[Contest] LIZARD LICKERS - Kerberos - Sep 23 2015

Kerberos had no clue that Polaris had been on fire, aside from the smell of burning, he had missed that whole entire event and was probably a much happier dog for it. When he was a pup, he had tried to hunt the lizards that roamed Polaris-- small, zappy creatures that he figured tasted fairly good. He had never had the chance to eat one, however, because the water had snatched his prize from him and nearly froze his tail off.

Still, the hound was sure he could find them now, and since his magic was a lot more controlled now, he was sure he would be able to find and eat a plenty pawful of them... If he could catch them. Snorting, the mammoth three-headed hound of hell looked around, sniffing around the broken crags and cracks of the shattered landscape. Since the battle of Polaris, the terrain had changed wildly. He wondered, halfheartedly, if the Alpha, Arkrael, had been here and done all of this destruction. He wondered if one gembound could even do all of this-- probably not. There was scorch marks, too, ashes and blood burned into the stone.

It should have perhaps left him worried, but the now fully grown dog seemed too intent on his hunt to care. In fact, the only thing that could distract him from his hunt was the presence of another gembound. He caught the scent of something much bigger than a cave lizard-- a wolf. Not Arkrael, but he knew enough dogs to know when another dog was around.

"Hello?" The canine woofed softly, putting his tail to a gentle, playful wag. "Friend?" He hoped they wouldn't hide from him-- he was quite friendly, really, and he wasn't in the mood to fight or eat anyone for once. Nope. He just wanted a tasty, zappy lizard, for his best buddy Bones. "Hunt?" An open invitation, given to the stranger that he could smell but not see, as he lowered himself into a play bow, tail flailing behind him.

RE: [Contest] LIZARD LICKERS - Ghost - Oct 01 2015

Baratheon, or whatever he called himself now, was worrying him. He was missing an eye, a chunk of his horn, and his wing was broken. Other lacerations tore at the dragons body and because of the lion and bear combo, he missed the dragons awakening. He understood their wanting to catch up and things, but had he not left baratheon, he wouldnt have missed him waking up. He held somewhat of a grudge towards the couple, so he left pisces today. Where he ended up, he wasnt certain.

He could smell someone else around, and it wasnt long before not one, but three voices were speaking, likely to him. The voices werent scary, per say, but he could tell this was another tall beast since its voices were clearly higher than his head. Hunt? Ghost hadnt hunted in, well pretty much ever. Hed caught a few unsuspecting lizards and mice, but for the most part he lived off scavenging. He wondered if this beast could see him or not since he couldnt pinpoint the beasts location himself. who are you? his voice was soft and quiet, hesitant. He called him friend, he thought, so was this three voiced thing friendly?

A voice came creeping through the air, and his six wildly different ears twitched, a pair coning towards the wolf. It didn't take long for the huge creature to locate the smaller one-- and when he did, he paused. A creature of white, and of pink. Indeed, a wolf like the Alpha, but similar to himself... To Baratheon... Yet... Normal. Kerberos stood dumbly for a moment, unsure if he should approach or not.

"I am Kerberos," the three headed dog told the white wolf, taking a step sideways, wagging his tail, watching for signs that the fellow dog could see him. "Over here," he barked, "by the river." As an after thought, he added one singular warning, "be careful, the water will eat you." The near-threat over with, the massive pup began to pant and paw at the earth, holding his body in the most playful manner he could imagine, though such attempt probably would be fruitless.

"I'm looking for lizards, but--" He paused, briefly, shame coming through his inflections, "-- I'm bad at hunting." He hoped the wolf would be better than him, like Bones or Arkrael. Pretty much everyone was a better hunter than him, though, for one reason or another. "You wanna help me?"

RE: [Contest] LIZARD LICKERS - Ghost - Nov 12 2015

Three different voices came at him from one smell and the young man got very confused. It took him some time to ponder the voices and how they all came from the same direction and the same one scent. Its like they were in sync or one being, but with three different voices? Did ghost have two other voices he didnt know about or was this ker-ber-os just using different pitches and tones to confuse the blind thing? Ghost couldnt be sure, so he became very wary of the thing despite it asking to help hunt. Lizards, huh? Ghost wasnt the best, but he could smell them out and ram them with his nose if he got lucky enough to catch one. One time he even caught one by the tail without ramming it.

who are you, ker-ber-os? ghost inquired, staying otherwise motionless where he had stopped when he had first picked up on the thing. He didnt introduce himself to the thing yet, mostly because he was concerned what this thing was. Was this a trap? He hadnt encountered any mean gembounds in his cycles, but he was still wary of everything. Why wasnt anyone else as wary as he was? No one explained to him what it meant to be blind or what it was like to see, so he just assumed everyone else was in the same boat he was in. The skinny wolf obviously had a hard time hunting himself, so maybe thatvwas whybker-ber-os wanted some help hunting... Maybe they were both in the same boat after all...

