look look see see - Farrah - Sep 12 2015

---------

Something seem to pull the young female away those many cycles ago when she was only a pup, just hatched from her chrysalis and now something is pulling her back in just the same manner. No longer a soft tiny little thing, her legs had grown and form has matured. "Look look see see going up the lane . . ." Such a sweet tone rang out through the tunnel, bouncing from rock to rock as her little song was sung. Where had she been this whole time? Why, she couldn't even answer that fully since she might have been lost? Or was it an adventure? Probably that, since getting lost was no fun.

Warmth flowed from her laughter, soon glowing brightly as she made it to the center of the tunnel, standing with both opening in plain view. The real question though, is how she went without running into anyone this whole time? Well, besides those cave beings that said nothing but only watched. The shiba leapt up to a larger rock this time, almost missing at first but she soon stood high above. Followed by more nonsense, "Here comes Dot, here comes Scot and here comes Chicken Jane!" Oh what fun! Farrah took in a deep breath as she surveyed the area around her, not sure she had been to this area of the caves before. Something told her to return, to go back; but who would she meet?

She hummed her way through the tunnel, excited for exploring the caves again. She left Pounce asleep in Cetus, safe and sound in a hollow log, following her wandering feet. She was slowly chiseling her way into exploring every part of the caves, determined to see it all. So far she really liked this tunnel! It was bright and smelled sweet, with its soft glowing moss and fae lights out of the corner of her good eye. Every time she turned her head to see it better through her one good eye, they disappeared, playing a fun game with her. She would find them, and they would play properly with her instead of teasing her!

But when she turned a corner, something with a more definite glowing form caught her attention! A singing dog was hopping from one stone to the other, and she smiled, rushing to greet them. Besides the crow Eve, she didn't meet very many other gems with the same light-bringing affinity that she did! Oh, how lovely!

"Hello!" She said excitedly, bowing her head quickly. "What game are you playing? Can I join in?"

She tried to bring up her magic in order to make a good first impression. Her enthusiasm sparked something in her, and without even trying to breathe her magic to life, it sprung from her, and suddenly so many deer jumped into life from mid air, dancing with an aura of glowing fireflies. She laughed, full of joy, and jumped atop the nearest rock. "What's your name?"

"This is how I speak."

Had repeated the couple lines she had sung once more, the words danced around the tunnel walls with a pleasant echo. A nice place for singing. A quick nod was given as she was about to jump down from her perch up high when a voice met her ears. Twisting around, spinning until she laid eyes on the very figure who had called out to her. "Not a name for it, just words that came to me." Inching closer to the edge of the rock, sliding on down and soon coming face to face with one who glowed even brighter then she. Would she be jealous? Absolutely not, but she wished one day she could glow as bright. Enough to light up all the rooms? To show everyone how happy they could all feel.

Naive, but she didn't care much for thinking about the negative side of things. After all, this was a new possible friend! "It has been oh so long since I've met another in the caves, the tunnels have guided me in circles . . . not sure for how long but now I've met you!" A skip, hop and a bounce let her land before the doe, "My name is Farrah, may I ask your name?" Though, she was once called Beautiful by a certain fellow; would she meet him again?

She grinned, feeling energetic from the strong casting of her magic, and replied, "I'm glad to meet you too Farrah! I don't have a name yet, but I'm looking for it. It's here somewhere, I'm sure of it. So in the meantime, I'm exploring and getting lost too!"

She laughed again, jumping up onto the next nearest rock, the glowing deer she'd created jumping with her, some of them nosily sniffing and investigating the pretty Fallah as if they held true life. It amused her to control them that way, like a master puppeteer, like a proper storyteller in real form. And after so long of casting that particular spell, it came easily to her, once the magic was cast.

"I bet you would like to see my Pounce, they are about the same size as you now! They love to play and be silly, and they're currently asleep in the misty forest room. Have you been there yet? It's easy to get lost there."

