Ahoy! Adventure & Treasure! - Cadence - Jan 06 2016 Which Cadence didn't since she'd never been so far before. The grizzly lion wouldn't admit that she was completely lost though. Nope! They could keep writing on the map and pretend they knew where to go. Except... they now ended up in a strange cave with a huge wind thing. "Whooooaaaa.... Check it out, Jacky Boy." Cadence sat the fern leaf on the ground and pointed with one paw to the twister. "Bet that could suck us right up!" She said with a laugh. Cadence never was one to truly recognize the danger of a situation. So far they'd been in nothing but tunnels but this room was quite amazing! Perhaps they could go around and explore for a bit. That couldn't hurt could it? "Come on, let's look around. Maybe there's treasure here." And why couldn't there be treasure in such an amazing room? It certainly looked like it harbored many secrets. 301 @Jack Illiad Odyssey --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums, What a shame that you came here with someone...
RE: Ahoy! Adventure & Treasure! - Odyssey - Jan 07 2016 What were these voices? They were... unfamiliar, jovial, feminine and bright, unlike anything they'd really heard before. They weren't accustomed to the cheerful lilt of youth - Odyssey's own were brash and dark, and Iliad's were secretive, coveted like a jewel, and Othello never spoke at all. Magdalena was quiet and delicate, as if speaking above a whisper would break her, and Nemesis was the exact opposite: loud as the twister itself. They hadn't seen Louie in a while, but their father's voice they would know anywhere. Sly, ebbing. A voice that filled Odyssey with pride and disdain all the same. But these? Odyssey had never heard these kinds of voices before. Excited and young and ready, curious, a girl. The only girls Odyssey knew were Mother and Nemesis. The fact that it was a girl wouldn't change Odyssey's method of approach, though, even if they felt a sudden turmoil in their chest like meeting a girl would be any different from meeting a boy (and while Odyssey never identified with either gender, their near constant immersion with those of the masculine persuasion made them feel far more comfortable). They had rounded the platforms, spotting the entrance to the cave near which the intruders sat. There was some white feline-esque creature, stockier than one would expect, and a svelte canine like them and Othello. Odyssey hesitated on the platforms, narrowing their eyes, but charged forward none the less. "Hey!" They called, curling their lips in a sneer as they descended the platforms and came to stand before the two. "What's this? Are you lost?" Odyssey pushed their nose at the pair, looking between them, though their nervous gaze eventually landed on the dingo. @Othello @Iliad come watch Ody kick some butt in the name of the MERRYMEN! RE: Ahoy! Adventure & Treasure! - Jack - Jan 07 2016
There was no end to their energy and day in and day out they were off on adventures of wonder. Whether that be venturing deep within the heart of the Core or only meandering into neighbouring tunnels of Pisces. Jack would follow his queen anywhere, Cadence had proven to be the best friend he had found and he wouldn't give up the girl's company for anything. In recent days, his plant magic had been causing an itch on the gem embedded in his forehead. It was waiting to burst, it wanted to release some of its magic but he hadn't gotten a chance too. Carelessly, they traveled into Monoceros and Jack stared down the powerful twister. "Yeah! It is pretty awesome." Anything that harboured something as mystical as a never ending source of wind had to contain secrets and spoils. Before he could begin their rummage though, his nose picked up something and he elbowed Cadence, but the borzoi hybrid was already upon them. Jack stepped backwards, but his tail kept wagging, despite the hostile greeting, "Hey there! We're explorers and came to check out this awesome windy cave you have here!" Maybe his hostility was only over his not understanding of why they were here? @Odyssey @Cadence RE: Ahoy! Adventure & Treasure! - Cadence - Jan 07 2016 Noticing that she was starting to stare she shook her head to clear her thoughts. Why was this guy affecting her in such a way? Just because his stupid fur was pretty didn't mean anything! Besides, he wasn't being very nice to her and Jack. She felt even more defensive now that she'd caught herself getting distracted by this handsome stranger. "Yeah! So, we ain't lost!" The grizzly lion shoved her nose back at the pretty-furred dog-thing with a wrinkled snout. "Move it and let us explore, pea-horn!" Normally she wasn't so aggressive but dang-it! This guy was just rubbing her the wrong way! 210 @Jack Illiad Odyssey --- 6/10 "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... RE: Ahoy! Adventure & Treasure! - Iliad - Jan 10 2016 Today was no different to every other day, all he would do was spend time following Odyssey around the same cave. Listen to the same noises of the Merry Men go about their business, the absence of Louie's came more as a relief than a concern when he left Monoceros for days on end. Iliad would prefer instead to remain near the platforms, unless of course they were actually going to leave and travel somewhere else. That would be cool as well, which was why he had decided to go with Odyssey once again. Always he held out on the hope they would leave, he couldn't do it without his brother, but they never ended up doing so. It didn't upset him, he was content to remain and more than happy to spend time with Othello and Odyssey playing games and passing the time. There wasn't anything that had placed a drive to leave just yet. Odyssey had traipsed ahead and he had followed slowly behind, only to hear more voices. Ears twitching, there were an additional two but he couldn't get a good reading on their size as he came up behind the refined borzoi fox. One of the voices became aggressive, it was high pitched and he disliked it. Only Odyssey's voice was soothing to the sensitive boy. In response, he just swept his tail across the ground and pointedly remarked to his counterpart, "Brother who is there? Why are they being rude to you?" The pea-horn thing sounded rude, he had no idea it was in fact alluding to the gem horns his brother adorned. When I speak. When I think. ooc; assuming this is before they know about Louie in chrysalis form <: @Cadence @Odyssey RE: Ahoy! Adventure & Treasure! - Odyssey - Jan 22 2016 The hybrid narrowed their eyes, staring down their long, sloped muzzle at the dingo, obviously unimpressed with his answer. The Merrymen didn't take kindly to explorers! Explorers were intruders, and this awesome windy cave of theirs was just exactly that - theirs! Odyssey snorted, preparing to whip up another retort when the grizzlion filled the silence instead, daring to even challenge them with a demand! The hybrid scoffed and turned their poison glare to her, narrowing their eyes even further until they were toxic green slits. Their lip curled, and a whole new retort was brewing just at the forefront of their lips before they were interrupted again. This time, it was the sudden swell of their brother's presence and Odyssey stepped aside, glancing back at the approaching molefox. "Eh don't worry about it Illie, I was just showing these guys out." Odyssey answered nonchalantly, only to throw a sneer at the grizzlion and her friend. Good thing Iliad couldn't see. @Cadence |
