[MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Bevy - Sep 07 2015 happening at the same time as this thread! Moss filled with water, hundreds of leaves stripped into bandages, various fungi and flowers, vines and twigs, with and without cobwebs-- Bevy had collected so much over the last few cycles. As she organized everything, she knew that soon she would need every single last bit. It frightened her-- the insistent murmuring of Ratchie wasn't helping much either. They wouldn't fight. They would stay back. Everything would be fine. No one was going to die. Hopefully. She closed her eyes, trembling, and wished she knew where Quix was-- or... or anyone, really. Leon would be fighting, Dark was helping... Maybe she should have asked Makyna to help her with the medical things, but did Ky know anything about healing? She should have taken the time to teach more of them. Still, she had everything sorted into the alcove of the tunnel, and she could hear the others gathering now. She would fly off to warn them, and then come right back. Hopefully someone would come to help her, but if not, she was ready to heal any burns, any broken limbs... She was ready. Yet she never felt more unprepared. Dark was out there, but she knew she couldn't hold him back just because he couldn't see. He had done so much by himself, he was a big bird now. She sighed and wished he had chose to become a guardian instead of a scout-- things would have been so much simpler. And for a moment, she wished Cancer was there, to show her the way. Just for a moment, and then she chased the thought out from her mind. She could do this. She was the leader of Maji Walezi. She would make sure that Raheerah fell without death, without .Enna RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Makyna - Sep 08 2015 Her mind was in a muddle, her paws trembled, and her tail twitched as she entered the tunnel and laid down near the entrance so she could watch the action. Bevy was there, she knew from scent and because she'd saw her enter earlier but the lioness couldn't bring herself to say anything. What was going to happen? Who was going to die? How badly were they going to get hurt? Not just they... but Leon... Would he make it? Would he be fine? Oh... All Mother please watch over him. Her head dipped and her eyes closed briefly as she prayed this prayer for her beloved. Those clear blues eyes opened to stare back out into the tunnel. May the All Mother watch over them all. words: ---

To Enna's surprise, someone did show up. She blinked, turning her head towards the sound of soft pawsteps on the grainy, clay floor, her feathers puffing up against the constant chill of the cavern. At least the tunnel was getting the heat from Polaris. She glanced back at the feline, letting a feeling of relief wash over her. At least she wouldn't be alone in her monumental task. If a gembound needed to be moved, Makyna would be strong enough to help. That in itself would be useful. .Enna RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Makyna - Sep 12 2015 The lioness' eyes were on the creature's preparing for battle so when Bevy's voice interrupted her thoughts she gave a start. Her fur rose and her head turned sharply to look at the bird. Only after a few moments did she lose the tenseness in her body though the despair still remained in her gaze. "Yes? Her voice was soft but hollow with the worries in her mind. Help? Makyna's conflicted blue eyes turned to the sticks that Bevy wanted help with before turning back to the bird. Well, she was here to help with the injured so this would be a good place to start. Her golden head dipped in a "yes". With her magic it would be an easy task. The lioness turned and padded over to Bevy to sit next to her then she tapped into her magic and began to lay out the vines like Bevy wanted. "Whatever you need I can help do. That's what I came for, my friend." She tried a smile but a felt forced so she just focused on lining out the vines, trying to occupy her mind from what was going on outside. RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Black - Sep 20 2015 ![]() All he could really think of was the little bird speaking of injury. Something to the tune of, "make sure if anyone gets injured, they come back here." He could barely walk; his fur was singed, his skin hot and aching, each step bringing sharp pains where his paws were burnt and his skin was torn. His eyes were dry and hot, his vision blurry, and there was a ringing in his ears. The black dog's entire body throbbed with pain; he ignored it. Instead his focus, past his gasping breaths, were on the brown mustelid who he was dragging from Polaris. He had barely flicked a gaze toward the owl that crouched in the tunnel entrance, staring at them with empty, blind green eyes. He ignored the sounds of battle that receded behind them. Only when he saw the vines neatly-laid-out did he allow himself any measure of emotion, the faintest twinge of relief touching his stone heart. Black was carrying Fisher by the scruff. His musky brown fur filled Black's maw and nostrils, as did the scent of burned hair. He had fallen; his magic had been strong, but Fisher had fallen, and he'd been screaming. The sound, or rather the memory of it, still tore at him, still ate at him. He laid Fisher's limp body down gently beside the vines, and looked to Bevy, and the lioness beyond. He collapsed to his stomach, lying there and staring, his gaze demanding attention. "Help him," he woofed simply. @Bevy ; @Makyna RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Bevy - Sep 21 2015 happening at the same time as this thread! The first causalities. Bevy raised her beak and looked over the dog and the smaller, longer dog and instantly recognized the latter. That brown noodle. Of course he would be the first down-- who even let him get into this kind of