Minion Factory - Tectus - May 04 2025

Backdated about one cycle

In her time without orders, Tectus had been, in a way, laying low. Living among gembounds, coming to understand them better. And perhaps also looking out for potential allies. Master Vargas had his valkhounds and while Tectus could most definitely join his Forge, he already had a couple of Overseers (one? two? unsure) and she felt her abilities could be best used elsewhere. Her memory of the old ways and status as an Overseer gave her an edge, she thought. And she had come to an important conclusion: the gembound would be useful.

They had to make use of them. To do otherwise would be throwing away an important resource that was not only abundant but dominant. She had had success already with some of them - she had her eyes on that dragon, although she had little to no idea how to get authority over that one just yet - and she's recruited a few herself. But the idea had come to her in the night. Instead of pressing buttons, finding their leashes, and slowly integrating them into her service, why not take out of Master Vargas's book and make some herself?

She had never been permitted to reproduce, but times were different, now. They had to adapt. And Overseer Tectus was more then willing to usher in a new age if it was needed.

That was where she was at now, at the base of the Tower, with three gemstones clutched in her jaws. She'd found them while surveying the area and decided that these would be the three she'd go with for now. Just within the bottom of the towers, she set them each at intervals apart - a brown and gold bauxite, a rather plain looking epidosite, and a vesuvianite claw. One by one, she walked to each, laying a claw atop and transferring a small fraction of her magicka into them. And one by one, they began to grow into the rock beneath them, pulsing with life.

She observed them for a moment, watching the slow process, before snorting with approval and turning to return to her work.
