Save Today. - Khoridai - May 28 2016
Silence seemed to be the only thing Khoridai found within the caves these days. Everything was just way too quiet. Even those stupid golems were quiet. The large hybrid's chest rumbled, the sound a mixture of a canine growl and that of a dragons. If there was one thing Khoridai hated the most it was being bored to the point that not even filling his belly seemed to help. His father, Damian, seemed to be in a strange mood ever since his other father, Baratheon, went missing. How such a large beast went missing was beyond him, but he knew Bara was fine. Idly Khori blew air out his nostrils, flopping his long, fluffy tail off to the side. He had certainly outgrown his lycan of a father. Something he always enjoyed teasing the beast about. Of course Damian took it in stride, rising up to his challenge of shit talking and not once did he lose his temper. A ghost of a smile shadowed across his features for a brief moment before that same bored expression took over once again. With another sigh Khoridai closed his eyes and hummed thoughtfully to himself. The pink gem upon his chest gave a sudden flash of light before warming up against his scales. Khoridai would attempt to summon an image of himself, just across the river from where he perched. Usually his brother would be at the river with him, but he had not seen hide nor tail of Saosin either. Not seeing his brother for so long left his heart heavy, but he would not intrude on his twin. Especially if he thought Sao was off making a name out of himself. When he no longer felt the warmth of his gem, Khori opened his eyes and peered across the river in hopes to see himself staring back at him... "Speech" 'Thoughts' Words:Words Tags: @Kin-Kin OoC: RE: Save Today. - Kin-Kin - May 28 2016 Kin-Kin had decided that she liked this place. The beautiful lights always shifting and swirling, the odd way that the air seemed heavy... as though it were simply crammed with magic to the point that it was either intoxicating or choking. So she'd decided to stick around for a time. She'd explore, maybe annoy some of the residents... And then she'd hop along. That's how her life seemed to work these days. She was a journeyman these days, never to be held down or tied. She went as she pleased, when she pleased. The way she roamed with no rulers made the caves feel like her oyster. Coming to a halt by the river in order to lap up some of its pristine waters to quench her thirst, Kin-Kin paused for a while in her tracks. And when she looked up again, there was something there, that definitely hadn't been there before. She tensed up, tail held stiffly out behind her and hackles rising. She'd never seen anything like that before! Or a Gembound so huge... Sure, when she'd first emerged the caves had seemed huge, but this was different. This was a living thing. Against her better judgement, the golden wolf approached. Her better judgement had never gotten her anywhere in the past and this, she assumed, would be no different. Stretching out her neck from where she stood as close as she reasonably stood from the winged being, Kin-Kin stretched out her neck to give them a good sniff. "Well, aren't you quite something then..." she began, waving her plumed tail. ...but they had no scent. She narrowed her eyes, jerking her head around in sudden wariness- only to see another one! looking up from the other side of the river. Standing up straight, she backed away from the illusion, looking warily at the one sitting comfortably on the other side of the river. "Listen to me." @Khoridai RE: Save Today. - Khoridai - May 28 2016
Much to Khori's relief a perfect image of himself stood across the river from him. He stood relaxed, blank eyes staring emotionleessly right back at himself. It was almost like it was just some strange entity. It was in that moment of him just admiring the ability of his magic did he finally notice the movement right beside his doppleganger. His ears pricked up in curiosity, sniffing thoughtfullly at the air in hopes to catch the canine's scent. As if on instinct his tail began to sway slowly behind him. The creature had spoke before they realized what they were talking to was not actualy a someone. Khoridai released his magic when he saw the wolf step back away, giving off a rather nervous expression in their body language. "No need to panic," He laughed gently, his voice deep and serene in it's tone. "I'm not a hostile gembound, honest." there was a playful grin upon his features now as he rose up to his paws. Though he had grown to an impressive size, the river was still a bit too long for him to just step across it. He supposed it was probably a good thing he had wings. He didn't feel like getting in the water just yet. With one quick jump, Khori made it half way across the river before his wings spread open in just the slightest way to get him the rest of the way. Easily his paws landed on the other side, a good five feet away from the canine just so he didn't scare her anymore than he was; if he was. He turned around to face her before plopping back on his hindquarters just as any canine would do when they sat. With a flutter of his wings to give them a nice stretch he folded the appendages neatly along his sides. "My name is Khoridai. What's yours?" Meeting a new friend was definitely a good cure for a bout of boredom. "Speech" 'Thoughts' Words:Words Tags: @Kin-Kin OoC: RE: Save Today. - Kin-Kin - May 28 2016 Kin-Kin's ears pricked as she caught words drifting to meet her from over the river. The voice was deep, and loud... Then again, it had to be to be heard from all the way over here. The wolf watched them, bowed her head, and let out a light, singsong laugh. "I'll take your word for it!" she called out to them, her stance relaxing slightly. Within a few moments, she'd shaken all traces of fear from her form, seating herself on the riverbank with a shake of her ears and a shrug of her cloak. Even if a slight wariness remained in her mind, Kin-Kin had trained herself to drive the fear from her form. Her breaths were even, and her raised hackles slowly lowered back down to her spine. She watched, her ears perked and interested, as the impressive creature threw themselves from the riverbank and suddenly they were right next to each other. Kin-Kin looked surprised for a split second, but again she chased it away. Moments later, she was calm, her eyes bright with interest. "Well, don't you make for a dashing first impression?" she chuckled, a curious expression on her face. As if to try and show off, putting herself in the spotlight a little bit more, Kin-Kin closed her eyes, focusing inward on her gem and gilded fur. Within moments, the wolf's fur lit up in a blaze of gold and she grinned suavely at the stranger who'd just introduced themselves as Khoridai. "Kin-Kin," she responded, bowing her head deeply. "Suits me, right?" "Listen to me." @Khoridai RE: Save Today. - Khoridai - Jun 29 2016 ![]()
