Carefree Hatch - Zen - Oct 21 2015

There in the corner of the room laid a perfect circle shaped medium dark blue gem sat. You would think that it was a stone but its not. That Lapis Lazuli gem is actually a little gembound, but kind of gembound is unknown until it hatches. As the gembound rest on the ground near a pool of water, the creature inside the gem starts to stir. A loud calm sound rings out as the baby gembound starts to free itself. It kicks and flails inside the blue gem before breaking it open.

Boom. Crack.

The gem breaks open and a brown fluff ball rolls out covered in slime from her gem. The brown fluff ball stood to her feet and she looked around after shaking her damp fur out. She was no bigger than a 5-7 week old kitten. She saw the water and dove into it to clean herself off. Once she felt cleaned, Zen climbed out of the water and looked for food to eat.

Arkrael

You don't know what your power has done to me
I want to know if I'll heal inside
I can't go on with a holocaust about to happen
Seeing you laughing another time

It was a quiet day in Eridanus. An unusual occurrence it seemed, but Arkrael could not say she wasn't enjoying it. Others were probably simply slumbering, or perhaps they had went to travel and explore some of the other caves. Either way, it was only Arkrael's interest to grab a drink before she continued her patrol around Eridanus. It felt like forever since the incident with Wynry and she still had not solved the mystery of his death. Heartache had kept her home in Eridanus. Leaving her with no energy at all to try and travel the caves and find her way back to Moneceros so she could investigate the area. By now, it was probably far to late for that however and it left a dark pit in her gut. She should not have let Vazi's betrayal incapacitate her so much. A sigh escaped the large wolf as she tried to clear her thoughts and find her way closer to the Eyes.

It wasn't until a loud shattering reached her audits did Arkrael bring her gaze up. She lifted her head and looked around for a moment before she instinctively searched for her magic to see if someone had truly been around or if she had just been hearing things. Just barely her gem began to hum, vibrating against her chest and soon the small flickering of another gembound's gem began to vibrate. A small smile curled across her features as she familiarized herself with the new sensation. It felt young and fresh, a vibration that belonged to just that particular gembound.

Arkrael carried on towards the eyes and just as she reached the water a gembound had came hoping out of the water. A child. She could see the shattered chrysalis not far from where she stood and she knew this little one had just awakened. "Hello little one," She hummed gently, taking a few steps closer to the small otter. She was far more bigger than the little child and she hoped that would not intimidate the little one. So, to help in not trying to intimidate the little baby, Arkrael slowly moved to lay against her stomach just a few feet away from the otter. "My name is Arkrael. Do you have a name?" She inquired, hoping to see if this little one was capable of forming words just yet or not.

"Speech"

You'll never know why your face has haunted me
My very soul has to bleed this time
Another hole in the wall of my inner defenses
Leaving me breathless, the reason I know....

RE: Carefree Hatch - Zen - Oct 23 2015

Little Zen had looked around and something or someone was coming into view. The little otter pup stood on her hind legs and sniffed the air. Her ears caught the sound of someone saying hello to her. The little gembound was curious about who it was that was talking to her. Zen's little eyes glowed as she looked around and a wolf came into view. Watching the wolf who said that her name was Arkrael and Arkrael laid on her belly just a few feet away. She asked Zen what her name was. "Meh ish called Zen." she said. The girl was curious so she moved closer sniffing the air.

A smile curled across the wolf's features as the little otter pup spoke her name. "That's an intriguing name you have," she commented as she crossed her forelegs over another and rested her chin upon them. She sniffed at the otter as Zen did the same at her. Her tail wagged idly behind her. "are you hungry? I could help you find something to eat," she offered the little creature as she watched her curiously.

Zen moved closer to the wolf stopping every now and then to stand up on her hind legs. She put her front legs on the ground again and ran over to the wolf. She sniffed Arkrael's fur and climbed on the wolf's back sniffing all around her body. The curious gembound was curious about the wolf. "Yesh meh ish hungry. I just woke up. I has giving myselfs a bath." she said. Zen smiled and climbed off Arkrael. "I usually eats fishes or clams ors something." she said.

Soft laughter came from the alpha as she simply temained still whe Zen moved all over her in her curious venture. "I see. Well I could catch some fish for you if that's alright. I haven't seen clams here, but I also don't go beneath the water either," she mused thoughtfully as she rose to her paws the moment Zen had moved off her back. She shook her fur, sending dirt and debri flying in all directions. It was about time to clean her pelt anyways. With a smile to the otter Arkrael moved over to the water and crouched down to peer into the eyes.

Her body fell still as her ears pushed forwArd. It wasn't long before she spotted a medium sized fish and she shifted a moment as she began to make her move. The moment it was close enough Arkrael suddenly dived in after it, jowls wide open as she made to snap at the fish. When her fangs sunk into the fish, Arkrael instantly began kicking at the water, pushing herself up to yhe surface before pulling herself right out. Water poured from her fur, but she ignored it for now as she moved over to Zen and dropped the flopping fish right in front of here. "There," she grinned before she gin slug shook herself, freeing her fur of the water that went flying in all directions.

Little Zen was curious as she watched Arkrael stand up and shake fur. Dirt flew off of Arkrael and went every causing the little gembound to hide. "You can fish for meh. I still need to learns to fish. Could yous teach me?" she asked. The wolf gembound went over to the Eyes and Zen watched her dive in after Arkrael caught sight of a fish. Zen watched her new friend come up and out of the water with a good size fish. The little brown fluffball smiled as Arkrael came over to her with the fish. It flopped around after her friend placed the fish on the ground. Zen watched it flop around and even tried biting at to get it to stop.

RE: Carefree Hatch - Arkrael - Oct 27 2015

Arkrael grinned as she lowered herself to lay upon her stomach again and watched as Zen tried to take a bite at the flopping fish. It wouldn't flop around for much longer, but she would leave that part for the little gemling. It probably wasn't the wisest to lay upon the moss covered ground after being in the water, but she wasn't one to care in that moment. "Fishing can be a little tricky sometimes, but once you get the hang of it, it's a very simple thing to do," She commented as she rested her head down upon her crossed legs again, ears twitching and turning as they listened to the sounds around them.

RE: Carefree Hatch - Zen - Oct 27 2015

Zen listened to Ark as she watched the flopping fish and she looked at the big gembound. "I hope I can fish as goods as you. I dont thinks I can catch ones this bigs." she said. The little gembound saw the fish had slowly started to stop flopping about. It was enough for the little girl to bit down on the flesh while holding it down with both of her tiny paws. She bit into it and pulled at the flesh and scales as hard as she could pull. Zen was smaller than the fish and her pup teeth were still pup teeth but they were sharp enough to tear at the scales and flesh. Zen's tail thudded up and down the clink of her tail made a soft clink noise.

Arkrael smiled as she sat just in front of the otter. "One day you'll probably be able to catch even bigger fish," It was probably true. This creature seemed to be made for both land and water. Her tail swayed slowly, happy that the little gembound was enjoying here first meal and that Arkrael had been able to catch it for here. If only Tamelyn were here. She would enjoy seeing the little otter as well. A soft, quiet sigh escape the wolf before she shook her thoughts and continued to focus on the little gembound.
