Watcher of the Garden - Blackfeather - Nov 19 2015 Behind the gray feline's closed eyes she focused on the All Mother and Saw the plant as she was meant to. Their lives were glowing and bright, a positive sign despite the circumstances. Perhaps something would come and happen today that would prove to be positive for Her Garden. Maybe she should find Dovefeather and tell her the sign. Yes. But after. The gray cat still focused her energy on spying all of the plants around her, examining them for signs of any weak links. Ones that the Mother would want her to help but she could see nothing today. Good. Very very, good. The feline opened her eyes and sat up. A content sigh came from her throat as she lifted a paw and licked it so that she could gently rub her ear with the black feather sitting behind it. Good omens always made her happy, happier than usual anyway for any day that she could serve the All Mother was a good one. Now, she could tend to the trinkets she'd offered the All Mother. The gray cat began to move around, rearranging things around the Mother's base to make it more tidy and appealing. 354 @Arkrael --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... RE: Watcher of the Garden - Arkrael - Nov 20 2015 ![]() When I turn and walk away I'm not holding onto this I'm not wasting words on you I sleep alone in spite of it I'll do anything for you Paws roamed, moving slowly through the fern bushes as the great she-wolf traveled through Eridanus. It had been a few days, if maybe not longer, since Vazi's attack. Her shoulder was still tender, easily hurt if touched or leaned against the wrong way. Even stepping a certain way seemed to cause pain in her. Yet, Cayenne's gentle tending had served it's purpose. She knew had the little lemur not come along she would still be bleeding and desperately trying to keeep the thing clean all on her own just to fight off an infection that would have surely shown up had she not. Now, after having hunted that morning to feed the little cub in her den, Arkrael felt it would serve her good to patrol Eridanus. She needed to make sure all was still well within the overgrown cavern. She needed to make sure a certain stag had not so foolishly stepped back into her lands again. She hoped and prayed she would not come across any scent trail that belonged to the stag as she was truly not ready for another face to face meeting with him. Her heart had grown heavier, but the cold bitterness of her anger had done well in surpressing those currently uneeded emotions. Even then she could feel the ever twising of her chest, the dullness it left in a void she could no longer comprehend. She was growing tired, but she knew it was not even close to being over. With a shake of her head, Arkrael cleared her thoughts and focused on the land around her. Heterochromia eyes searched and gazed from one side to the next, studying all she could as she sniffed the air for any straying scents left behind by anything or anyone. Just a few feet away she could smell a small herd of cave deer, could hear them as the noisily moved about, but it didn't keep her attention for long. Soon enough her gem hummed to life, vibrating gently in Arkrael's ears and it wasn't long before she began feeling the sensations of other sentient creature's gem's reacting, sending their own unique vibration out for her to hear, to feel in her own gem. Curiosity rose when one felt as if they were close. Her gaze turned to the side, traveling over the Monarch's stem with a thoughtful look before she turned direction and headed towards it. She had felt this particular vibration before, not in person, or up close, but the many times she had scouted Eridanus she had small flashes of it's frequency. Perhaps today she would go and see who it was and introduce herself to them while she was at it. It wasn't long before her long legs carried her to the base of the Monarch and she turned her optics down to the gray feline that was moving about, organizing trinkets and other things into a neat position. She put a small smile on heer features and slowly lowered herself onto her haunches, hoping she would not startle the creature with having snuck up on her; if that was even the case. "Hello," She called, attempting to grasp the cat's attention before she continued. "I do not think we have met before. My calling is Arkrael. Have you been here long?" It was a simple question, one that she hoped was nor prying too much into something this cat may perhaps not want to discuss. RE: Watcher of the Garden - Blackfeather - Nov 20 2015 It was only after the creature spoke that Blackfeather stopped rearranging her things and turned to face the wolf. Her mouth curved upwards into a kind smile while her green, blind-looking eyes peered up with infinite calmness at the wolf. Blackfeather always seemed to have an air of peace and certainty about her. "Greetings, Sister." Here she dipped her head politely to the wolf before returning her green gave to her own heterochromic eyes. "No, we have not but I have smelled your scent before." Out on her patrols to heal and send plants to the Void she had certainly scented this particular wolf. "I am called Blackfeather and I tend to the Mother's Garden. I've been here for my whole life, doing Her will." The feline sat on her haunches in front of Arkrael, tail wrapped around her paws. "And you, Sister Arkrael, have you been here your whole life like I?" 229 @Arkrael --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... We'll light up the sky,

