Caution to the Wind - Printable Version

For once, Monoceros has calmed from a maelstrom to merely a stiff breeze. The brief respite comes at the perfect time for a little emerald chrysalis - its occupant is beginning to stir. Tap tap tap- and then that loud Crack! announces new life.

Tumbling out, a barely awake Setanta is dumped onto the floor. The impact makes them squeak in surprise, and it takes a moment for them to figure out how to sort out their tangled limbs. Rolling onto her belly, emerald eyes finally open, looking up.

The wind rushes in her ears. For a moment, she's transfixed. But then her expression steels. "I'll take you on, world!" Setanta declares, challenge thrown into the swirling gale. "Watch me!"

Aki made a ‘tsk’ sound as he turned his head towards the rather loud sound. It was a small creature, just like him. He grumbled lightly as he stalked forwards slowly. Aki’s limp leg dragged the barren earth as rough wind tousled his fur. He wanted to leave this cave— He was a fan of the watery, plant filled caves where he had come from— This place was not very… Nice.

“Hello? Who are you?”

Aki called out, his voice low and lost to the winds as he picked up his speed to a brisk walk. Emerald shards at his paws, blown along by the wind. They dug at his lame leg as he dragged it along. He was closer now, maybe only a few tail-lengths behind the small, freshly-hatched feline. He opened his jaws and let out another call, louder this time.

“Hello?”
