RE: Falling out of Orbit - Ghanyarah - Feb 24 2016 A recent meal was busy simmering away in his stomach. And, as was typical of reptiles, Ghanyarah liked to sit back and let his food digest as opposed to move around too much. He didn't want to unsettle his stomach. Least of all cause any gastric distress. So, Ghanyarah had taken to relaxing on a long, low-lying limb in a small glade. An inward desire for the warmth of sunshine left him dissatisfied with the cold artificial light of the lamps. It left him unable to bask, and he briefly considered asking his brother to set something on fire so he could soak up the heat. If only he could bask in the cold... Then he'd be all set. Ghanyarah was close to drifting asleep when the voice rang out. His brow furrowed and he relented against opening his eyes. He wanted to fall asleep and relax with his stomach full. Why was she coming searching for him now? Oh wait. She hasn't been here in a while. Maybe I should go meet her. Unfortunately, Ghanyarah was ruled by logic. For as much as he wanted to lounge, he knew that he should see her and continue their training. So, with a rumbling grown, the reptile peeled his sunset eyes open and slid lazily off the branch into the mucky leaf litter. The reptile moved slowly and casually towards the sound of her voice, soon to find the black dog among the trees. Flicking his tongue, he tasted her scent - and that of blood. Ghanyarah scanned her, finding the open wound on her leg. "You've been training." He pointed out, flicking his gaze up to her own as he awaited some kind of explanation. @Nova RE: Falling out of Orbit - Nova - Feb 24 2016
RE: Falling out of Orbit - Ghanyarah - Feb 25 2016 He had expected a delivery of how her training went. Maybe a list of opponents she had fought, a tale of her great success and all that she had learned. Instead, she seemed to be admitting defeat in that she was too slow, and because of it she had nearly gotten herself killed. Of course this served to aggrandize his ego, only to dampen it slightly when he realized that his training may as well have been squandered if she'd died. Was it due to carelessness, or was she really incapable? "Tell me what happened." Ghanyarah answered evenly. There was no visible emotion stretched across his maw, and as far as he was concerned, he had nothing to feel towards this news until he knew all the details. @Nova RE: Falling out of Orbit - Nova - Feb 25 2016
RE: Falling out of Orbit - Ghanyarah - Feb 26 2016 The reptile settled into the substrate, finding the cool of the mud soothing against his tough skin. Though heat would have felt nicer against his digesting stomach, he wouldn't toss a good sensation where it came. Silently, he listened to Nova's story about the statue and the rocks and the tripwire, which had been too fast for her to escape from. Ghanyarah had to wonder if even he would be fast enough to escape that, considering his bulk and his slowed muscles any time the temperature seemed to fall. Her second near-death experience comprised a cobra bite, which prompted Ghanyarah to raise his brows. She almost died had it not been for another Gembound coming and sucking the poison out. Ghanyarah couldn't help but think of how useful that would've been after his fight with the giant spider. "Yes. It would seem you are regrettably sluggish." Ghanyarah pointed out, looking over the dog and finding hid gaze clinging to her wounds again. "You need more practice. We shall engage in agility training." He decided. Would her wounds hold her back? Surely she hd come here to practice more, otherwise she would have stayed where ever she came from. Surely she didn't just come here to complain at him. @Nova RE: Falling out of Orbit - Nova - Feb 28 2016
