The Observance of Life - Lakshmi - Mar 12 2016 After leaving the peacefully sleeping Todd, Lakshmi had gambolled around the damp cave. Still a child, she thought nothing of making a mental map back to Todd. She had made a commitment to him, certainly, but she was young and she was curious, and she was falling! With a yelp, Lakshmi tumbled into what would surely be another hard shelf of rock, crushing the life from her - or not. She was cushioned by soft, springy green things, that smelled nice. Alive. But now she was stuck, she realised, scrabbling at the mossy rock. "Todd!" But he was asleep, wasn't he? If she jumped and scrabbled, she could just get high enough to see the silver fox. She closed her eyes and strained for the power that had earlier flooded her, made her feel alive. @Todd RE: The Observance of Life - Todd - Mar 13 2016 "Speech" @Lakshmi Todd hadn't slept in.... a long time. maybe even a cycle or two. it'd just been that long since he'd felt safe. Any time he'd lain down his head, nightmares plagued him, and the fear that someone would come back and play with him, even whilst he was out of it, was there. But sleeping now was almost like going to another world. That's what dreams were, weren't they? So he slept, feeling peaceful and safe. So long as he couldn't see the world, the world couldn't see him. Then there was a tiny voice, breaking the soft silence. A familiar one. He shifted and winced. He didn't wanna come back to the real world. He wanted to stay here, where he could play in peace, and walk, and not be afraid... And then he felt his fur shift a little, with... something. He stirred, opening his eyes to slivers of brown. And he saw a little face peering at him; a familiar one. Curiosity made him slowly rise intro a sitting position with a sharp-toothed yawn. The little face was gone. Where'd it go? Hind legs stiffly supporting him, he limped over to the edge and peered over to see his little friend. "Whatcha doing down there?" RE: The Observance of Life - Lakshmi - Mar 13 2016 Yes! She'd got his attention! "Todd?" she enquired, trying and failing not to whine. "I'm a bit stuck, can you help me?" To prove her point, Lakshmi tried to claw her way out of the trench. "Magic," she muttered through clenched teeth, practically to herself. "I need more magic..." She was already drained from waking up Todd, so she hoped he would help her with his own powers, whatever they were. RE: The Observance of Life - Todd - Mar 14 2016 "Speech" @Lakshmi Todd tilted his head slightly to one side, unsure of quite what had happened. But he wanted to help, all the same! "I'll help, I'll help! What can I do?" he asked nervously. He heard her mumble something about magic, and remembered that she possessed a spell sort of similar to his own. maybe it even was the same! He just hadn't ever tried to use it in the way she had. But in this case, Todd didn't think magic would help; unless she wanted to be thrown, violently. Maybe she did. He wasn't certain, but he decided to hold off for now anyway. Gazing down into the trench, Todd gave a huff and reached down with a paw, trying to get just a little bit lower so that he could reach the little lemur. He thought all was going well, until his back legs began to follow. One stiff foot slipped, and he gave a short yip as it fell down, followed by his hindquarters. He managed to slow down, perched just above Lakshmi and clinging onto the moss. His tail trailed down however, the thinly furred thing perhaps trailing just near enough for Lakshmi to reach... RE: The Observance of Life - Lakshmi - Mar 28 2016 With a squeak of effort, Lakshmi clambered up onto a pile of fragrant ferns, sinking below her. Todd's tail was within reach, and she hoped she wouldn't do any harm when she... ...leaped onto it, scurrying over thick fur and aeonian ferns in a bid to reach the edge and help Todd himself out. "Sorry, Todd! Magic will help!" RE: The Observance of Life - Lakshmi - Mar 28 2016 OOC: Whoops! Forgot to tick the attempt box! @Todd Your Friendly Mod Shafaer;; Fixed your magicka for you, lovely <3 |
