I'm tryna find forever - Amun - Aug 25 2025
Amun still has not left The Cathedral. It is the beginning, the place of birth - Amun has not gathered the confidence to leave it behind. Perhaps Amun never will. No. Amun will leave one day. There has been a tug, pulling Amun to the portal within The Cathedral. There is something beyond this home.
Exploration is not calling to Amun quite yet. Even then, Amun will return to this place. The halo atop Amun's head turns and glows as Amun's body rests among the pillows and soft silks. There is no returning to the place from before, had it been real? Amun thinks so.
It felt real.
In reality, the visions Amun had seen were simply dreams of something that once was. It is Amun's entire identity. The King of Gods. That is who Amun is.
Too bad Amun doesn't have the experience to warrant such a title. Not in this life, not yet.

From the moment she'd heard of a world beyond the caves, Adi had been enthralled. Sure, he often jumped from interest to interest, fixating on a new pretty plant or an especially interesting gembound. But this was a yearning so fierce he'd never felt anything like it, something compelling him to seek. He'd had his work cut out for him- it'd taken longer than she'd liked to find a gembound willing to speak with her and even longer to find one who could tell her how to get onto the surface of- of Let that was this places name. Let, let, let! She could say it forever.
As soon as Adi's paws touched the cathedrals floors his lungs constricted, eyes wide as saucers as he took everything in. It was so amazing! Gorgeous! It was..Adi didn't have the words for it. It just was! Taking in a deep breath, they were startled by just how crisp the air was, Adi hadn't even realized how musty the caves were until he smelt actual fresh air. She didn't think she'd be able to look at the caves the same way ever again.
So caught up in their wonder, they failed to notice Amun, to taken with the cathedral and all it had to offer.

Unlike Adi, Amun notices the stranger right away. They are... Sort of similar in build, though Amun has many extras. Adi is also clearly older. It's taken a day or so for Amun to get used to having such a small body - a growth spurt cannot come soon enough.
Amun watches the stranger look around for a few minutes before reaching out with something. It feels like a mental link opens as a power inside flows out - the same as it felt when Amun left the confines of the stone. Amun can tell the connection means something - communication?
