iridescent ! - Arrh - Dec 11 2015 The whale found himself roaming once again. With the little blue at his side, (well, atop his head and clinging on, but it was the same thing, right?) he drifted back to Polaris. They had done a little bit of fun treasure hunting before, and he'd planned to do so again. He invited to come along, but the poor dolphin seemed much too in a gloom. He'd ignored him! Arrh felt like he knew how that felt, because when Eeya and Moana had disappeared, he was really sad, too!
Arrh breached every once in a while, giving Kreool a chance to get a nice big breath, then diving down once again. One time he breached, and he saw something really interesting. It was really big and white. It looked very fuzzy, but that may have been the whale's blurry vision. Maybe it was a playmate! He chirped to the little blue, @Cerulean @Baratheon RE: iridescent ! - Cerulean - Dec 11 2015
Kreool drifted in and out of sleep on her friend's back, waking fully at moments as the Orca surfaced for air, gasping for breath, and under the water, filtering that breath through her gills to mantain it longer. She'd grown used to the whale's movements, and they comforted her now. The pair were all but attached to eachother lately, mostly because Kreool relied on the larger carnivore to feed her- hunting scared her. She felt different, lost memories, time moved so quickly... it wasn't comfortable. She didn't like forgetting.
She stirred as Arrh made for the shoreline, suddenly singing at her. She unraveled her length from the whale's dorsal fin and shimmied up to his head, paws across his snout, head above water as they headed for shore. "Arrroooooo!" She called out, a garbled attempt at the land language, more howl than word. She perched half-in, half-out of the water and waved a single front limb at the stranger, tail fin curling behind her in a splashing motion, making more noise to beckon the other's attention. Briefly, she paused and looked over her shoulder at Arrh, to double check that her friend hadn't beached himself, and that she was behaving properly. @Arrh @Baratheon RE: iridescent ! - Baratheon - Dec 11 2015 He lay in the shadow of the spire, eyes closed as he slept fitfully but not necessarily peacefully. His dreams were strangely troubled again, making him dream of the strange red fog and hurting others again. He grunted in his sleep and twitched but he did not wake. In his mind's eye he could see Macawi beyond the fog, the coyote was saying something but he didn't know what. The words were jumbled and in his strange state of mind he did not care about them. He only wanted... to hurt... to kill. He was upon her now and his jaws opened but as his opened so did hers and from it came a strange series of whistles and clicks. It was so strange that it gave him pause... And a reason to wake up. The dragon's eye opened wide and he lifted his head sharply to look around. Fortunately, everything was peaceful around him but he did hear the strange whistling and clicking. It reminded him of the dolphin that lived in Pisces... though he had never spoken to said dolphin he remembered the sounds it made. It wasn't long before he saw something on the shore, it was small and blue. The dragon had never seen anything like it before and so with curiosity shining in his eye he rose to his paws and walked right up to it. He knew he should be working on his words but nothing came to him so he simply lowered his head and gave it a friendly sniff as it to say hello. It smelled of fish and the ocean and other unknown things. The dragon loved to swim but usually he did all of it in Pisces... perhaps he would get to do more today... His gaze slid past the blue one to the other in the water. To it he gave a friendly hoarse bark, his own way of giving a greeting. He wondered if they would understand him and want to be friends... They looked friendly enough for it! 341
@Cerulean @Arrh Set before he gets his memory back! 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... RE: iridescent ! - Arrh - Dec 13 2015 As he neared land and rose to the surface, he felt the little blue unravel herself from about his six-foot-tall dorsal fin and crawl down to his head. His dark eyes fixed on her for a moment as she placed her paws upon his snout and chirped in a soothing voice of tiredness.
