Upon new connections - Cure - Jun 19 2016 Just a thread for Cure to get her familiar. A yawn escaped the lounging hybrid. Up in a tree Cure was relaxed on her back in a tangle of limbs that were strong enough to hold her bulk. His tail dangled off the side, slowly curling and uncurling repeatedly to display her rather relaxed feelings. It had been a busy last few days trying to get everything in order for The Guardians, so that when Arkrael awoke once more she could get things properly going. Cure was not a pro at convincing others of the cause and to ultimately convince them to join the group, but she had to admit that he was doing quite alright. He had convinced a dragon to stick around and see how he liked the idea of the group, then there were a few possible others outside of the originals Arkrael had previously gathered up. It was all coming along nicely if he did say so himself. It was in that thought that Cure saw to having a relaxing day filled of naps and feasting upon prey as much as his hearts content. Even as he lay now his stomach was a little puffed out from the meal he only minutes ago consumed, which meant it was nap time to help the digestive system work. And that is just what he would do. He slipped off into his dreamland, a low and deep purring seemingly radiating from the contented feline. For hours he dozed, undisturbed in his fern tree hideout. At least, he wasn't disturbed until he felt a sudden shift in his own fur. His purring stopped. Eyes slowly opened and much to the leopards surprise a big ball of white came into view. Black beady eyes stared at her almost as if horrified that two giant blue eyes were staring right at it. As if they had been caught sticking their toes in the cookie jar. One single ear twitched and before cure could have said anything the echoing gray suddenly shrieked and turned to run. Cure moved quickly. Attempting to catch the mouse in his paw, but suddenly a sharp tingle of magic coursed through her skull... RE: Upon new connections - Cure - Jun 19 2016 An explosion of pain came bursting through her skull and a grown escaped the feline, but she did manage to wrap her paw around the now wiggling white ball of fur. The mouse gave off another strange noise and before Cure could do a damned thing the echoing grey bit into her paw. She snarled and ruffled her fur as she rolled over to try and get up to his paws as she had no choice but to let the thing go. Oh it wasn't going to get away that easily now. she hadn't even planned on eating the thing, but she guessed it was only fair now since the white ball of fur bit her. She narrowed her eyes and pounced down from the tree, startling the echoing grey as it tried to run away. Of course, if it went the other way she was just going to move it off of her fur and back onto the tree so the mouse didn't get her fur dirty. then again could he really blame the tiny thing from panicking when a predator had caught it doing something it probably shouldn't have been doing in the first place? She shook her head and made to grasp up the mouse again, not at all pulling her claws free of her toes. Honestly she didn't want to hurt it. She just wanted to bop it on the head for biting her when she was only trying to help.. RE: Upon new connections - Cure - Jun 19 2016 Just as she managed to scoop the thing up, it seemed like an army of mice suddenly came running to the defense of one of it's family members. 'Ooh...great. Perfect. Just trying to be nice and now she calls an attack from her entire colony,' She sighed as she watched the chattering echoing greys moving just in front of her. unsure whether to attack or run. With a roll of her eyes Cure lowered her paw and gently sat the white mouse back down just in front of the gathered group. Some of them scattered away whilee a few others practically hissed at her. Brave little bastards weren't they. Just as she was about to get up and leave a sudden flash of her horns caught her off guard and a rush of air escaped her as a tingling quickly consumed her skull. The other mice scrambled and the white one began to follow only to instantly stop as something struck her. Black beady eyes slowly, but surely faded into a pure sapphire blue, a color that would match Cure's gem. "What in the world..." Cure mumbled as she looked down at the echoing grey that now stared up at him with different colored eyes. Recognition instantly hit Cure and his eyes grew wide. "Er...maybe...Can...you understand me?" She asked in awe, eagerly waiting to see what the echoing grey would say...if anything. A voice rose...not from the actual mouse staring up at her, but suddenly in her head. A large grin spread across her features as she quickly lowered herself to snuffle at the mouse. It was just like Pheo and Rae! She had a familiar! Oh how she couldn't WAIT to go tell Rae about this once the canine was out of her chrysalis. |
