Chaos and Cleansing - V-Chaos-Ten - May 20 2024

"Thank you, Esther, for volunteering to help," Ten spoke as the two reached the room of bones. "It is a large task... hard to do alone," the valkturtle added.

It was a pleasant surprise to have received an offer to help. "V-Onyx-Three and I cleared out much when last here... but that was several cycles ago, I hope it has not regrown much," the valkturtle spoke, voice sad at the thought of regrowing. In general, Ten's voice was very expressive, saying what they felt.

"I will... be using my magic, to clear. Are you a magic user, yourself?" Ten inquired, polite but genuinely curious. Friendly, even. Among the Chaos Forge, Ten was a bit of an odd one out. They'd rather not fight, though they would to protect their family. Mostly, they kept to themself and grew mushrooms while in Draco, but they'd make it a mission to themself to clear out Order fungus. But it was a safe task, alone.

They started off small, focusing on a patch that remained. It cleared, if barely so. Their gaze then regarded Canis in general, and they gave a pleased noise. "It has not regrown."

RE: Chaos and Cleansing - The Warden - May 20 2024

The Warden paced well behind the other two, the light of its blad flashing every so often as it absentmindedly twirled it around. It was a direct opposite image to that of its parent's almost statue-like stoicism, this animated, dark but vibrant creature just keeping pace behind the turtle and wolf. It almost snickered at Esther's size, miniscule compared to the Valkhounds they accompanied. But it kept its opinions to itself, for now.

Arriving in Canis was a delight. However much pride it took in its job at the Sentinel's side, guarding the Aperture, it grew boring, each day blending into the next. The chance to leave, travel, and destroy had its Chaotic blood boiling and ready and it didn't wait for permission to charge forward, bringing its gigantic front legs down to begin stomping out the fungus.

"No need for magic," it chuckled, "This should work fine too."

RE: Chaos and Cleansing - Esther - Jun 12 2024

Esther follows close to the large creature.

"Of course, I rejoined the Forge to help with things like this." It would look bad on them to ask to come back and then not follow up on their reasons to do so.

Still, Esther is sure they'd be fine for a while anyway. Regardless this is good, a nice change of pace. Something to do with their time that means something - it's different trying to clear this stuff on their own. It's not the same - there's nothing to work for. Esther could leave it and feel just fine for themselves. Now it just means they need to help protect their fellow Forge members.

Esther can't quite remember who those gembound are - or if they've met them before - but they do see that there is a lot less fungus than other caves they've been to.

"I do use magic but do not need to if it would be too much. It seems the two of you" Esther looks between them. "Would not be damaged by such magic so it will be fine." Good, because Esther's been itching to catch something on fire. Even if it's a tiny plant.

Esther definitely has not met the big mushroom turtle - V Chaos Ten - or The Warden before. Still, both of them look good enough to do anything thrown at them. (So did some others, but they didn't fare as well)

"I will do my best to remove as much as I can." They hum, before moving to do some damage control themselves.

Focusing on a nearby patch of white fungus connected to some spikes coming out of the ground. They scowl at it. Troublesome.

Their magic quickly comes to them, and Esther lifts a fire-resistant claw to set the patch ablaze. It quickly melts away into ash, leaving the earth behind.
