Hello Sweet World - Oksana - Sep 07 2015 ![]() RE: Hello Sweet World - Feral - Sep 07 2015 The dingo heard the sneeze, and nearly fell over in her haste to jerk her head toward it. For awhile she was silent, listening, but all she could hear was a soft, muffled "thump" that came a couple of times a second. She hesitated, and then changed course, creeping through the ferns and finally, eyes bright with curiosity, over the mossy ledge ahead. What she saw absolutely baffled her: a black-and-white thing, all fluff and fuzz, rolling through the greenery. The dingo pup slowly came closer, then sat down, staring. She still didn't speak--didn't know how to, perhaps, or was incapable, or maybe she just rarely if ever talked. Instead she just watched, for awhile, before finally standing up again, approaching, and trying to sniff the rolling furball. Was it food? It didn't look like food. Anyway food didn't usually do--... whatever this--whatever-it-was was doing. What was this thing? ((ooc -- @Oksana )) RE: Hello Sweet World - Niru - Sep 07 2015 i hadn't been to eridanus since i'd found the wolf pup. the fire wolf, hatched atop a mushroom. i cringed at the initial greeting, as i wasn't the only one to encounter the wolf of fire - no there had been another to be with us. a crazy little kitten mumbling on and on about something called the all mother. as i walked on, i shook my head in protest and irritation, but the action caused for major pain about the new gashes on my face and neck. the walking made my other wound scream, however i ignored them. while it still hurt, it wasn't near as bad when i'd first gotten the wounds. for that, i was grateful. but when the sneeze and the mixture of scents invaded my nasal passages, it was time to put all such thoughts aside and focus on these new encounters. i approached from behind, looking at both the dog-like creature and a leon-like creature. the leon-like creature wasn't the same, she was different colors. black and white, but still just as fluffy and lovely. i smiled, the scars about my countenance yelling at me and cracking, small blood amounts of blood trickled from the now opened scabs. i went to stand near the dog-like creature, observing it for a moment. "hello there," i was almost certain it could understand me better than the black and white bear. but soon, i followed up, and approached the black and white bear and chuckled at her little antics. "and hello to you, hatchling." my head raised, turning back toward the dog creature. "she's probably just hatched, don't you think?" the smile remained as i looked back at the little bear, and nodded as if to reassure myself. @oksana @feral RE: Hello Sweet World - Oksana - Sep 07 2015 ![]() RE: Hello Sweet World - Feral - Sep 07 2015 Feral flinched and jerked away, galloping a few loping paces to one side, as the much larger lion cub approached. Ears flattened back and hackles on end, the dingo trotted a bit further. She briefly bared fangs, flashing them at the stranger, circling. The lion was speaking--and while the dingo didn't understand its words, she realized at once that it was calm, friendly, in both tone and demeanor. She looked half-away, still keeping her eyes on the lion, but circled to sniff after the panda. She was leaning up, pulling something down, and Feral could see that the panda's claws and teeth were long and sharp--like hers. Maybe the dripping-stuff was good to eat? The dingo slunk closer, close to the ground and quick, nabbing a bite of green--then immediately spat it out, grimacing as she backed up. Nope. it wasn't meaty, wasn't bloody; it wasn't rat. Gross. The dingo backed away again, circling at a distance and staying well clear of the panda and the lion--but not quite leaving, yet. ((ooc -- @Niru )) RE: Hello Sweet World - Niru - Sep 08 2015 with the strange antics of the dog creature, i watched her as she spazzed and reacted as though i'd just smacked her. my brows furrowed, and my head cocked to the side slightly, careful not to aggravate my wounds too much. i did not move from my position however i did make it clear i was speaking to the dog-like critter. "oh hush now, don't be afraid dear one! my name is niru. niru. do you have a name?" i did not speak fast, nor slow, not too quiet, nor too loud. the right moderation was executed when speaking to the rather feral creature, wild at heart she was. i wondered what made her so..oh what was the word - underdeveloped? but that sounded rude. i wanted to help her. i smiled at her again, then lowered my body toward the soft mire to communicate to both creatures i was not a threat. my attention then returned to the humming bear, munching on her snack and i chuckled childishly. "you are so cute. do you have a name?" i asked the same of her, hoping to coax words out of both of them. i seemed to be on some sort of spree where i find all these hatchlings, all these babies. was i to hoard them all? i wouldn't mind that, i quite enjoy the babies. and though i'm not very old myself, i liked to think i could help them get along in life, and that they'd remember me with such a fuzzy compassion as i did cancer and the lioness. rounded ears swiveled to relax as i kept my movements soft, slow, and my eyes attentive. @oksana |
