RE: push & shove - Harper - Jan 24 2016
Fused to grey stone, a strange, almost matte-pink object protruded from the wall of Tunnel O. Even up-close, nothing beyond its shell could be seen; in fact, it could be mistaken for a simple natural formation... if not for the heartbeat thrumming inside, rabbit-fast and panicked. The creature inside was curled almost backwards, chest forced out and hips back from the awkward dome-shape of its egg. Fear and adrenaline slowly kicked in, and she twitched once, bright blue eyes snapping open, glaring at the thick pink beyond. ...out. Besoin de sortir. Her front paws curled in on themselves, but the right felt heavy, weighted, dangerous, and black lips curled up as she lifted it, confident and sure, running on instinct and pride. Pas de problème. Slowly, the kit's arm raised, breath held close, and then, in an instant, it snapped backward and forth with all her weight. Sharp, heavy spikes dug into the shell, cracked it open with a glass-like snap, and she pushed until it finally fell away completely - and dumped her directly onto the cold floor below. Snout smacking on stone, the little pink bundle of fluff groaned, raising her head enough to shake it dizzily, too caught up in the temperature shift to notice the other newborn, short feet away. @Joey RE: push & shove - Joseph - Jan 24 2016

Grimacing and spitting out pebbles, the kit's first, second and third reactions to the nudges were dramatic grumbles and groans, finally raising her head enough to stare, disgruntled, at whatever was poking her. Eyes like chipped glass peered up at what looked like a... very tall rabbit. That had gotten stretched in a taffy puller. And... hopped? She blinked curiously at the pebble placed next to her muzzle, sniffing at it with a frankly glaringly-pink nose before moving her heavy, pearl-laden paw to cover it. Brow furrowing, the vixen replied slowly and mulishly. "...je suis tout à fait bien. Ah, pardon, you speak like this, yes?" Relaxing when his toes stayed where they were - not poking her, thank you very much - she grinned, slowly struggling to sit up, batting the pebble to her other paw and hiding it underneath pink toes. "I am alright. Are you?" Narrowed gaze roaming over his coat, she grimaced at the dust and grime already thick on its surface. "You are not... uncomfortable?" Even the thought of having so much... debris nearby made her skin crawl, and she absently raised her right paw, grooming over cold stone and plush fur. @Joey RE: push & shove - Joseph - Jan 27 2016

Absently shaking off the fine coat of dust covering her, the kit peered at the long-rabbit curiously, only to grin hard enough to twitch her cheek muscles at the mention of her escape from the egg. She bounced back on her haunches, raising her right front paw with a victorious giggle. "Oui, oui, monsieur! The crystal didn't stand a chance, non? Not against this beauté!" Blue eyes sparkled, and she nodded an affirmative. "Je suis un champion!" Proudly puffing out her chest, the fox's teeth glinted in the low light. "Madame Harper, à votre service! It is nice to meet you, monsieur Joey," the neon-colored hatchling assured - although she could do without the dirt that clung to the other's pelt... well. Perhaps he would fancy a bath? "Are you a... fighter too?" The foreign word tripped on Harper's tongue, but she managed it, blinking up at Joey with a pleased smile. @Joey |
