blown away by the sight - Isaiah - Aug 30 2015
Isaiah Vita angels, they fell first, but I'm still here ![]() Isaiah admitted to himself that it was possibly the worst idea he ever had in the short span of life of his. He already missed the comfort of his papa's place, and the bones that came with it. He did stock up on what he could carry with his little wings, but eventually he resorted to carrying around some smaller remnants from larger pieces in his beak. He didn't bother to ask if it was okay to take some for the trip across the cave, but he did so anyway, slipping away from his home to go visit other areas outside Canis (he didn't know the name, but he considered it 'Boneland' for the time being). It took quite some time to leave on legs that weren't accustomed to walking, but he was incapable of flight for his current age. There were also plenty of distractions along the way, and plenty of breaks too. Eventually, he reached some destination that was beyond his comprehension. Blinking, the fledgling took in the foreign sight while his body was forcefully swaying from the invisible forces pushing against his small frame. The winds themselves were fairly weak although some stronger gusts caught him by surprise, and he fell a few times. He did grow irritated by it after awhile so he nestled himself on the ground, idly chewing and then dropping the remaining bone fragment in front of him. "This bad idea." he confirmed to himself in a low mutter as he braced himself for the stronger zephyrs in the room. He was exhausted from his last trek from his old break spot, and he didn't want to put up with the winds anymore than he needed to. He could just rest here for a moment before he decided to head elsewhere - or even better- home. "Listen to me."
@Baratheon RE: blown away by the sight - Baratheon - Aug 30 2015 Where did all these supposed Merrymen go? For having Monoceros as a home they most certainly didn't stick around for very long. Even Nemesis seemed to have disappeared somewhere. Wasn't she the supposed guardian? Didn't that mean she should stay to keep tabs on things. He guessed since he was around no one else wanted to be. After all, wouldn't their home be safe with a goddamn dragon in it? No one would dare mess with their belongings. Although if Bara had a choice he would certainly let everyone run amok in the cave just out of spite but he couldn't do that, not with Booker's life on the line. Louie would hurt him just to keep the dragon under control. It sickened him. It infuriated him. It saddened him. The monstrous beast sat across the Platforms. His body was shielded by the shadows of the rocks and unless one were specifically looking for him then they might not see him as he reclined, stretched his full seventeen feet across the ledges. At his paws were the remains of a cave deer. The creature was the last of a five course meal and as such was saved the death of being eaten hole. Instead Baratheon had ripped it up and torn off chunks of flesh before bring back a piece with him. His belly was comfortably full and as such he had been able to stave off his Bloodlust in favor of sleepily lounging above Monoceros. The chunk of meet, which was the deer's leg, he chewed and gnawed at like a dog on a bone. Pieces of the flesh disappeared slowly down his gullet until the femur bone was visible. A yawn echoed from Baratheon's throat as his pink eyes gazed downwards at the world below him. He almost missed the tiny creature in his lazy state but after a few blinks and a sniff to pick up the scent, he saw it. An intruder. He almost didn't care to do anything. Let intruders come in, it wasn't his territory. Then, he was reminded of what would happen if Louie found out he'd let someone in without getting questioned. It irritated him that he was so completely under half-face's control. Irritated, infuriated... depressed... He shook his head. He couldn't think about that. He had someone to deal with. The dragon stood, knocking the remains of the leg down to the ground, and then leaped from his spot on the platforms. He landed with a heavy thud on the ground right in front of the tiny bird. He would have intimidated the tiny creature but instead he saw something familiar about him. The way he looked the type of bird that he was. His eyes narrowed and he snaked his head downwards towards the creature's level. His head turned to the side so that he could fix him with one bright pink eye. Then he said in his low, rubmling voice, "Aza'zel?" words: 492

Isaiah Vita angels, they fell first, but I'm still here ![]() Everything was quiet, too quiet. The fledgling decided he wanted to rest here for the moment until the pain in his legs subsided. The only trouble he had encountered was the gusts of winds that roamed here, but it wasn't really trouble. It was actually fine when it decided to wind down. His small frame continued to sway when the wind did pick up at times, but he tried to close his eyes - just for a few minutes. A power nap sounded like a breeze more than it was in reality, because something fell upon the ground with a thump!; startling the poor bird. He was quick to get to his feet although he did fall a few times from the attempts to unwind himself. After squawking, he came to his senses to see something roll near him (not really). His mouth watered at the sight of the meat, but his attention was torn away as the ground vibrated - actually it shook - as the bird found himself losing his footing AGAIN. He was really getting tired of losing his balance so many times at this rate that he just frowned until his eyes bulged at the sight of someone even larger than the beasts he had encountered days before. He was actually capable of speaking before, but now he was speechless at the furred creature that was massive in size. Okay, it was really a bad idea to come to this area after all. It's head snaked down to his level as the bird inwardly screeched in terror, but he was too terrified to move an inch. Maybe he should play dead? It might make the giant go away, but then it might eat him! He couldn't help the trembling that followed as the beast rumbled a name familiar to Isaiah. He squeaked although he did not provide an answer to the question, or confirm he was what his papa was named. No, he wasn't his papa. He was Isaiah! Isaiah the fowl-tasting snack that might end up like that limb nearby. Well, the day would surely dragon at this rate. "Listen to me."
