meet the brother - Jack - Jan 06 2016
It was unfortunate, as although they had a super awesome base of awesomeness, Cadence still had to return home every night to be with her family. Without one, he spent his nights within the base making sure no unwanted occupants decided to move in. It was lonely, but he hoped that they would grow in size and become the best super secret organization ever. Everyone in Origin would know their name and all the kids would want to join in their games and they could grow up and become true heroes. Outside back in Pisces, he began to head towards the area that his hybrid friend had said most of the dens were in Pisces. Eventually, he would need to speak to someone officially so he could be accepted, but he figured it could wait. It's not like he was causing trouble and going to hurt anyone by living in Pisces. As he walked, he grabbed mouthfuls of the long grass that contained seeds for breakfast. Before they could begin adventuring today, he wanted to make sure he was well fed and not going to pass out from lack of food. "Cadence? Are you out there?" Heading towards the Ridges, he wondered where he would find anyone. @Baroque RE: meet the brother - Baroque - Jan 06 2016 BAROQUE SONGCAT Baroque was all too aware that his momma was having a "girl's day"-- which meant that he was supposed to be lllllllllllhaving a father and son time, but he was actively trying to skittle out of that because Quintus was certainly going to be there and Barry was scared of embarrassing his big bro again. Pisces wasn't a very large place, so hiding from his family was quite a difficult task. He just wandered about for now, staring at his paws. His ears caught the voice of someone he sort of knew but not really. It sounded like they were calling for Cadence, which wasn't exactly... He glanced towards the voice, picking out the gembound in question. Unfortunately, Barry had forgot the kid's name and now was frantically trying to remember it. He could feel the nervousness rising up his legs and the urge to be a HUGE BABY was mounting. He could not let this happen. Not now. He had to be brave. @Jack RE: meet the brother - Jack - Jan 06 2016
All of the worries of impressing family members were not on Jack's shoulders. In fact, he didn't have any worries at all ever. Just wanting to get onto the next adventure, do the next lame kids thing. Sleep, eat. It was a boring life but he didn't mind, he didn't see it as boring. The dingo pup had his nose pressed to the ground as he tried to pick up her scent. It was a thing he always forgot he had, a great sense of smell. That was when he caught something familiar, something he had smelled the day of his hatching. Raising his head, he caught site of the lion tailed bear and stopped to wave a paw absently. The name was unique, so it wasn't hard for him to forget. After all he only knew like 4 or 5 people in all his life. "Baroque hi! Your sister?" Dingo child had never connected the dots of Cadence being his sister. They were far too different both in appearance and personality. Closing the gap between them, he questioned, "You're Cadence's brother? Wow! I had no idea!" Maybe he would like to join their team? "I was looking for her, but I don't know where she is. Not important if you're happy to hang out and do something!" All he needed was one person after all, but if he could find Cadence that'd be even better too. @Baroque RE: meet the brother - Baroque - Jan 06 2016 BAROQUE SONGCAT Ah... Yeah. Baro thought it was fairly obvious that the other grizzly lions were his sisters, but when Jack seemed to lllll be surprised by the fact, the chubby golden cub could only think that of course he looked nothing like Cadence and Sonata. They were elegant, pretty, pristine and white. He just looked like a messy mash up of his parents, plopped out into a fat little baby. He swallowed that fact and put on a smile-- one that Thistle would see through in a second. Baroque would get over his shyness one way or another. If it kept him from meeting up with Leon and Quintus for a while-- and his dad couldn't be mad if he was making new friends-- then all the better. @Jack RE: meet the brother - Jack - Jan 06 2016
Due to his youth and only having met the boy once before, he didn't pick up on the obvious coverage he was trying to pull and put no more thought into how he had just acted. Seemed fairly normal. "Don't think I've met Sonata, but I know Cadence pretty well." After only having done a few things with her, he considered her his best friend forever. That sucked how Cadence was with her mum, he had wanted to play with her but her brother was the next best thing. He seemed really nice when he met him the first time. "No worries! Do you want to join our group? It's called Team Psyplant!" Tail wagging behind him, his whole face lit up. "We go around into different caves and meet a lot of different people and if we can, we try and help them and recruit people to join us! We want to be the biggest rescue group in Origin caves! We will be so well known and... and..." He had to pause to take a breath and in doing so, he began to pant. Truly a puppy after his own heart, he really hoped that the boy would join them. Jack wasn't good at reading what he was thinking, but if he was anything like Cadence he would be the best addition to their group. "Cadence is the leader, I'm the second-in-command and it doesn't really go past that... We don't have any others to play with. So it'd be cool if you could join!" @Baroque RE: meet the brother - Baroque - Jan 06 2016 BAROQUE SONGCAT It made sense that Jack hadn't meant Sonata. She wasn't exactly the friendliest of gembounds-- though Barrylllllllll loved her dearly all the same. He let Jack go on and on for a while, listening to all the fun stuff Cadence must have been up to. Had she been upset that he had found a new friend? Making a fun team and go exploring sounded exactly like stuff she had tried to do with Baro... Except he had been lousy at it because he was so scared all the time. ... Maybe it was for the best. When Jack invited him to join, though, he felt pins and needles go down his legs and his tail bristled, twitching back and forth. He had met Thistle, hadn't he? And then, as a last ditch train of thought, he fumbled out one last thing, @Jack |