trouble all the time? Still, she didn't so much as cast a suspicious glance at Black as she hopped forward-- she had no idea of their relationship and she wasn't about to cast blame on someone who had so loyally brought the injured back to safety... Though. She paused, looking up at the mastiff, a frown in her eyes where it couldn't take hold in her beak. .Enna RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Fisher - Sep 21 2015 While Fisher was mostly unconscious, his gem knew what to do. Furiously, what little non-zappy energy Fisher had began to work at knitting together his cuts and scrapes, though the burns were something his body couldn't quite seem to handle. His breathing was still rough, smoke still choking his lungs, but slowly, he seemed to be pulling through the situation, and would probably soon be stable. Perhaps, he would even wake up... But not yet, no, he was too busy dreaming about the mists, the Kings, and the fire, fire that scored his body and brought him immense pain. @Makyna YOOOOOO RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Makyna - Sep 21 2015 It was going on, she could hear the screams and shouts and other cries of pain in the background but she worked to ignore it. The injured would come to them... those that could and if they couldn't Ky would go out to them. Everyone would be treated and would get better. That's what she had to keep believing. It wasn't long before the first two came in. A large black dog with... Fisher! Makyna's eyes stretched wide with worry at the poor fisher. He looked absolutely terrible and the dog didn't seem much better off either. She would follow the black dog over to the wall and comply with Bevy's words. "Don't worry... Bevy knows what she's doing. She'll have Fisher fixed up in no time, just you wait!" Her voice was forcefully cheery to hopefully reassure the dog. From the vines she focused her power on some moss and lifted it into the air, then she dipped it into a puddle of water and began to gently work at the dark dog's wounds. "Is there anything else ailing you? You know, anything I can't see? Broken bones or anything of the like?" She tried to sound confident but this was her first time healing anyone... She hoped she was doing it right. After a few minutes two more creatures came in, one that she knew quite well. Relief coursed through her body to see him relatively unharmed. "Leon! Leon over..." Her words trailed off when she saw the massive white thing on his back. Was that Baratheon? He looked terrible! Coat soaked in blood, one eye missing... What on earth had happened? The dragon looked for all the world like he was dead. Her blue gaze trailed over to Bevy, shock in her eyes. What on earth could they do for him? RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Black - Sep 21 2015 ![]() He watched with a studious sort of calm as Bevy spoke, and took over. He lay quiet, unobtrusive, large ears pricking up to watch Makyna. Despite his wounds, he seemed relatively alert--even sharp, perhaps even overly so. His whole body jerked with Baratheon was carried in, his eyes widening--then narrowing in recognition. Perhaps the white 'dragon' would die. That would be best; at least he had fought on their side, this time, but all would be better if he perished. He was danger, just as much as Raheerah had been. Black was briefly tempted to try and finish it, but thought better of the fleeting thought, turning back away. At the deep, throbbing chant of "NEMEAN," and the familiar droning buzz, he tried to leap to his feet with a threatening huff of a bark. Down he staggered, his hind legs failing him, so that he lay glaring and growling at the far end, blood and drool leaking from his jowls. He seemed to entirely ignore Makyna's question, or perhaps didn't even hear it. His wounds seemed obvious, nonetheless--bruises, torn flesh, burns. The poor lion would have hardly had a moment on her patient--and he wasn't a very good one, almost ignoring her care. He began to drag himself forward, hackles raised--then paused, glancing back toward Fisher. Bevy seemed to be quite prepared to care for him, but... To and fro. To and fro. The tunnel, the brown mustelid. Choices. At last he satisfied himself by crawling to where the green-eyed owl was staring blindly into Polaris, at the end of the tunnel. Black lay at the tunnel's mouth, too, peering out into the fires and the madness that engulfed the crystalline cave, while keeping himself between the danger and Fisher. He wanted to rush out, to chase that buzzing and bite it and kill it, but he couldn't. Not yet. He couldn't even stand. So for now, he lay near the other injured, watching the dancing fairy taunt the dragon beyond, a soft growl rumbling from his chest. RE: [MW] Quest: The Fiery Pit Back up! :3 - Bevy - Sep 21 2015 happening at the same time as this thread! Bevy had only just started tending to Fisher's wounds-- which were healing remarkably fast, though she didn't know how... perhaps his body had come up with a way to deal with him constantly throwing himself into danger-- when Leon and the others showed up with more-- a white noodle that she remembered, so much bigger than last time they met, and more injured. Still, she knew she had to work fast to help some of them-- Baratheon looked the worse, half his face soaked with blood, his eye an empty hole flooded with crimson. She did not like the sign of that. She had no idea how to treat that. She shook her head, channeling her magic to her beak, so her healthiest bacteria would take over the leaf, and hopefully fight off any infection Baratheon was at risk of getting. Her nervousness seemed to get to her, however, as her bacteria refused to bend to her will. She would just have to hope the dragon was strong enough to pull through with basic treatment. She didn't want to risk more drastic measures. .Enna |