Laughter rumbled in his chest as the canine greeted him as she finally walked over and relaxed. However, it was when the pup began to glow that his eyes went wide and his wings fluttered open for a brief moment. "It most certainly does," He awed over the radiant glow Kin-Kin seemed to now have. Soon a grin slid across his features and he crossed his front legs in front of him, lowering his head just a bit to get a better sniff at the canine. "So what brings you to Polaris? I haven't seen many gembounds about the area in awhile," His pink eyes searched Kin-Kin's. Curious to hear her story as to why she could possibly be roaming around Polaris. Sure it was a pretty, and very blue, place, but surely there were other places more intriguing than this one. Then again, that could also just be his own opinion as he had spent most of his young life living here within Polaris. "Speech" Tags: @Kin-Kin Words: Notes: OHMYGOD i am so sorry .-. sorry for the crappy post. and sorry it took so long for me to remember I owed a post. RE: Save Today. - Kin-Kin - Jul 01 2016 "I might ask the same for you!" she quipped with a delicate chuckle, before answering anyway. "This is the first time I've ventured from my birthplace. I decided it was time to... y'know... go my own way, finally." She met the large creature's gaze calmly an evenly, with a gaze filled with so much fire and mirth it was almost challenging. She was proud of leaving to find her own path, that much was obvious. Yet it seemed strange that he'd describe such a place as empty. It was huge, for sure, but there had to be more here than just herself, right? Perhaps it was something to do with the time the caves seemed to have fallen silent during her puppyhood, but that felt like so many cycles ago by now. "Seems like a nice enough place to me! Then again. Maybe I just like it 'cause it makes me look prettier..." It was hard to tell whether she was serious or simply joking. Either way, she let out another laugh. tagged: @Khoridai
ooc: Don't worry about it at all! sometimes life gets in the way. <3 muse: Pretty good! "Talking looks like this!" Thinking looks like this... RE: Save Today. - Khoridai - Jul 05 2016 Khoridai listened closely to Kin-Kin. With furry ears erect and unmoving it was an easy task. A grin curled across his features, peeling his lips back just enough to expose a few fangs that better showed his amusement. "Maybe it does," he spoke with a quick laugh in his amusement. Finally he shook it off and focused once more. "I was born here actually. You probably don't know him, but my father's name is Damian. In fact...I actually have two fathers. The second you may have heard of as he's not as big a recluse as damian is. His names Baratheon," he began blabbering about the parents he honestly hadn't seen in a long while. When he realized he had been blabbering he gave a meek grin. "But anyways, I haven't done a lot of traveling. Which is a shame really. I've only been to Eridanus a few times. You would think with me having grown bored of this area I would have gone off exploring," he hummed thoughtfully as he turned his gaze to look about the area slowly. He wasn't sure what exactly kept him here, but he had the thought that it was probably about his twin. He hadn't seen his brother since the great slumber and he was a little worried about it. "So this is the first place you came to after leaving your birth place?" His voice was full of curiosity, almost eager to hear her story. @Kin-Kin RE: Save Today. - Kin-Kin - Jul 07 2016 "I've only been to here and Pisces, as of yet. Must say, I prefer it here." Her ears twitched at the mention of Eridanus, her curiosity piquing. "What's it like in Eridanus?" she asked curiously, settling down into a lying position, radiating an air of being totally relaxed. "Yeah! Well, other than Pisces. That'a a room full of waterfalls." Seeming to sense that they were after a story, Kin-Kin continued. "I spent most of my time there climbing, jumping, and trying to force myself to glow. I wanted to be strong, and I still do! It's been a long, tough road, but now here I am!" The wolf shot to her paws, her chest puffed out with pride. "...I think it went pretty well." She gave a stray tuft of fur on her chest a swift lick to smooth it down. Pisces. For some reason that place sounded familiar. He had never been there before, but maybe he had heard it from one of his fathers' at some point. Shrugging it off a smile curled his features once again as he watched the canine push out her chest proudly. "I think so too!" He agreed with a low chuckle as he gave a quick flutter of his wings before they stretched out and lazily flopped over the ground on either side of him, one wing dipping into the water of the river. "Baratheon, my second father, he's a dragon! He looks sort of like me, but he doesn't have a furry tail. And has a blue mane. ANd no black markings like mine. Honestly he is a full bred dragon, while I am a hybrid," Khoridai hummed in a thoughtful tune for a moment before grinning again, "Damian. He's a lycanthrope. A wolf that can walk on his hind legs and has...hands I suppose you call them instead of paws. They look like paws, sort of, but...I don't know you'd have to see them." It was a funny thought trying to explain damian with his pawed like hands and his ability to walk on two feet instead of four like most all other gembounds. He shook it off before moving on to Kin-kin's other question. "Eridanus is gorgeous! It's covered in foliage. Ferns as tall as they can reach. Trees of all kinds littering most everywhere within the cavern. There's a huuuuuge mushroom called the Monarch that sits smack dab in the middle of it. And much more to see than I can explain in one sitting," He laughed again, the sound deep and resonating in his mirth. He truly loved Eridanus, but he honestly only had Polaris to compare to it. Perhaps he should go start exploring all the other areas, but eeven still he knew Eridanus would probably be his most favored. "Speech" 'Thoughts' Words:Words Tags: @Kin-Kin OoC: |
