The Emerging - Zevruu - Sep 23 2015 Zevruu could feel that the time had come. It was time for him to emerge from his chrysalis. Cracks began to appear in the chrysalis as it began to break. Fragments fell off, and soon, the Serval had emerged. Shaking off any fragments that clung to his fur, the small Serval began to look around. Light reflected off of crystals, providing the Serval with light to see with. He continued to look around, taking in the sights around him. The walls were covered with streaks of white quartz. Large, pristine crystals appeared to sprout from the ground. Nobody, as far as he could tell, was nearby. RE: The Emerging - Feral - Sep 23 2015 The dingo was sniffing around the edges of one of the strange broken structures when she heard it: a sharp crack, a tumbling sound and--nothing? Curious, she moved at an easy trot over toward the noise, rounding the corner rather warily. Was that a--a puppy, on the floor? The semi-feral dingo had no idea what a kitten was; hell she'd probably have tried to eat it if not for her recent interaction with the lion Niru. As a result she instead decided to approach, careful and quiet, peering and sniffing at it as close as it'd allow her to get. "Hel-lo," she tried, slowly sitting down to watch it. "...New?" Most of the Gembound in the cave were much clearer speakers than she, and most would have known better what to do with one of the newly-hatched, but hey, it was the thought that counted--right? ((ooc -- @Zevruu )) RE: The Emerging - Zevruu - Sep 23 2015 The Serval pricked his ears as an animal came up to him. He tilted his head as she got nearer, and slowly blinked. "Hi..," he murmured quietly. "Y-yeah, I am new." He cautiously watched the dingo, wondering what she would do. He continued to look around, trying to get used to the new surroundings. @Feral RE: The Emerging - Feral - Sep 24 2015 The dingo sat down, a little confused over what to do next. She didn't really know who or what she was, so she could hardly introduce herself. "...Name?" she tried at last, tilting her head quizzically. The thing was long, tan, and rather adorable, she thought, what with the black spotting and the gentle fuzz and large, innocent eyes. Or that's how she saw them, anyway. Her tail swished slowly, briefly, from side to side on the rock as she watched the cat, wondering just what to do with it. ((ooc -- @Zevruu )) RE: The Emerging - Zevruu - Sep 24 2015 Zevruu thought a little bit, before replying, "Zevruu." The serval then slowly began to get up, and wobbled around. He wasn't used to walking, having just emerged from the chrysalis. He slowly walked around, sniffing the crystals and anything else that was nearby. He fell over a couple of times, letting out a startled squeak each time. @Feral RE: The Emerging - Feral - Sep 24 2015 The dingo's pupils dilated as the cat toddled and squeaked, two disparate instincts within her whispering "prey" and "puppy." She stood suddenly and then hesitated, one cream-furred forepaw dangling in the air. She blinked, trying to regain control of her urges, and then more slowly padded forward. She couldn't say why, but the hackles on her back were lifted slightly. She moved to the serval and gently, carefully sniffed over his back and head, then sat back, again, eyeing him. "Zevruu." She wasn't sure what else to do, or say; it hadn't yet occurred to her to ask if the little guy was hungry. So instead she just sort of followed along, as if babysitting, or perhaps considering eating the kitten, moving a few steps and then sitting--watching him explore. ((ooc -- @Zevruu )) RE: The Emerging - Zevruu - Sep 24 2015 Zevruu fell over once more. Letting out a quiet huff of annoyance, he rose. He was falling over less often now though, so that was an improvement. He then lightly jumped as a cold nose pressed against his fur lightly. Looking over his shoulder, he saw the dingo curiously watching him. He then continued to explore. Once the little kitten was satisfied, he sat down and looked up at the dingo, unsure of what to do now. @Feral RE: The Emerging - Feral - Sep 24 2015 Well, unfortunately, if the serval was looking for guidance, he was out of luck. The dingo looked every bit as clueless as the kitten and then some; when he sat down, so did she, staring at him blankly with her amber eyes. "What now?" she asked, tail wagging slowly. Maybe the kitten would want to play? She hopped up and tried a play-bow, her front end dropping low, panting with bright eyes toward the little stranger. It didn't occur to her that maybe this might be too sudden a movement from such a larger creature, and might startle the kitten--but then, maybe it wouldn't. Maybe he would understand, and want to play? She dropped on her belly then rolled onto her back, waving a paw vaguely toward Zevruu in a rather feral gesture, another invitation to come over. All the while, her tail was wagging, any potential eating of kittens apparently forgotten. ((ooc -- @Zevruu )) RE: The Emerging - Zevruu - Sep 24 2015 Zevruu sat awkwardly for a bit more. He could see the dingo's tail wagging slowly. And then, all too fast, she was in a different stance. The sudden movement made the kitten jump in surprise, and stare warily at the dingo. After a moment's hesitation, when Zevruu realized she meant no harm, he began to slowly pad up to her as she rolled onto her back. He then stared back curiously. @Feral RE: The Emerging - Feral - Sep 24 2015 The dingo went still, upside-down with a rather silly grin on her face, incisors and upper canines accidentally bared by a drooping upside-down upper lip. She continue to lay in that position, peering at the serval, her front paws curled against her chest. "What now?" she repeated, as if asking the kitten himself what came next. A clueless canine, clearly. ((ooc -- @Zevruu )) |
