@Tennessee RE: curious - Tennessee - Dec 02 2015 ![]() Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, Where the deer and the antelope play Today Tennessee was lounging around Polaris, keeping an eye on his and his partner's rows of plants and the fenced in Tunnel Runners. He stood up on the fence, looking in at the deer as they meandered about chewing plants and grooming each other. A few stood apart at the edges, refusing to socialize with the others as it appeared their mating season was over. Buckthorn stood apart watching his fawns and keeping a good distance from his harem. There was probably nothing he could do to make them like each other more but at least they weren't fighting. It also appeared that they were relatively calm... A good day to ride, perhaps. At Tennessee's side was his rat, she looked into the pen as well... For a few seconds before turning to nibble loudly at a tick on her side. The lemur gave his rat a pat before pulling out a specific lasso, one that he used as a halter and control method for Buckthorn. "Wish me luck, Daisy-girl." The rat barely batted an eye. Hardly anything new happened nowadays. The deer were starting to get used to the near constant presence of the lemur and Buckthorn himself while he didn't particularly like being ridden he was at least used to Tennessee and tolerated the foreign weight on his back. Of course, getting close to the deer to get on him was another story... The harm scattered to the other side of the pen once he entered while Buckthorn stared Tennessee down challengingly. "Aww, come on, bucko. We do this almost ev'ry day. Can't ya just let me on without a fuss this time?" The stag twitched an ear and blinked as the lemur neared. However, whether it was a good day or Buckthorn just didn't feel like fighting he allowed Tennessee to touch him and slide with lasso reigns onto his head without... much of a fuss. The lemur climbed onto his back and rode the deer out of the pen for their daily rounds. Perhaps it would be a good day today! The cowboy smiled as he held both reigns in his paws and after whistling to Daisy they were off... Only, they didn't get far as they saw a strange brown shape among the garden. A brown shape which seemed very familiar. Tennessee rode his deer over and after a fair amount of squinting called out, "Lux?" Was it perchance the first girl he had ever met? @Tennessee RE: curious - Tennessee - Dec 02 2015 ![]() Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, Where the deer and the antelope play Well, it seemed as if the hyena remembered him by her expression. Her mouth curved up into a grin as she absorbed the image before her and at her laugh the lemur couldn't help but release one of his own at her mirth. The lemur slapped his leg and let out a whoop of laughter, head going back with his mirth. The rat beside the deer would have rolled her eyes if she could have but as it was she just simply seemed to let out an annoyed huff at the noise and began to chew at her fur. When the laughter finally died down he smiled at her. "Well, I reckon I am nowadays! This place jus' sorta 'appened along with 'ere deer." He pet Buckthorn on the head which the deer bore it rather well, considering. Then, when she indicated the garden and the ranch around them the lemur couldn't help but poke out his chest proudly. "Yessiree! Well... Sorta... actually..." He gave a laugh and began to explain, "My bestest most prettiest friend Cayenne did most of it! Y'see, she's real good with plant magick an' she grew all 'a this pretty vegetation an' the fencin' fer the deer. I helped lug in all th'dirt an' wanted t'make the ranch. I also rounded up these here deer into the fence, with her help 'a course. Wish she was here, right now. I'd love fer ya t'meet 'er." Even thinking about Cayenne he could feel his heart start to flutter with those strange feelings that made him blush under his thick fur. "Would ya like a lil' tour?" He absolutely loved to show the ranch to others. It was the only one in the entire caves so he was rightly proud of it. RE: curious - Lux - Dec 02 2015
@Tennessee RE: curious - Tennessee - Dec 03 2015 ![]() Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, Where the deer and the antelope play Tennessee was completely unaware of the feelings within Lux. He was too distracted by his own fluttery feelings in his gut and the movement of the deer beneath him. When the hyena agreed to the tour he gave a smile that was nearly from ear-to-ear. "Boy howdy! I'm sure glad you wanna go on the Polaris Ranch tour! Please follow along with me'n'Buckthorn an' we'll get ya introduced t'everythin'!" This was sure to be great fun and hopefully not lead to disaster. He gentle nudged at the deer's sides with his hind paws which got the creature moving forward with Lux hopefully on one of his sides. Either way the lemur began to speak animatedly about the ranch and his special sweetheart. "Eeyup! It sure is! Well, we're tryin' t'get some other gembounds in'erested but so far it's only us two an' a couple who drop in ev'ry now an' again. Like Hen, she's a... well, hen, that lives o'er that way. She comes by to help carry an' fetch an' the like. We also got a big ole lion that lives o'er in Pisces that helps out. 'E's a great big fellow, lotsa help with carryin' the dirt in." While he had been talking he had taken the group over to their first stop, the lush garden full of flowering plants and bushes. "Which leads me t'my first stop. This here area was made by Cayenne after me'n'the others fetched dirt from Eridanus. That was a lotta work but it was all worth it as ya can see with this." He waved his paw around as he spoke to indicate the various plants and bushes, the flowers had the area smelling quite delicious especially with the calming aroma of the Dormire Flowers.
