All the Lights in the Sky - Eira the Undying - Apr 28 2016 Squinting with her remaining red eye, Eira stalked forward, her body curling defensively, unsure of what lurked about every corner. It'd been a while, for sure. A long while. Had she ever even seen lights this bright before? They were so different to the false lights that she'd become accustomed to. So... Eira didn't want to admit it, but they were beautiful, and she was entranced. Her nose twitching, she tried not to let it show on her face that she was pleasantly surprised by this place. perhaps the lights here were like Will-O-Wisps, luring unwary travelers into danger. That, and even a momentary lapse in attention could give an opportunity for the demons to strike. Halting in her tracks, Eira looked around, and then turned back to make sure she was still in company. Kimen, her partner since birth, should have been beside her all the way. with only one eye, she had to twitch her head wildly before she could actually see him. The loss of an eye was an aggravating change to be sure, but she didn't like to show any sign of weakness. Breathing out through her nose in a relieved sigh, the otter sat back on her haunches as she waited for the slower creature to catch up to her. @Kimen RE: All the Lights in the Sky - Kimen - May 20 2016
@Eira RE: All the Lights in the Sky - Eira the Undying - May 20 2016 "Speech" After another quick glance around this new place, Eira moved towards Kimen again as he spoke, declaring that he was tired, of all the things and that he wanted a break. Eira almost retorted with a command but after a moment, stopped herself mid-grunt. Why? she asked herself. It didn't seem like there was anything around here and... she was the one on guard. Sure, Kimen could have his break. She'd decided. Eira gave a brisk nod and opened her mouth to speak again. When suddenly... "Kimen?!" Eira cried out in shock as he fell to the ground face first, sudden shock and panic running through her as she bounded over to where he'd fallen. Anger and rage suddenly exploded in her breast. "Where are you, demon!?" she yelled, throwing her head back to shout at the lights in the sky. @Kimen RE: All the Lights in the Sky - Kimen - May 25 2016
@Eira RE: All the Lights in the Sky - Eira the Undying - May 25 2016 Eira's chest heaved and her fur stood on end, her entire body bristling as she paced around Kimen like an angry shark. And then she heard his voice. A small giggle... Eira's heavy breaths fell silent and she focused on his apparently motionless form. A few seconds passed and he spoke to her. The nerve! Eira thought to herself, but she couldn't bring herself to be truly angry. After a few long seconds of staring blankly at him, she heaved a heavy sigh and gently shook her head. She didn't seem to understand at first... Jokes seemed to fly right over her head. And then, she stopped to think. One could tell by her averted gaze that she was considering... deeply. And then she stopped, gave a full examination of the room around with a wide swing of her head... and burst out int maniacal laughter, falling to the ground with a very distinct thud! The otter stopped laughing only moments later and it seemed as though she was trying to copy and pretend to be dead. But after a few moments, she spoke anyway, not moving an inch from her 'deathbed'. "I haven't seen any demons... I don't think they like this kind of light," she huffed, gesturing with a rubbery paw up towards the distant swirling auroras. She must have been referring to their beauty. "Strange how somewhere so unfamiliar can feel so much safer..." "Listen to me." @Kimen |
