Under the Mistletoe - Farrah - Dec 18 2015

Farrah had been gone for some time. She had been scared and in the dark. She was gutless. In the dark, she had hidden. The cave rats had nibbled on her toes, the turkeys had passed by and slowly, so slowly, she became less scared. She came out, her feet touching the soft grass- and suddenly it began to snow. Tiny, delicate flecks of white drifted from above. Maroon eyes followed the snow downwards until it landed on the tip of her nose. Eyes crossed, Farrah watched it melt, then licked her nose. Water? How strange...

After a while, the snow built up. It stayed even after Farrah slept. The whole world became cold and sparkled white. The chill in the air made Farrah want to do nothing more than to warm up inside. Where was the green? Something needed to stand out. In the white, there was a leafless shrub, but in that shrub, there was a leafy plant. The stout shiba plucked a pew branches, securing them together loosely. The ice coated leaves sparkled as they twisted. She needed to spread this beauty! Farrah carefully balanced herself on a tree trunk and hung the mistletoe... not that she knew that's what it was. She did know, however, that she needed more! She found a spiky plant with red berried and grabbed some of that. Tossing that about she added that around the tree and a sprig behind her left ear for good measure. The whole thing was pretty, but it needed more warmth.

Farrah looked over at the flat, snowy area. The mistletoe hung in the back with holly surrounding the trunk of each tree, forming a circle around the area. The small doge beamed with pride. It looked great, but it still needed warmth. It had been a long time. She wasn't even sure if she could do it anymore. Farrah tried anyway, summoning her magic. Light flicked through her gem, then lit up the red tips of her ears. Her cheeks glowed pink, then a deep red. She opened her maw, and with a howl, light spilled out of her maw, splitting into orbs of varying sizes. The orbs hung below the tree branches, creating a warm canopy. Lights dotted the trees and lit up the holly on Farrah's ear. A final light shone down on the mistletoe, highlighting any who stood below. Farrah made her way to this spot, leaving room for another gembound to join her in the light, and she sent out a call. Farrah is back and is in the mood to be merry.

Feel free to bring drinks and gifts yall.

RE: Under the Mistletoe - Zevruu - Dec 20 2015

Zevruu was wandering through the caves, not entirely sure where he was going. After some time of walking, he stumbled upon Eridanus. It was completely covered in a while and cold material. He shivered at how cold it was. He continued to walk, noticing how his steps made prints in the snow. He continued walking, only really being able to see the white that surrounded him. He decided to paw at the stuff. It was soft and powdery. He continued to paw at it, making small clumps of the stuff. It was only then that he realized there was more falling. The white flakes were falling around him, fluttering down to the ground. He batted at one that was nearby. Wondering what it tasted like, he opened his mouth, and waited for one to land on his tongue. It didn't take long. A couple flakes landed, and he realized it tasted like water. But how could water fall from the sky in little white flakes and cling to the ground?

Zevruu continued walking. He was just about to stop and rest when he heard something. Walking a bit more, he was suddenly met with a flash of light. He looked around, and realized there were orbs of light surrounding a tree. And nearby, there was another gembound. Cautiously, the serval began to walk closer, inspecting the tree and the decorations that were placed around it. His eyes wandered back to the gembound. There was some leaves that hung above the gembound. It had some light that shone down on it, highlighting the space below it. He walked up to it and the gembound, a curious, yet wary, look in his eyes.
