Round of A-paws, please? - Kin-Kin - Jun 13 2016 Kin-Kin wandered along the banks of the crystal river, her tail swishing idly as she eyed the rushing waters. She couldn't help but wonder if she could use its rough currents for further training, as she'd braved the winds of Monoceros before. She slowly drew to a halt, gazing out and watching the lights dancing upon its surface. Her cape gently rustled at her back with the movements of her slowly wagging tail. But it was at that moment she realized... It'll drag me down. "Of course," she muttered, a growl sneaking into her tone. She raised her head, glancing back over her shoulder and as the deep blue fabric draped over her back. as its tattered tips dipped in the water, already she felt weighed down. Lowering her head, she gave it a tug, briefly revealing a glimmer of the moonstone hooks that held it. It wouldn't budge, only giving a little creak as it threatened to tear in her jaws. Almost immediately, Kin-Kin raised her head back up. Sure, she could rip it off, but she couldn't replace her signature style. Maybe it'd even make training tougher like this. Kin-Kin was always willing to give new regimes a try. Slowly, she lowered herself down, crouching in preparation to leap into the (hopefully) shallow waters. "Listen to me." @Zevruu RE: Round of A-paws, please? - Zevruu - Jun 14 2016 Zevruu walked cautiously among the bright lights of Polaris. He had never been here before, and thus found it all new and strange. A combination he didn't like. But he didn't know how to go back to where he was comfortable, so he just walked along for now, wondering if anyone was nearby. He was just gazing around the room when something caught his eye. Turning, he saw someone beginning to crouch, and presumably leap into the water. His eyes widened in surprise. Why would anyone want to go in water? The more he looked at the other, he realized they looked...faintly familiar. There was something nagging at the back of his mind. He had seen them before, but where? As Zevruu continued to stare, it slowly came back to him. He remembered seeing a small wolf, just hatched, looking rather lost and scared. As he watched, she seemed much bigger and more confident now. How long had it been since then? Surely by now she was full grown. He debated between going over there or not and decided he may as well. He was curious to see how she had changed. So he slowly walked over to her. He wondered why she wanted to jump in the water. He wouldn't say anything, of course-he believed questioning one's actions was rude-but he could still wonder. So he sat there, his baubled stone held in his mouth, and watched with his head tilted. "Speech" l 'Thoughts' | @Kin-kin RE: Round of A-paws, please? - Kin-Kin - Jun 14 2016 Kin-Kin crouched, looking again at those brightly lit waters, wondering what lay in their depths. Her eyes narrowed, and as she thought about it deeper, this seemed like more of a bad idea. But that, my friend, was a thought from her old self. She was bigger now. Better. She wouldn't back down from anything. After a moments hesitation, she crouched down even further, until her chest fur was tickled by stony ground. And then her ears twitched, catching something from close by, although she wasn't quite sure what. Slowly she stood, and turned around, worried that she seemed cowardly, or worse, weak. As she turned, she began to feel a sense of deja vu, and slowly she tilted her head at the newcomer. She cleared her throat and gave a lopsided smile. "I expect swimming will make good training," she explained, her ears perking. she considered her next words, now knowing where she recognized this face from. Theirs was the very first she'd ever seen in her life. They'd been... bigger... back then. Had she really grown that much? Kin-Kin turned around, flicking her body dramatically so as to show off the lithe muscle she'd built up. her golden fur, rippling, her mysterious cape fluttering to her side. She'd certainly changed, more than she cared to boast. Well, maybe not quite that much... She offered them a playful smile. "It's been a while. Hasn't it?" "Listen to me." @Zevruu RE: Round of A-paws, please? - Zevruu - Aug 02 2016 When the wolf noticed him, Zevruu looked down, worried he had been staring. It had been so long since the last time he saw her. When she spoke, he looked up and nodded slowly. That made sense. He wasn't sure why she wanted to train, but figured it wasn't any of his business. She could do whatever she wanted to. He watched as she turned, and he noticed that she seemed much stronger than the first time he saw her. Of course, she had only just hatched when he first saw her. He could see lithe muscles and golden fur. She had to have been much stronger than he was. She must have been training all this time, and he wasn't doing anything except exploring and carrying the baubled stone in his mouth wherever he went. Speaking of the stone, if he was to speak, he should probably set that down. He did so, carefully, and nudged the stone against one of his paws to prevent it from rolling away. When she spoke, he nodded again and hesitated. Should he speak? He figured he may as well. It wasn't like she was a stranger or anything. "It," his voice was rough. He hadn't spoken in a while. He coughed quickly, clearing it, before continuing, "It has been a w-while. I haven't seen you s-since...Since the d-day you hatched." He paused, shuffling his feet a bit. "H-how have you been?" "Speech" l 'Thoughts' | @Kin-kin | sorry this took so long-- RE: Round of A-paws, please? - Kin-Kin - Aug 19 2016 "Same for you. Well, wouldja look at me now." Kin-Kin grinned, looking over them as well. The wolf was sure she'd changed completely. From a gangly, scared, awkward runt of a young pup, to this... sexy beast. Not to be self-absorbed. Except that she was. Really, really self-absorbed. That being said though, she'd grown a lot. Even if she exaggerated it, that fact remained true. "Surprised?" Kin-Kin noticed that as they'd approached, they'd put down a baubled stone. She glanced at it, her head tilting in curiosity. She remembered that Zevruu had had that same thing the day she'd hatched, and was curious. Though she'd feel silly questioning it. It was a tad late for that now. Better to just act like she knew already, and try to outdo it. Breathing in through her nose, Kin-Kin dug deep into the magic inside her gem, and felt it flowing throughout her body. A soft glow pulsed and shuddered into being. It was soft and shaky, but there nontheless. Kin-Kin pretended not to notice her magic struggling. "I've been well! Can't you tell?" A chiming laugh reverberated through her. "And what about you?" She gave them another glance over. "Other than looking... smaller?" "Listen to me." @Zevruu |