RE: Watcher of the Garden - Arkrael - Nov 22 2015 The felines name only intrigued Arkrael in the simple fact that the cats fur held no marks of black at all. Nothing except for the black feather tucked behind her ear. A smile curled across the she-wolf's features as she continued to listen. Rae wasn't exactly sure who the 'mother' was, but she figured they must be proud to have such devoted children. "I was born here, yes. Over by the trench in fact. Though I have traveled the caves I do spend most of my time here. It is mine to protect," her smile seemed to grow as she cast her gaze about the area. This was truly her home. Shaking her thoughts she turned her gaze back towards BlackFeather. "So, who's your mother?" she asked curiously. words: 128 Ooc. That is such a terrible post omg I'm sorry @blackfeather RE: Watcher of the Garden - Blackfeather - Nov 22 2015 At the wolf's question the she-cat smiled and with one paw pointed to the giant mushroom behind her. "This is the All Mother, Sister Arkrael. I was born here right beneath her base. Before I was released from my chrysalis she spoke to me and told me of my duty here in Eridanus. She did the same with my other Sisters: Dovefeather and Owlfeather." Those green eyes gazed up at the wolf with calm certainty. "She is a very powerful and benevolent being." 190 @Arkrael --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... We'll light up the sky,

RE: Watcher of the Garden - Arkrael - Nov 22 2015 If Arkrael was a bit stunned by Black's answer, not a single soul would know except for her own. Her features remained pleasant, her tail ever so slightly swishing back and forth behind her. Her gaze rose from the feline and up towards the monarch that loomed high above them. Finally she turned her gaze back toward black and smiled again. "you could say that I am the Guardian, yes," she answered the little cat. As for if she was the one that Black was looking for she wasn't very positive on that one. "Honestly, I had no idea that this was the All Mother until now," she spoke, her voice pitching into one full of curiosity. This feline was certainly a curious little thing for Arkrael and she would not be opposed to learning more about Black and the mushroom she saw as the all mother. "what's she like?" @blackfeather Words: 150 RE: Watcher of the Garden - Blackfeather - Nov 22 2015 "Oh yes, many do not know that our creator resides right here." It was a curious thing really. They were so near to their Mother and yet no one every stopped to acknowledge her or thank her for their existence. It was no wonder the Mother had closed her Eyes. "She is a great Mother. She wants her children all to Live, Grow, Emerge, and Learn as her non-speaking children do. She's here to listen and hear our prayers to her and grant relief from our pain." To indicate the "non-speaking children" the feline gestured with her tail to the plants around them. "Peace and devotion. That is what she asks of us... Truly though, I wonder if our All Mother is angry with us. I have been informed by my Sister that Mother's Eyes have closed and it makes me fear that she's wanting us to See or do something but I do not know what..." Here her words trailed off as she seemed to be thinking to herself, lost in her own imaginings. 233 @Arkrael --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... We'll light up the sky,

RE: Watcher of the Garden - Arkrael - Nov 22 2015 Arkrael listened with great attention as Black spoke of the All Mother. It was all very interesting indeed to hear of her views for the giant mushroom. "She sounds like a wonderful mother to me." Rae hummed thoughtfully as she slowly eased herself further to Blacks level and rested against her stomach. The moss felt good against her belly and it was all she could do to not roll over and scratch her back against it.cmaybe later she would, but for now she remained focused on Black. "So, what do you mean her eyes have closed? Perhaps she wishes you to search for something... But your eyes aren't what can find them?" She had no idea what she was trying to say. It was all just really confusing, but maybe it would help clarify some things for her. @blackfeather I swear all my posts won't be shit posts. words: 139 RE: Watcher of the Garden - Blackfeather - Dec 04 2015 Finally after a few moments her paws stilled as she stopped fidgeting with the items. Her gaze, calm again and brow now unfurrowed turned back to Arkrael. "Two pools over that way which serve as Mother's Eyes have become cloudy. They normally are clear so that they can look and See us all but now they do not." The she-cat explained in her calm way. "I do not know what to search for. I have always been the Watcher of the Garden. I tend to the plants. Dovefeather, she is who Sees the signs and tends to Her Eyes. I believe that maybe the Mother wants something of Dovefeather or wants her to prove something." She remembered her sister's words about how she loved another. Perhaps this was what was wrong. They were all being tested. Almost as a murmur to herself she said, "I do hope She is not angry with us." For Dovefeather's love or even something she was not doing. The gray cat shook her head. She just wished this testing could be over and that they could pass. 258 @Arkrael --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... We'll light up the sky,
