walkers - Isaiah - Aug 15 2015 Where had he seen this darkness before? A warmth as he was cradled in the crystallized womb for periods of time. He did not lack control as he shifted as he grew, from a fleshy little thing that steadily allowed feathers to sprout from his skin and mutated into a more recognizable form. He grew in this little home of darkness, and it was a comforting one at that. It wasn't as if anyone would harm the chrysalis that he was housed in, and the nutrients came in abundance to allow him to continue to develop at a healthy pace. He had seen this darkness before, or maybe he glanced at nothing many times since he could see clearly. He could barely feel, or sense what occurred within or outside. But he decided he was ready to know what laid outside the home he had always known. A developed beak prodded against the shell of his chrysalis, and small cracks steadily became apparent in the midst of the damage caused. The amber was hardly translucent when he had failed to view what the shell had always seen. Shards slid down as he continued to peck harshly until his beak poked the air, and the breeze that had begun to fill the home. He had continued to peck some more until he finally emerged as a fledgling who draped himself over the bottom of the hole before sliding out of the stone. He blinked, sleepy, as he looked around at his settings. Bones were dispersed across the area. The air was chilling as he shivered, unaccustomed to what he considered warmth. He got to his feet, his legs trembling until his paws had a grip on the floor as he took shaky steps all around before his attention turned to something dark red nearby. -- Tagging those interested in joining, and also hatchmate 8D @Dustin @Leon @Kerberos @Akshayaa RE: night walkers - Dustin - Aug 15 2015 It was so warm and wholesome in his chrysalis, Dustin had to wonder why he ever wanted to leave such a place. But his developmental time had come and he was itching to break free as he struck out with his tiny limbs towards the edges of the cocoon. It didn't help that his stone, by nature, was malleable and instead of shattering it bulged at the internal pressure that was being thrust upon it. Drowsily, he continued his struggle against his home, the place he had once been living in and was a sanctuary had now become his prison. Unsheathed claws began to scratch and tear and a pitiful mewl followed as he managed to tear open the leathery skin. Thrust into the algid climate, he didn't have a chance to notice the bones as he tumbled right into the little fuzz ball that was Isaiah. Confused and dazed, the chimera blinked a few times, trying to adjust his sensitive eyes to the light. "Wuh?" Quite comfortable in his heap on the ground, he curled tighter attempting to keep himself warm. "Warm." @Isaiah RE: night walkers - Kerberos - Aug 15 2015 Runnin' wild and runnin' free~
Two kids, you and me~ ! The gatekeeper, the hellhound of Canis, was nearby. He was hungry... but things were happening. New life. This was of utmost importance to him. Six pink eyes watched the babies come to life, laying among the bones. His tag wagged gently, holding his breath. Were these more family members for him? He hoped so. ooc; I decided to post a reply anyway to keep this moving :u Sorry, banban! RE: night walkers - Azazel (Original) - Aug 27 2015 What he happened upon was fantastic. Two newborn gembound. He couldn't miss the one Gembound that gathered. Why? Well, because it happened to be Kerberos. Who was a giant mass of fluffy and very difficult to miss. Hiding wasn't exactly his forte. Far from it, indeed. A great white polar bear dog thing with a bright tail was a beacon. Not to mention his three heads. @Dustin @Kerberos RE: night walkers - Kerberos - Aug 28 2015 Runnin' wild and runnin' free~
Two kids, you and me~ ! The big fluffy babies before him were absolutely precious. He wagged his tail around like a huge flag, a banner of his pride. He loved baby kittens the most, of course, but the chick and was precious too. He was about to try and teach them how to speak properly-- since they were having a bit of trouble-- when he heard a flurry of feathers behind him. A weight landed on his shoulders and his coat shook to try and dispatch the massive fly-- or whatever it was-- off, but it was quite heavy. His crimson nosed face swiveled around to snap at whatever it was, but he stopped in his tracks when he saw the bright golden feathers of the one tasty chicken he definitely wasn't supposed to eat. The middle head finally understood the situation and quickly jumped to his own defense. After all, not every gembound trusted him yet and he had thought about eating Aza'zel in the past...
