Moving to the Pagan Sound - Macawi - Nov 09 2015 Macawi wandered the Caves, as always, and once again found herself in a place she had never been before. She wondered how long it would take for her to find all the places. As she trotted happily into Pisces for the first time, the noise from the waterfall blocked out the words she sang, but she sang them anyways. “Bonfires dot the rolling hillsides, figures dance around and around. To drums that pulse out echoes of darkness, moving to the Pagan sound.” The coyote began to look around, still singing. Eventually her singing turned to happy humming instead, as she pranced right up to the waterfall and craned her neck to see all of it. Beautiful… Despite the overwhelming nothing-scent of water, it was obvious that many Gembounds lived here, for their scents lingered together here. She wondered if she would come across any of them, and if they would be angry at her for ‘trespassing.’ The land belonged to no one, so how could anyone ever trespass? She laughed, as if she had just made a joke, and continued staring up at the waterfall. She glanced around at the rest of the huge room, the pond, the mosses, the back walls. It was very damp in here… "Speech" Words: 208 ((Here’s the song she was singing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKfbVAO6VGA )) @Quintus RE: Moving to the Pagan Sound - Quintus - Nov 11 2015
RE: Moving to the Pagan Sound - Macawi - Nov 27 2015 Macawi was an odd sort, who was either very, very alert, or very, very not alert. It really depended on the day, and how much her insane mind was wandering at a given time. Today, she was far too focused on the waterfall and the background to notice the stronger scent of lion that was suddenly in the air. Her tail wagged happily as she continued to look around, tan eyes scanning the slippery rocks in the back of the cave, then wandering back to the lagoon she was seated in front of. There didn’t seem to be anyone around, so she sort of shrugged to herself and sunk to her paws, intending to perhaps meditate here, where the pounding of the waterfall would lull her into the right mindset. Little did she know there was a lion – one much bigger than her – hiding nearby, watching her. Not that she would have cared even if she’d known. Nothing really bothered her, after all. She didn’t have the right kind of mind to be bothered by things watching her. Especially not after that accidental dip into one The Eyes. Now she was seeing shadows of creatures out of the corners of her eyes all the time. She tried to greet them, but all they ever did was try to lead her away into another part of the Cave… She’d have to see what that was about at some point… "Speech" Words: 238 @Quintus RE: Moving to the Pagan Sound - Quintus - Dec 01 2015
RE: Moving to the Pagan Sound - Macawi - Dec 07 2015 Suddenly someone asked her who she was, and some part of her insane mind was mildly offended. Who didn’t know who she was? Was there anyone left in this place that she hadn’t met? Apparently so, as this lion – who was much bigger than her – was asking her who she was. Ha! She’d show him! She turned her head away, accessing her Magic, and feeling it slow from her cheek to her eyes, until she could tell that they were glowing red. Then she turned suddenly and opened her eyes nice and wide, grinned crazily, and said, “Macawi is Macawi, doesn’t This One know?! She should be asking who you are!” After this, she’d probably calm down and stop insisting on trying to scare the poor boy, but what did you expect with Macawi? She was crazy, after all! And she had to often remind people of this fact if they got too comfortable with her. Not that Quintus knew who she was, but that was beside the point! The point was: She was insane, and this lion needed to get that through his brain! Which meant that this little Coyote needed to act a bit off the deep end for a bit. Hence the crazy eyes and the yelling. However, the lion didn't seem to respond, or if he did, Macawi was just... not paying attention. Which, knowing her, that was entirely possible. She was incredibly impatient, after all. Without warning, she gave the other Gembound a friendly grin, feeling her Magic fade, said her goodbyes, and took off out of Pisces without a backwards glance. She had callings sometimes -- thing that told her she needed to be somewhere else all of a sudden... She didn't know why she got them, but they were there, like an itch she couldn't scratch until she followed them wherever they insisted on taking her. This is why she was a nomad.
