Solitude & Splendor - Priscilla - Mar 11 2025 Priscilla didn't quite know how she'd came to be here; all she knew was that she'd walked, and walked, and walked, until her little pink feet hurt. Along a dank and dingy tunnel she'd plodded, until she grew tired of stopping to wash herself every twenty footsteps and eventually just decided to keep moving, cleaning when she found a good place to stop and rest. Until then, Prissy slunk along the tunnel walls feeling dejected-- why oh why hadn't she just stayed in Pisces, where the water was cool and she could look at her reflection all the time? The answer had been so obvious back then. She was hungry and the little one couldn't eat water or fish, and rocks would ruin her perfect teeth! But now, Prissy wondered longingly if she perhaps could have just toughed it out and found a way. She hated the feeling of dust on her toes and burrowing it's way into her wiry fur. But... As she plodded along, Priscilla found the tunnel walls begin to glow with crystals and soft luminescent moss. And then, as Priscilla stepped from the tunnel and into the vast, shining splendour of Polaris, the little possum was almost too blown away to even preen. She stepped towards, awed by the sight of the distant Spire and the silver river winding around it, her fur prickling to the magic in the air. She stared around herself in wonder as she padded forward, blind to anything else. RE: Solitude & Splendor - Aerys - Mar 13 2025 ︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵ She slipped into the cave of the room, looking around slightly in confusion. The tunnels were confusing nd the rooms were each so different and new that it made her want to explore them all. Even now, this one was so dark and quiet in comparison than the others she had seen, and for a moment she just stood there, taking in the area around her. Her legs were tired from walking and her body was weary, so she figured she'd try to find something to drink. Unintentionally, she activated her new power, gasping as a strange wave of magic moved out from her and suddenly, she could tell where the stream was, not too far away from her, but harder to see in the darkness. Though hesitant, she followed it and sure enough, there it was, just like her power had said. Interesting. What caught her attention more though, was the small form of another and she paused, cocking her head to the side for a moment before hesitantly speaking up. "Uh...h-hello....?" "Speech"
RE: Solitude & Splendor - Reishi - Mar 15 2025 Reishi, who'd just come upon this new world some days prior - was exploring. Away from the catacombs that were the giant trees in her birthcave, the little cat had somehow meandered all the way over to Polaris. It was a sight to see, really - glowing stones and plants covered the area around it, causing the room to be tinted with various light sources. Nearly blinding for a poor kitten's eyes, but gorgeous all the same. When the small thing sees a form moving through the cave - small, like itself - Reishi's first instinct is to lower itself into the rocky ground below. To hide. Something inside telling her that it can move forward with no issues, Reishi begins to slowly follow the canine form forward until they stop at the water's edge. The wolf speaks to something in the water -- Reishi can't quite see it from their location, but they stay hidden for now. @Priscilla RE: Solitude & Splendor - Priscilla - Mar 23 2025 Priscilla was so absorbed in the view, staring at the distant river reflecting twinkling lights, that she didn't notice the presence of another until they were right next to her. Her fur fluffed out and she jumped back, startled, sweeping a small pink paw to her forehead. "Oh, my!!" Priscilla felt self-consciousness take hold. She hadn't been prepared for company! Her haunches were all covered in dust, her paws weren't clean, and she was truly the picture of dishevelment. "Don't look at me!" She just needed a moment and some water to clean herself up! But then first impressions were so important, and... and... She wasn't sure why, but in that moment, her thoughts grew suddenly fuzzy. "I'm so sorry, I--" In that moment, Prissy's nature kicked in. the little possum wavered, her mouth opened, and she sprawled dramatically onto her side, tongue hanging out, paw still pressed against her forehead as if well and truly dead. @Reishi @Aerys RE: Solitude & Splendor - Aerys - Mar 25 2025 Aerys Hae-Oma
She had no clue that another was watching them, hiding in the shadows. As far as she knew it was just her and the other little creature she had called out to. She had hoped for some information, maybe to find a friend in this scary world, someone that she could relax around. But instead all she found was more confusion and no less questions. She gasped as she watched the small creature faint, her eyes widening and a look of horror on her face. Oh no! Did she just kill this poor thing? She rushed closer, lowering her nose slightly to push against the creature's side gently, her breath coming out in panicked bursts. RE: Solitude & Splendor - Reishi - Mar 28 2025 Reishi watches the pair, curious to see how the wolf will react to the little thing. Something in their head says it looks like food - and Priscilla does - but another thing inside is telling them that they can't attack the poor thing. The wolf would eat Reishi in retaliation! After all, Aerys is clearly going to eat Priscilla, right? But no, as the wolf asks the opossum a question - very not hunting like! Only, it looks like the wolf doesn't have to do any work anyway. The poor thing falls over dead. Reishi blinks in confusion - did the wolf kill it? Apparently not, since she's freaking out about it. Reishi creeps closer slowly, wiggling her backside before launching in the direction of the dead thing - scrabbling to hit her mark. Reishi does pounce on the thing, though perhaps not as well as she could have. @Priscilla |
