GRRRR I NEED TO GET BETTER AT FIRE - October - Jul 12 2026
this is mainly a magic roll solo because if october fails a low int ONE MORE TIME I WILL SCREAM but anyone is welcome to pop in before it exits-
October was tired of its magic never working. It didn't know WHY, just that heat didn't radiate from its eyes or insides or feet when it wanted or needed it, and it was FRUSTRATING. It was supposed to be better at this, and since it wasn't, it would find a way to GET better.
This was the perfect place to do that, it felt. Surely fire could not be reluctant in a place as hot and fiery as this? It made its way as close to the Leo entrance as it could bear, and feeling the searing air in its lungs, inhaled it even deeper. It wanted this. It liked this. And it would summon it.

Its eyes began to shimmer with a golden glow. Then the glow radiated outward, until a faint aura of flames flickered around their face. October was not satisfied. It was not good enough. It needed to get better, rise higher, challenge itself to reach even greater heights. It willed the heat into its feet and wingtips as well. More of it should be fire.

Once again, its despicable lack of skill showed itself. October let out a series of short, frustrated chirps and took several steps forward until it felt like the ground itself would set its feet aflame. It basked in this heat, searing it into its memory. Then it retreated onto cooler ground. How would it know if it had improved and succeeded unless it could feel the difference between environment and its own magic?
