Time and again. - Atticus - Nov 08 2015
@Azazel RE: Time and again. - Liora - Nov 11 2015 (i bugged ban to see if i could post here, so here i am!! hope you dont mind 8) ) Day by day the lammergeier raven was getting bigger, and while she wasn't any more graceful, she was at least a little more functional. Spreading her slowly growing wings, Liora had taken to doing her round about the ceiling of Canis, staring down at those that were going about their daily lives. The Karkata kids had recently moved in and the bird was spending a good portion of her time spying on them when she could, curious and eager to know more about them but never deigning to actually speak to them. They were outsiders, and as far as she was concerned, they were mostly filth. Not that she'd actually voice this opinion to anybody. Knowing them they'd scoff and look down at her. From whom did she inherit such a self righteous attitude? Surely not Aza'zel. She circled around the bone room like a murky vulture, wheeling to the side with her predatory eye on the bones, looking for anything of interest. Sometimes she would spy an oddly shaped bone sticking out of the piles and be intrigued, pulled towards the bone with curiosity that could only be sated upon plucking it and tossing it about. Other times she would see members of the Bonebound, and every now and then, she would see some creature completely knew to her. He was but a speck from above, but Liora had zeroed in on him and thusly made him her target. Dipping down to the side, Liora skimmed along the bone piles. She briefly spotted him as he entered the chambers, and she couldn't spy very well from above since the walls of the chambers largely blocked her vision. So, Liora came down with a loud, shuffly landing, tucking her wings into her side. Her long, elegant legs traipsed rather awkwardly towards the little robin and she cocked her head down at him, large white eyes pinned on his diminutive form. "What's this? Delivery? KRAKAWRAWAWARAK!" She chortled, ruffling her feathers. @Atticus RE: Time and again. - Azazel (Original) - Nov 14 2015 Upon hearing some scuttling, he got excited and snapped wide awake, crashing onto the floor with a great FWUMP! and gazing at the dull green gem for a moment, before realizing that it was a false alarm. He found it best to investigate. Hopefully it wouldn't be another one of those nasty cave rats. Waddling away from the chrysalis momentarily, he scampered through the Chambers, staying in the light and kicking a bone out every ten or so feet to make sure he could make his way back. Plus, he'd begun accumulating a pile of bones near the end of the Chambers for both himself and his kids if they came by. Suddenly, two quite small birds stood before him. Carmine eyes blinked as he took a moment to register the presence of a bird, and he tilted his head curiously. @Atticus RE: Time and again. - Atticus - Nov 15 2015
@Azazel @Liora RE: Time and again. - Zephyr Bloodking - Nov 15 2015 The young pup, though he did not always act as such came upon the small gathering of the birds and stuck to the shadows wondering what they were doing. He had been aching to return to his den as it was warm and it was the first place he had found since awakening from what he called slumber. He didn't know these avians and sensed a great aura of power from the one called Atticus so he chose to observe the scene before him and hoped they would not sense the young wolf. RE: Time and again. - Liora - Nov 15 2015 The inky lammeraven hobbled from one foot to the other, hopping back and forth with excitement while she tucked her wings against her sides and thrust her head towards the robin, eying him up and down. Her beak clipped curiously as she danced around him. Already she could feel her stomach beginning to lurch with hunger and she wondered how exactly this little bird would taste. Would he taste like the bones that she usually cracked apart? Or would he be warm and juicy like the bits of lesser Gembounds she had managed to catch? Did normal Gembounds taste like lesser Gembounds? Hell, did she even know that he was a normal Gembound? Sure enough he spoke, proving that he was indeed like her. That was no issue to her, though. She'd easily pick him up in her beak and crunch, crunch, crunch his little bones! He dared to finally answer her, his little voice positively minuscule against the stagnant air. Liora paused her dancing, reeling her head back again. A single white eye fixated on the robin, tilting her head - and then she burst out in a crowish laugh, tossing her head back. "Passing through? More like passing through Liora's digestive system! KRAKAWWW!!" Liora declared with a proud, jaunty laugh, ruffling her wings. She hopped closer to him again, cracking her beak open wide before she'd just barely heard another sound - the sound of long claws tapping against the rock - wicked from her jest, the bird swung her head aside in time to see her father approach. Startled by his sudden appearance, Liora squawked and leaped away, flapping her wings a few times to place some distance between herself and Aza'zel - in turn, distancing herself from her future meal. Darn! By the time she had landed and gained her composure, he'd approached the robin and spoke gently to it, as if he wasn't going to claim the little meal for himself. "Father! I found it! Let me eat it!" Liora cawed indignantly, fanning her wings as she waddled after him, completely oblivious to the presence of a fourth - a greater predator than even she. @Azazel RE: Time and again. - Zephyr Bloodking - Nov 15 2015 The young wolf looked at the odd looking buzzard feeling uneasy as she moved to and fro begging and pleading, with what he could only assume was a parent, to be able to devour the still breathing bird that was in front of them. It was not his job to defend the awakened, his duty and his life belonged to those still slumbering in the crystals of Polaris, yet there was something that drew him, something that had him running towards the small bird and placing his body between predator and prey. By then he had become aware of his size and realized that he would love this battle, but that didn't detract from his desire to be a Guardian to those who he thought needed it. "Over my dead body," he spat at the opposing bird. |
