All I Want for Christmas is Youuuuuu - Triage - Dec 30 2025

With the hiddenite clutched safely in his mouth, the Triage stepped away to the edge of Polaris to set it down somewhere and give it its proper spark. Yet as the lion set it down against the stone and prepared to send a bit of life into the crystal, it already began to grow against the stone, as if the life-giving had already happened.

Buckley blinked, confused. "Uh, okay then. Guess we...didn't have to do that?" He reached forward with a paw to gently tap the stone to see if it would move and sure enough it was stuck fast to the rock.

Okay.

"Buckley." Ishani's voice was quiet, as if she was speaking just to the lion, who looked back at her, quizzically. She was curled around the side of the body facing him, and gestured up towards the goat's head. It was then that it ocurred to Buckley that Gore was oddly quiet.

He looked up and saw his sibling staring at nothing, eyes clouded and head sagging slightly. It had set the swordstaff down already but with the way its jaw seemed strangely relaxed, he wondered if it would have clattered out of its grip. Something gripped at his heart, ragged fear pulsing fast through his body and he couldn't help but roll a shoulder back, as if to push gently at Gore. "Hey. Are you okay?"

The movement seemed to rouse the goat, who blinked, the fogginess chased out of its gaze and, a moment later, its gaze snapped onto Buckley. "Wha...yeah. Yes! I'm fine. Headache is all!" It snorted, the moment well and passed in just an instant, yet still Buckley looked at it with worry. It caught the sympathy in his eyes and its lip curled in annoyance. "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT. I said I'm FINE. Turn your big stupid head around and away from me!"

Buckley huffed but did what it said, turning back to the gem. He wasn't going to forget about it, though. And from the way Ishani glanced at him, she wouldn't either. But for now, he moved on.

"What do you think it will be?" Buckley asked, softly. "A GREAT WARRIOR. And if it is not born that way then we will MAKE IT SO!!" Buckley hummed. "Hm, yeah. I'm hoping its nice at least." Ishani curled over the other side to get a better look at the stone. "I hope it is a good listener. Will we be raising it?"

Gore snorted. "Of COURSE. What, let it just run off on its own? Someone needs to teach it how to WALK!"

Ishani chuckled but didn't point out that it probably wouldn't be born with three separate heads...hopefully, at least.

"Buckley is speaking!" "GORE IS SPEAKING!!!" "Ishani is speaking..."

RE: All I Want for Christmas is Youuuuuu - Amun - Dec 30 2025

Amun, still holding the stone gently wanders through Polaris still. An unexperienced life - in the caves at least, Amun does not yet know the stone has life inside.

That is until Amun sees a stranger. Strangers? Amun notes three different voices, three beings stuck together merged into one. Somehow the sight isn't strange to Amun. Creatures of many forms live within the caves, Amun has seen them in passing from the cathedral. This is the first time Amun's seen something like them, though.

As the stone they hold takes place and plants itself within its new resting place, Amun has a couple revelations all at once. First, the stone Amun holds will probably do the same the moment it is put down. Two, something will come out after time has passed. No, not a something. A someone.

Amun will not be able to raise this being well enough. Something to figure out another day.

Amun decides to speak with this group - ah, but which one? Quick thinking decides the lion. With the ting of the bells, Amun feels a connection. The magic has worked, and thus Amun can deliver the message.

"Will mine do that as well?" Amun questions. The round shape of the three's placed stone says yes, but Amun is unsure.

Talking into someone's brain with no introduction or permission is a habit Amun still has yet to break.

Busy discussing with its body-mates, Buckley isn't prepared whatsoever for the sudden voice intruding into his own head. For a moment, he thought that Ishani was whispering in his ear again, but the voice was so wildly different then hers that he realized it was something else. It was a delayed reaction, his brain taking a moment to catch up before his head jerked up, ears pressed back against his head.

"What? Who said that? What?" He looked right and left and made to back up, but Gore wasn't prepared for his sudden movement. "HEY. Who are you talking to you? I didn't say anything!"

Ishani, meanwhile, immediately whipped around to look for a foe and found one, some feet away. Her tongue lashed in the air as she hissed softly, a warning, threading herself into a warning strike position. "Here," she snapped softly at the other two. "There is someone here."

Buckley immediately whirled around to the newcomer, eyes wide. Ishani protested and curled around the body instead to keep her eyes on Amun. "OH. Did you just say something to me?"

RE: All I Want for Christmas is Youuuuuu - Amun - Jan 01 2026

Amun begins to feel a little bit bad for confusing the collective with magic. It seems using the spell to speak can only target one of the three as well - which means it would end up being a private conversation. Amun supposes the one the spell gets used on could fill the others in if it were truly needed. With the gem in Amun's mouth, no words will be able to come out unmuffled. On top of that, Amun still has not tested if there even is a voice inside. It is as though the spell is Amun's only way of communication with words, there is a strong pull to the magic instead of using a voice.

If Amun could frown there would be one on the God's maw. The striking pose of the serpent has Amun second-guessing this entire interaction. Amun has no way to defend, not against a collective that appears to be so strong from the outside. A being like that would need to learn to work together, lest they hurt the one body they share.

Amun chooses to attempt to speak with the lion, once again. Perhaps the link will be easier to return to, since it had worked before.

As Amun's bells jingle with the force of using magic, the connection is there. It is weaker this time, as if the magic did not fully ingrain itself. That's alright, though. All Amun wishes to do is speak.

"Yes." Amun's voice would hum within Buckley's head if the lion should allow it. "I am curious about the stones. I have obtained one, but do not know how it works."

Amun probably should've thought about it before grabbing one. Could've waited and watched some of the others with theirs before walking off with a stone brimming with life, if that is what this is.
