Get Outta My House - Imperia - Jun 03 2016

Imperia
What's this?

Imperia had decided to go to Polaris, the defeat of one of their previous battles still on their mind. Sure, they had won another, but they still lost their first battle! It may not have been so bad if it wasn't their first. Well. It didn't matter anyway. They weren't going to lose again! They'd win all of their battles from now on! They'd fight everyone. Imperia decided to start with Polaris. The gembounds nearby won't know what hit them.

They continued walking and came across a river. It was rather large. They walked along the edge until something caught their eye. An opening! To a den, it seemed. Perhaps someone was in there? Only one way to find out! They walked closer and looked at the den. It was a hole that was dug. They began to sniff around it, seeing if any of the scents were fresh.

RE: Get Outta My House - Fira - Jun 03 2016

Fira had been napping in the ‘living area’ of the den, right by the entrance, when some sort of shuffling going on outside had woken her up. Her green eyes opened, flashing in the darkness, and she quickly got up and headed for the entrance. Upon entering the daylight, she was immediately confronted with a Cat who was not as big as her, and didn’t look to be fully grown yet. She blinked at it, trying to keep her cool. It’s not like the Cat had been trying to break in or anything. They’d been at the entrance, but they hadn’t gone inside. “Uhh… hey. Sorry, but this den is taken. Was there something you wanted?”

Imperia
Who are you?

Imperia sniffed around until a voice caught their attention. They turned and saw a cat looking at them. Their eyes narrowed. "Oh, it's taken, is it?" they snorted. "I don't want your stupid den. Why would anyone want to live in this place?" They glanced at the den before looking back at the cat. She was bigger than them, likely older. Oh well. That didn't matter, they'd still fight her and win.

"Do you have anything interesting in there, by any chance?" They were going to have to try and make the other mad. Hopefully that would make them want to fight. "You wouldn't mind me coming in, would you? It may be a stupid den, but that doesn't mean I don't want to come in. Oh, i'm just so tired!" That wasn't exactly a lie. They could still feel their wounds from their previous battles. But they wouldn't let that stop them from fighting!

The more this little shit talked, the more Fira realized that they were asking for trouble. Her eyes narrowed more and more, until they were mere slits, and her hackles rose, fur along her shoulders bristled in annoyance. Not quite anger, because Fira hardly ever became angry by anything, but she was definitely annoyed. “Look, I’m gonna tell you this once,” she started, teeth bared in warning. “You get away from my den or I’m gonna knock ya down. Alright? You’re smaller and younger than I am, so I don’t want to fight you. But I will if you keep bein’ a little shit like you’re being right now.” She paused. “What’ll it be?”

Imperia smirked at the leopard's reaction. They were clearly making her annoyed, which only gave the caracal a boost of confidence. "Don't want to fight me? Well, what if I want to fight you?" They weren't sure if the other would let them fight just by saying that they wanted to fight. They may have to try and force themselves into the den. What was so special about this den anyway? It was just a stupid den. Why protect it so fiercely? Imperia tried to push past the leopard, trying to get her to just fight them. But maybe they could destroy this den while fighting? The thought made them grin. That would be nice. Fighting and also destroying.

OOC NOTE: Please keep in mind that Fira was a Fledgling still at the time of this fight. She was NOT a Pupil yet.

Fira made a low growling noise in the back of her throat once Imperia started trying to shove past her and into the den. Her babies were in there. The leopard had been perfectly willing to let this whole thing slide if the cat would just back up, but she seemed intent on a fight. If that’s what needed to happen to protect her children, then so be it. “Get outta my den!” she said loudly, and she charged the caracal, attempting to shove the Gembound backwards, out of the entrance and off of her feet. No one was gonna hurt those chrysalises…

Imperia's grin was wiped off of his face when the leopard suddenly pushed at them. He fell, and landed on his side. Scowling, he scrambled up and glared at the other. His claws dug into the floor below as he growled. He crouched, and then leaped, claws aiming for the other, a glint in his eyes.

Round: 1/7
Attempt: scratch her!
Defense: none
Injuries: burns and scratches (previous battles)

Fira hissed when she felt the scratch in her shoulder, and she turned her face away in case the caracal wanted to keep up its attack. She didn’t need any claws near her face, thanks. And she certainly wasn’t going to try to claw this Gembound’s face either. She only killed or maimed when she had to. She was hoping she’d be able to… persuade the cat from continuing this stupid fight, but she highly doubted it would listen to reason, as that had not worked moments before… Fira took a few steps out of the entrance of the den, but she didn’t want to go too far because she didn’t want to give the cat a way past her. She didn’t know what the crazy Gembound would do with a pair of chrysalises.

The leopard instinctively called upon her Magic, hoping for some kind of spell that would harm the caracal without killing it. She had never used her venom spell before, and was actually unaware of its existence, but she could feel the Magic building in her gums. While it charged, she crouched low to the ground, tucking her tail behind her leg, readying herself for the creature’s next attack and waiting for an opportunity to bite.

Imperia grinned in satisfaction when he scratched the leopard's shoulder. He only managed to get her shoulder, as he had jumped a bit too far to the side. He whirled around to face her and began to call upon his own magic, taking a deep breath and hoping his spell would work.

The spell, much to his relief, worked, and he opened his mouth to let out a large wave of heat over the leopard. The heat would hopefully cause the other to burn at least somewhat. Unless they managed to dodge before then.

Round: 2/7
Attempt: burn them!
Defense: none
Injuries: burns and scratches (previous battles)

Fira’s green eyes widened at the cat’s next attack, and when she felt the super hot breath on her face, she quickly turned and tucked her face to her shoulder. The right side of her face and shoulder were left open to the heat, and the acrid scent of singed fur wafted into her nose. She gagged and clenched her teeth in pain as the heat made its way to her flesh. But the spell ended quickly and the burn didn’t seem too bad. Quickly, she turned face the cat again, and lunged towards it, hoping to bite a shoulder or a leg. Not the face. She never went for the face. She was hoping to inject the venom from her spell into the cat, which could cause temporary nausea, paralysis, or seizures — but nothing life-threatening.