As he felt small paws press into his thin fur, he knew that Kreool was about to leap from his crown and onto land. He didn't know how the little dove managed to stand being out of the water for so long. After she jumped and swam the rest of the way, Arrh swam closer to the shore, laying in the shallower waters. He didn't beach himself this time, which was good. Hearing a little wet THUMP! as the Leviathan plopped a foot onto land, he chirped. A small singsong sound came from the little blue, and he wondered if she was trying to speak in land tongue. It was so tricky! But he tried... ...and it came out kind of awkwardly, but it did what it needed to. What was that, you may ask? A greeting, of course! He squealed out loudly, @Cerulean RE: iridescent ! - Cerulean - Dec 24 2015
Arrh's reassurances weren't very reassuring. Kreool couldn't help but worry. Her friend was so much bigger! She couldn't imagine how hard it must be to get back into the water with no front legs and so much weight. Arrh needed the water. Kreool was beginning to learn they did not. The land was just as available, if a bit clumsy and slow going. She'd never know that trouble. Of course, being unable to understand the logic behind a creature of the water breaching for fun, she'd continue to worry even as Arrh easily slid up behind her on the shoreline.
The white fur thing was friendly. It slipped forward easily and sniffed in greeting. Kreool mimicked the behavior, and noted the land offered very little by way of smell. This new friend just stank like fur and musk. Disappointing. They probably smell like more underwater. Our nose won't work here. The thought was like a chiding voice, and Kreool accepted it fluidly. She shifted backwards into the water again, letting her body float with the drifting current. She kept her front half on land. "Does it like to play?" Kreool soothed, and with a flick of her tail, she pawed her way over to Arrh's back and climbed on, slapping her friend gently with her tail fin. @Baratheon @Arrh RE: iridescent ! - Baratheon - Dec 28 2015 Boy were these things singsongy! It was different but he liked it a lot! The dragon grinned, showing all of his needle-like teeth while he stared down at the blue creature and its larger friend. His tail swayed side to side as he listened to their whistles until finally he decided to try his hand it at as well. He formed his lips into an "O" and began to whistle almost perfectly. {"Haaaaiiiiiiiiii!"} Somehow he spoke a word but he had no idea what he said. After all, he barely had a grasp on the land critter language. When he was asked to play the dragon let another squeal. {"Yaaaaaaaa!"} Though with his nod it was obvious that he didn't know he'd given a verbal cue as well. Then without further ado the dragon took a deep breathe, tucked his wings at his side, and then dove into the water. He could hold his breath for a decent amount of time which he now showed as he swam in the water similar to the way a lizard might do. --
@Cerulean @Arrh Set before he gets his memory back! 4/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... RE: iridescent ! - Arrh - Dec 31 2015 Arrh watched the great big white thing sniff in greeting, and he whistled through his blowhole in response. Feeling the little blue clamber onto his back once again, he slapped his tail fin in the water.
@Baratheon @Cerulean RE: iridescent ! - Baratheon - Jan 02 2016 The large white dragon gave a squeal of laughter as the thing whistled at him. He didn't know what was said but he knew it had to be good. It started chasing him, whistling joyfully with a laugh. Pretty much that was the universal sign for chase so Baratheon took off, water streaming behind him as he zoomed through the water hoping to get away. With his own wide grin you could tell he was enjoying himself. @Arrh RE: iridescent ! - Arrh - Jan 02 2016 ( Alm told me it was alright if I pp'd Cerul ) The orca clicked with joy as Cerulean did the same, grasping onto his melon as hard as she could without harming her large friend. Squealing as he chased the dragon, he was unaware of a glow coming from his gemstone. It was up to chance if a sliver randomly came off or not, but he continued to chase after the white dragon, unknowing if his stone had just come off a little. @Baratheon RE: iridescent ! - Baratheon - Jan 02 2016 The dragon continued to snake away in the water. He swam and swam and swam while the orca swam behind him. He would have continued to swim away but he had an epiphany! Why didn't he do a little surprise? With a small giggle the dragon suddenly doubled back and swam over the orca's head. Then he slapped his tail at the orca in an attempt to tag him while he went the other way. |
