renaissance - Eythan - May 02 2016 Once buried beneath the coarse and tightly-packed soil of Tunnel K, there was now a beautifully marbled Mookaite Jasper chrysalis, fully developed and formed. It was decently sized, about a third of Azazel's size, and rotund. Within, there was a faint glow that outlined a curled up silhouette within. At it's side, an aquamarine chrysalis had formed, and the creature that had formed inside of the jasper was aware of his, crown pressed against the side of the shell that was barely touching the other chrysalis. Eythan was hesitant to leave his shell, somehow just knowing that if he left the comfort and safety of his home, he'd have to suffer through surviving and just trying to save his own hide. Unfortunately, his gem had other plans. It had decided that he spent too long in his chrysalis. His wings involuntarily twitched and stretched, further splintering the suddenly fragile stone. Membrane filled his lungs as his mouth opened and he snapped into conciousness. Bright eyes opened and he panicked a little, relinquishing the grip he had on his tail for a moment to flounder a little and force his way out of the flood of fluid that seemed to come with conciousness. Once freed, the gryphon-esque hybrid hacked and wheezed, coughing up globules of membrane as well as fluid itself. His lungs hurt like he had pneumonia, but he wasn't even sure how he even knew what that was. Eythan weakly looked up, shedding off a chunk of gemstone and membrane. @Carni RE: renaissance - Carni - May 03 2016
The felines first thoughts were of bones. Bones and warmth. The warmth came from the chrysalis he remained encased inside. The bones, well, he wasn't sure where. Inside his aquamarine stone, the hybrid was essentially asleep. His eyes closed, mouth slightly open as if he were breathing. His body was still, frozen in place with the thick fluid inside. His long tail curled up in between his legs and came up close to his face with his wings held tightly against his fragile body. His paws were curled in together, nearly touching at his chest. With his head tilted down, it made for a slightly ominous shadow in the chrysalis from the outside. Carni was a peaceful sleeper, that was for sure. He hardly woke at all when he felt the contact from the being next to him vanish and become cold as the being was flushed from their home with the warmth in tow. His eye's weren't open, but he was stirring inside his chrysalis, but hardly enough to be seen. The warmth returned barely, in another place, but the pressure seemed to do more bad than good, causing the aquamarine stone to crack and then break, spilling the kitten out onto the floor into the cold, ghastly tunnel. He woke with a fire in his lungs. Red eyes shot open as he scrambled to stand, his body taking the natural feline scared pose, body nearly curling in on itself with his tail between his adversary and himself. He began to cough and hack then, ridding his lungs of the fluid and at the same time gasping at air. As his vision settled, as well as his breathing, he noticed another being. Brother. He felt familiar to him, as if he'd known him forever. The fluid from his chrysalis left the young boy drenched, his rosy complexion shining through his pristine white fur that was slicked to his body. His pose relaxed slowly and he looked towards his brother, tilting his head. Whereas it seemed his brother had found his voice, Carni hadn't yet had the idea. @eythan |