@Baratheon RE: blown away by the sight - Baratheon - Aug 30 2015 Well, he should have known that his sudden appearance would scare even the bravest of souls. He wasn't little anymore and was largest than pretty much all within the cave. However if this had been Aza'zel then he wouldn't have scared the critter quite so easily. Sheesh. Why was it that everyone feared him at the first sight of him? He hadn't even roared this time! He just wanted to question him and send him on his way lest one of the Merrymen showed up. Baratheon would have rolled his eyes if he could but he could not so he simply puffed out a little annoyed puff of pink smoke. No answer was forthcoming from the trembling babe. Baratheon took this as a sign to study the little bird closer. He was certainly pink like Aza'zel with those black-ish feathers and he had the same general shape but seemed... smaller? He didn't know. It was hard to tell with these tiny birds. These damned things all looked the same! How was he supposed to tell them apart when all they did was scurry around like mice? Snick. Went his eyelid as he blinked. A low rumbled sounded as he again spoke, "Look, little one, I asked a question. Would you just answer it? I'd hate to have to eat you for spying... you know trespassing is a crime." Pfft, and there it was. A guard dog. Was that all he was nowadays? RE: blown away by the sight - Azazel (Original) - Aug 30 2015 Monoceros. The land of the Merrymen. Once again, he adopted stealth and caution whilst flying through this cavern. He hated this place with a passion. Calling upon his magicka, he hoped that he could shift the wild winds of the room in his favor to aid in masking his scent of carrion and bones. Easily, his stone worked it's magic and the gusts followed Azazel, blowing his scent up to the roof of the cave where it would be lost. Good. So he stuck to the shade, careful not to get into any light or cast any shadows that could alert someone to his presence. Here in this room, Azazel was public enemy numero uno. He turned his crown downwards, deftly flying through the air. Azazel clutched his talons tightly together as an imaginary stone dropped in his gizzard. After flying further into Monoceros than he ever had before, carmine gaze finally found what he was looking for. And something else. Isaiah was before a very large fluffy thing. Baratheon. He could hear the dragon's rumbling voice claim that Isaiah was trespassing, and the poor child was terrified. After a quick check to see if anything else was nearby, Azazel mustered up his mighty Bone King courage and hovered down, landing next to his child. Instantly, he bowed his head, and chirped, @Isaiah RE: blown away by the sight - Isaiah - Aug 30 2015
Isaiah Vita angels, they fell first, but I'm still here ![]() Isaiah inwardly regretted his decision to wander away over and over again, but he knew that it was too late to turn back. He continued to stare wide-eyed at the giant creature that eventually puffed smoke from his nostrils. He did not seem pleased to know that the fledgling was ignoring a simple question, but he found himself deeply confused. Trespassing? What was trespassing? He could only theorize that he would be easy food for trespassing, and his definition was obviously one where it was bad. Plain bad. It was a crime. A crime must be something bad. In response, the poor thing cheeped sadly, accepting his fate. It was almost like deja vu for him, but he did not know why. He just simply allowed the notion to pass for the time being even if he could feel some part of him wanting to whimper like a canine while accepting defeat. Something swooped down from above, causing Isaiah to move his head somewhat to see who had also entered the scene. Papa! The terrified look upon his face was mixed with relief over a face that looked uncannily similar to him. His papa landed on the ground next to him, but even the king wasn't a match in size compared to the one that planned on eating him. He scooted closer to his father figure until his dark feathers brushed up against the lighter shade. He was comforted then, listening to the dialogue spoken as an apology while the fledgling felt embarrassed beneath his fear. Remind him never to enter anything involving a gust of wind again. Surprisingly, he found himself trying to snuggle in a way he didn't expect himself too before slowly pulling away, but he remained close nonetheless. "H-he won't eat me, right?" he asked in a small voice, his eyes still upon the beast. "Listen to me."