She poised herself to jump to another stone, and jumped as easily as a breath, with grace and poise. She acted like she could do so all the time, as if she never stumbled or fell head over heels at all, oh no, of course not!

The doe didn't have a name? Oh, what a shame indeed, but she must at least have a nickname yes? "What may I call you then?" Head twitched to the side as she let her eyes drift onto the light that the other created. It was shaped like the female but was glowing so brightly. Could the small dog do the same? Taking in a deep breath, she attempted to mimic the other. Tail even held still, curled onto her back as she pictured the image in her mind. Another dog, just like herself. As Farrah opened her eyes, there before her was a ball of light, slowly growing and forming into a new shape.

Not perfect like the white doe's of corse but not bad at all for a first time attempt! The light dog would run after then alongside the light doe, all this time the shiba darted around the other way to watch the puppets in the tunnel. "Would you mind if I called you Stunning?" For that was the word that came to mind looking at the other. Only pausing as the mention of others, she had friends, what joy! "Young, but as big as I?" Not even aware that she was tiny compared to so many in these caves.

"Well, I've been called Pearl before," She smiled, "And Legs, too...Oh!" She watched as the Fallah created a light dog to dance with her deer, playing with them! It wasn't quite as detailed as her flock, but it was adorable all the same!

"Oh, how clever! I didn't know anyone else could do that too! What else can you do?" She stared, delighted, at Fallah. Maybe they could teach her a spell she didn't know, like Eve did!

When the Fallah called her stunning, she laughed,
"Oh, you are cute! That's very flattering of you! And yes, Pounce is young, but as big as you now. They've grown a bit since I found them."

"What have you explored since you got lost? Anything that peeked your interest?" She lowered her head playfully as she hopped from one rock to the other. She barely paid attention to her light deer now, as they took on a life of their own in playing with the light dog.

She could see why someone would call her legs, for such long ones the doe had indeed. Unlike the legs of the shiba inu, short and stocky like the rest of her form. Though, she was still a quick thing. "I think I'll call you Stunning, far more flattering for sure." Her light dog played along side the light deer, seeming to chase them along the walls of the tunnel or were the deer chasing it? Farrah giggled, "This is only the second time I've tried to do it . . . but it looks far better then before." The last time, the dog didn't even take a real shape and was much like the orbs she could control. The female bounded up and take her stop on top of a rock, facing over to the white doe again.

"I can't say if one or two things, but almost all. This place is so vast and full of so many nooks and crannies to discover. I doubt I even saw a fraction." Pausing to recall something great to share. Ah, yes. "Did you know there are so many different types of lower gems in these tunnels? So many sort of bunnies and mice, depending on where the location was. " Tail twitched softly, in a rhythmic motion, with her mind else where now, the light dog slowly dimmed and would soon dissipate.

She saw the light dog slowly fade away, and her light deer looked around for their playmate, wondering where it had gone. She chuckled, and made them run down the hall and out of sight to disappear, as if they were trying to find the light dog.

"I've seen the lesser gems around," She murmured still focusing on the hallway, "But I haven't really paid attention to them, as such. What kinds have you seen?"

Anything that would be a good inspiration for a story was most welcome, she thought. "I agree that the caves are incredibly vast. I still haven't been everywhere either, even though I've tried my best to do so. Most of the tunnels I've never really stayed to peruse, only passing through to get to the rooms."

She rather felt like playing around with her magic again. Why not? They could play together, she and her new dog friend, and experiment and have fun, since they both had the same affinity. It was nice meeting another with the same kind of magic! Especially one so carefree and happy!

But she was in too light a mood to seriously work with her magic, and with such loose focus, the magic slipped away from her before it could form, her gem in her eye flickering with pale gold light. She laughed it off, and jumped to another rock. Oh well! She'd practice seriously another time.

"What is the toughest spell you've ever tried?" She asked with a playful grin.

"This is how I speak."
