Olixeus Draeven

With a flap of wings, the dragon landed gently on his gray toes. Green claws clicked against the stones. A pleasant breeze soared in the air. A good day for the fresh hatchling to begin trying to learn how things work around here. There wasn't any information he gained yet. But there was the straight curiosity of figuring out how things might work.

Olixeus tucked his translucent wings at his side. Shaking off his head, cyan eyes caught onto a weird thing submerged into the river. Something relatively too far for him to get to. A pitter patter on his toes, debating if he should go after it. Dark gray tail dragged against the ground near the river. A shuffle of his neck.

No. He chooses not to. Not today, not without knowing much about it. It was far too scary to dive into the waters for a weird reflection. He stuck his nose against the ground near the river however. Calling for his power. Perhaps something could be learned here. Maybe it would deem if the waters were safe.

"Speech looks like this."

The gentle rush of water, the splashing thud of the Generator, blended into the same sound long ago. It was interrupted, suddenly, by a loud splash as a white wolf shot past Olixeus's field of vision, diving into the waters.

There were others, gathered there: murky images of a storm, of staring eyes, were visible in the darkness.

...The darkness? -Yes; in this vision, it seemed the lights were completely out. Only a strange storm gave light, in its lightning flashes. As the wolf clambered free, her goal became clear: a white cobra caught in her jaws, a topaz held by it, in turn. The wolf carried them both to shore--and a blast of lightning seared downward, crashing into the generator itself. Lights began to flicker on, and everything went quiet, the soft churning of the generator audible in the here-and-now beside him.

Olixeus watched with silent eyes. The world around him became dark, his eyes fixated to the waters. A bright white figure of a four legged creature ran. It dove into the waters with a large splash.

Many others crept into his vision. Eyes and figures he could not make out. A storm enraged around them, eyes peered. Glaring down. Olixeus could not tell, knew no difference if.. it was something currently watching.

A sudden gulp, his front forelegs intertwined with each other. Lightning clashed. The wolf emerged from the waters, a cobra in its jaw. In aide, the cobra held some sort of jewel in its fangs.

One last flash of lightning.

The lights flickered back on. Pupils dilated towards the bright scene he was used to. A gentle grunt, a stumble backwards on his hind legs. Final slash of his tail as he turned to dip away from the waters. His wings tucked loosely at his side. Grey legs brought him to leave the area with the lightning storm.

What did that mean? Who were they? How were they not hit? What the hell was watching?
