This is Not Home - Zevruu - Feb 13 2016 After some time of walking, Zevruu wandered into a new room. This one was significantly different than the one he had spent most of his life in. It was a lot scarier looking. Bones littered the floor everywhere he looked, sharp pointy things hung from the ceiling. It gave off a sort of creepy vibe. As he walked, he noticed that some bones had the remnants of gems. Zev walked slowly, checking everything out. He had lost the confidence that he had managed to gain from spending so much in Orion. Zevruu's fur stood on end as he walked. He really did not like this place one bit, it creeped him out immensely. He continued to walking, taking slow cautious steps. As he gazed around, his paw grazed some bones and sent them clattering. He jumped in surprise, his mouth opening and dropping the stone he carries with him. It fell to the ground and skittered away from him. He leaped after it, not wanting to lose it. It was a reminder of when he met Macawi. He liked carrying it with him, although the reason he wasn't sure of. He kept a paw on the stone, not letting it get away. He half hoped no one had heard the bones or the stone falling. "Speech" l 'Thoughts' RE: This is Not Home - Ashtoreth - Mar 17 2016 To Ashtoreth, this was home. And yet, every night, she found herself restless. Where there should have been safety, there was nightmares-- the only one who could chase them away lost in the caves somewhere with the monsters that fueled the chaotic mess of her mind. The Herbivores. She tried not think about them, but the more she felt stuck in her home, the more she knew she could never leave the memories behind. Her best friend was out there, leaving her alone with dust and bones. Frankly, was it really her home with her heart missing? The tiny noodle crept about, avoiding rattling bones with her pawsteps. Her wing had healed, but she hadn't dared trying to fly. Even just moving her wing brought phantom pains and violent flashbacks. She just... Couldn't face those demons yet. Cringing, she made her way through the dusty paths, hoping to find a snack despite her lack of appetite. Her father wanted her to eat, even if she could barely stand to keep anything down. A noise caught her ears-- bones and stones scrapping against the floor. It was a sudden sound, not the crashing thunder of the big guardian or of anyone else. Part of her hoped it was her sister causing trouble, but she hadn't seen Liora... Much, since her return. The bird was around; there were always birds around Canis. With a slight huff, she set off to find the source of the sound. A puffy ball of fur that blended into the dusty room came into her vision and she finally picked out the silhouette from the territory. With a slow blink, she raised her good wing: a banner of black and white, like a national flag. The mustelid made an attempt to speak with her magic, but it failed. Some days were better than others, but being malnourished meant having little magic to work with. With a frustrated huff, she kicked a bone and sent it scattering away, making a clatter of noises that would be sure to grab the attention of the stranger. ![]() @Zevruu |