@Baratheon RE: blown away by the sight - Baratheon - Aug 30 2015 Again, no answer came and Baratheon could feel a bit of irritation form in his gut. He tried to tamping down his irritation. He had to remember that this one probably hadn't ever heard of or seen a dragon. It was natural for him to react to a predator in this way. If he was that size he'd probably be speechless too... Or maybe he'd remember that talking would probably save him! "Come on, boy, I ain't gonna hurt you! Speak!" He narrowed his eyes and snorted. It was then that he heard the flap of wings and a whoosh of air as a larger pink and black bird dropped to the ground. Well, there was living proof. This wasn't Aza'zel. But who was he? Aza'zel hastily explained that this was his son which Baratheon could see as truth. They were so much alike he could hardly tell them apart except for one being more black but that hardly mattered to him. Details were hard for his mind to comprehend. He was wired to see movement and the overall bigger picture like one cave deer being a better piece of prey than other. "I allowed you to live before because you said you could help. I'm skeptical still of what help you could offer... Don't make it a habit of coming here. If Booker is hurt further because of you, then..." Then he'd make sure to put the bird and his son on the list of gembounds he'd kill before sinking into a depression. He grunted and lifted his head, a large arch in his neck as he peered down at the two. "Tell your son that I try not to eat innocent creatures. Especially when they're furry and hardly worth my time." His last sentence was a joke although he wasn't sure if Aza'zel would see it that way. In any case he didn't really care. If the bird took offense it was no skin off of his nose. words: 330

Isaiah Vita angels, they fell first, but I'm still here ![]() There was an urgent need for him to speak up even when the beast began to demand it with irritation in his tone. He couldn't blame the giant, he would have wanted an answer too if some random gembound wandered into his land. He might have been less intimidating, considering his size and age, especially against anything larger than a typical bird. There were plenty of larger creatures that wandered this unknown world. There were some first-hand experiences. Isaiah was free from the burden of remaining silent when his papa remained close though, but he still felt that the two of them could be gobbled up so easily. He wasn't exactly optimistic about their chances right now, but he had to trust his father on this one. Eventually he had to speak up, but it was towards the man he felt more comfortable around. It was a question as much as it was a worry for their sake. There was a promise in the reply as the fledgling relaxed slightly. The large beast said some things that he could somewhat follow although his attention was increasingly more difficult to tame in the long speech. He looked up when his papa decided to speak up towards this when his name was mentioned. Yeah, he didn't want any harsh words used against him! Now, his attention turned to the rock that was kicked aside, and he wondered if it had made the older bird boulder now. He frowned. Should he say something? Would the beast like jokes? From the scary look on his face, the bird decided against it for the time being. "Sorry for treck-passing." he mumbled, butchering the new term he had discovered. It was something that might appease the bird-eater, but he just hoped it would lessen any punishment towards him. "Listen to me."
@Baratheon RE: blown away by the sight - Baratheon - Aug 31 2015 Baratheon stared down at the two birds, gaze focusing in on the smaller one. His puffy feathers and his obvious fear. Yes. Young. But even youth should learn not to wonder where they were not needed. What if one of the others had found him? Surely Nemesis would have tried to stomp the poor puff in her reckless rage. And Louie? If he knew that the babe was from Monoceros he would use it as ransom! "I don't mean to be harsh but think. What if I hadn't been the one to find him? Nemesis would have trampled him and Half-face or Fang would have kidnapped him! Perhaps I'm being harsh to save his skin!" His teeth were bared but he wasn't trying to threaten him. It just boiled his gut to think what would happen if Louie captured someone else and turned them into a prisoner like him. He snorted, pink smoke curling from his nostrils. "Look, not trying to tell you how to raise your kid or be formal just think about it, would ya? Tell your kids to steer clear of here. It's dangerous." He was done. If that didn't get through to the bird or made him want to fight then so be it. Truth be told though he didn't really want to fight for once in his life. A combination of his imprisonment and the food he'd gorged himself on. He wanted nothing more than for the two to get going so that he could take a nap. |
