New Beginnings - Louie - Nov 04 2015
Each night was spent with the poor boy, rather man now, drenched in sweat due to the horrific scenes and images portrayed and projected into his head by his stone and subconscious. A punishment of his foolishness at the mistakes he had made from the beginning. Roused from one such sleep by the thrashing having disturbed one of his rock piles, he sat up straight and again found himself whimpering like a child at the sight of the rocks all callously tossed aside. It made him want to be sick, but he had nothing to retch so he didn't. Nearly every inch of the Spire was carved into his brain at this point. He'd lost track of how many cycles he'd spent here. Whenever Raheerah left it was. How long ago was that now? Honestly Louie couldn't remember as the memories had faded along with everything else. Since that weird visit by Nemean, he had found he could spring up pumpkins. Didn't exactly help him since he wasn't a herbivore, but it was nice to have a garden of sorts that he could also add to his repertoire of ticks and obsessive activities. Again he wasn't entirely sure what time it was, but he found himself rubbing a paw along one of his precious pumpkin children before moving on past the river. It called to him, as it always did, but he had gotten good at tuning out those constant jeers, taunts and summonings. At the far corner, the rocks had become disturbed by the shaking of the earthquake, exposing further the thickly clustered danburite. Stones such as that weren't uncommon in Polaris, it appeared to be the central birthing place for many gembounds. This particular one, had been there for an exceptionally long time. Of course before it was hardly visible, but nothing got past the one-eyed fox and as he stepped closer to where it was. His breathing slowed, if it were to burst open he wouldn't be prepared for it, but his own gemstone showed no reaction to being near. Perhaps the magic from the Spire was enough to drown out the small life that lay inside as that seemed a plausible explanation to what was going on. Hesitantly, he reached out a paw and pushed away the remaining rocks exposing this white translucent crystal. In doing so, it rolled forwards and his brow drew into a deep and heavy scowl. It wasn't implanted, which meant it wasn't yet harbouring a small life and he leaned forwards to try and pick up the stone gently within his teeth. Crushing it so it couldn't even begin to germinate was an option... But perhaps he'd study it for a while. Not used to such a big difference, he felt himself begin to panic. Routine was disturbed! Routine was disturbed! But his conscious did begin to stir, the colourless eyes had that same mischievous glint return to them. It was fleeting but it was there. Perhaps Louie was coming home. RE: New Beginnings - Game Master Madison - Nov 04 2015 The smoky white crystal truly had been abandoned for a long time. Since its initial deposit in the pit of the massive dragon, it had come into possession of another Gembound, only to be discarded here in Polaris. Now that it was again unearthed by the ground-shattering battle with the dragon, it's discovery by Louie leads it to emit a small surge of a magical aura. The stone seems to reach out for Louie's attention, as though eager to finally find life again. |
