He had heard about the bounty board, figured he could gather some stuff and help out. Even if he really didn't care all that much about the rewards, it gave him a purpose to help out. Even now, as he wandered, he thought to himself, wondering what more he could do. Perhaps he could assist others in their bounties, see if anyone else could use a paw or two. Yes, that would be wonderful, a good thing to keep him busy.

As he traveled, he searched for an easy to get to tree, preferably one that was fallen and easy to get to the branches to gather and pull off. He moved through the lands, his head high as he searched, looking for what he was hoping to find. Sure enough, just as he wandered past a fallen tree, the site of some shatter pieces of wood caught his eyes. Firewood, good. He was still rather small, but he was determined, pawing at the fallen tree as he pulled at the wood, biting it and pulling at the branches until he was able to get a decent bundle.

He continued to work, gathering firewood from the fallen tree. It was hard work, one bundle already gotten as he worked tediously to get the other.

It took him some time, as he was still pretty small in comparison, but he was determined. It was that determination that pushed him forward, tugging and pulling at the branches until he finally gathered enough for a second bundle. He would have to be careful carrying them, taking them one at a time to where he needed to go.

He didn't mind coming back for the second one, it was better that than just causing it all to fall out onto the ground and having to regather it later.