The dog did not move, only asking a single question from the three headed giant. Kerberos bowed his heads, observing how the ghostly white canine did not follow his eyes, just stared on ahead like Giggle sometimes did when she was busy with something else... Except this one wasn't doing anything else.

"I am Kuna tou Aidou, Guardian of Canis, Keeper of the Gate between Life and Death," he spoke calmly, stepping just a bit closer to get a good sniff of the wolf. "You have sparkles on your face," he commented lightly, "and... Can you not see me?" The question struck him as an odd thing to say, but one of his heads had managed to say it, so it hung in the air as a simple, innocent question.

"I have three heads, but I am just Kerberos, do not worry," he decided he should clarify, just in case for some reason the pale wolf was busy seeing other things somehow or seeing nothing at all actually.

RE: [Contest] LIZARD LICKERS - Ghost - Nov 27 2015

The beast introduced himself with the three voices again, causing ghosts ears to twitch and follow the voices accordingly. Kerberos sounded like an interesting being and he felt less afraid of him now. His tail uncurled from his underside, but laid limp at his heels still. He sniffed at the air some more, hoping his attentiom hadnt been too focused on kerberos for someone else to appear. He was told the same thing baratheon had told him about his face. Ghost briefly saw his own face when baratheon showed him images of them swimming, but he hadnt been able to identify what exactly it was. Apparently, they were sparkles.

i wouldnt know, but ive been told. And no, i cant see anything... it was weird admitting it now, knowing that others could see and yet he can not. It didnt seem fair really. What had he done?

The beasy continued, though only one voice spoke. so you are three, but you are one? ghost questioned, though he doubted he made much sense. Kerberos confused him in general, but he was trying. He could only smell one other, but there were three voices. Did this kerberos have three heads?

Kerberos nodded as the wolf confirmed his suspicions. It seemed to make sense that the canine before him was blind-- though many had made the same mistakes about him being more than one person, this one seemed to have an easier time grasping that three voices could be one gembound. It seemed, to him, like something a blind creature could accept more easily, though he could not place why.

The three headed beast lowered to the ground, reaching out his noses towards Ghost. He flopped on to his side, showing off his belly to the blind canine. "Yes," he woofed softly, tail thumping with a slapping sound on the ground. "I am but three," he agreed, "and one." He reached out a large paw to Ghost, gently touching the canine, trying to bring him closer.

"Come, you can feel for yourself. Sniff and feel, and you can see in your own way, right?" He suggested, going as still as he could so the wolf, if he so wanted, could prod around and make sense of just what Kerberos was.

RE: [Contest] LIZARD LICKERS - Ghost - Nov 27 2015

Ghost listened, utterly confused. He didnt understand how kerberos was built, but he chose to not think about it too hard. The beast seemed safe and kind, so regardless of what he looked like, he was okay. When kerberos touched him though, he flinched. He hadnt expected to feel a massive paw and then to be invited over to investogate him. Ghost was hesitant at first, remaining in place until after a few moments, he finally went towards the cerebus.

He started with the paws and sniffed up his forelegs before moving to their chest, neck, and each of the indivodual heads. Finding little to no threat with the cerebus, ghost moved back towards their chest and laid down, curling his body up against him and laying his head down on his forepaws. He was no longer afraid of the beast and actually felt comfortable in his presence.

Kerberos laid quite still and didn't speak, his pale pink eyes closing as he relaxed, letting Ghost all over his body. He had nothing to fear from the blind canine, and it was nice to have someone so close to his proximal core. It took him back to when he was smaller and gembounds were less afraid of him. He exhaled softly as the wolf curled up against him and looked down at Ghost, gently pulling at his magic.

But for once, the heat that usually came so naturally to him failed and instead a grumble rumbled in his stomach and he huffed and gently prodded a nose towards Ghost. "Hungry?" He asked the canine, his snake tail slapping on the hard cavern floor. "Come on." He carefully shifted himself out from along side the wolf and rose to his full height, keeping his heads low to match Ghost's level.

"I know where the lizards are... They're usually by the river-- have you been to the river?" There was a hint of concern in his voice. The river was a dangerous place, and he fully intended to make sure that Ghost didn't accidentally fall in. The crystal waters had almost ended his life as a pup.

RE: [Contest] LIZARD LICKERS - Ghost - Dec 11 2015

He was comfortable for a minute before he was reminded about food and encouraged to follow. Kerberos stood and began to wander when ghost rose and followed close to the front legs of the cerebus. yes, lets. he smiled at the three heads and followed kerberos to this river he started asking him about. Hed never been to the river here nor had he been here in polaris before. He disnt admit that, though.

i havent, no. Lizards like water? hed only found lizards clinging to the walls or under rocks. Water scared him enough as it was, so he was hesitant about finding this river. He trusted kerberos, though, and felt the three headed canine would keep him safe from any dangerous water... Or at least he hoped.
