Götter und Halbgötter - Tag-und Nacht - Jun 23 2016

With the Alpha withdrawn into her chrysalis and her son accounted for, Sköll almost felt less hogtied into duties than before. It wasn't as if he ever was, but he felt relief. The blue moon had decided he would do his best to keep an eye on the strangely eldritch creature that was to be the heir to the title of Ulfric. For now, the man decided that he and Hati would explore the cavern they'd quickly run through to reach Eridanus. Perhaps to reminisce of their younger days. They weren't ancient memories that required a bit of thought to look for, but they were still rather old. With traveling, Sköll wondered how the duo would have ended up should they have had more interaction with others in their younger years... when they only had each other as company.

As they wandered down the tunnel, Hati decided that he needed to talk, and prod into his thoughts. 'We never needed anyone to survive, blue moon.' Flicking his starry tail, Sköll laughed quietly, "sure... but I can't help but to wonder. How would we have ended up? Would I have become the evil moon and you the good sun?" Somewhere in their headspace, Hati cackled, 'as if!'

After that, there was silence. Sköll glanced to the side and noticed one section of the wall was rather flat compared to others. As he approached, the wall sharpened and showed off a strange carving with creeping mycelia growing in the nooks and crannies of it... showing off the odd shapes. Swishing his tail, he pondered. "Is that the Monarch?" Lifting a paw, he placed it on the art. 'Are you blind? Of course it is.' Sköll growled, tail flicking in frustration. Spirits seemed to be emerging from the silvery mushroom... but why? What did it mean? 'It's probably the ravings of the mad. Perhaps that of those that worship the damn thing as the All-Mother. I find it hilarious that they think a plant can give life to everyone.' Without really thinking, the moon responded quietly with a, "says the one that formed from a magical rock alongside me." Let's just say that Hati was promptly offended and went off into a flurry of anger. Smirking to himself, Sköll continued to inspect the carvings.

His quest to make his worldly vessel as strong as it could be was never done. Yesterday it was rock-hopping and today it was running through Orion and a little bit beyond, which was what took him to one of the neighboring tunnels. As a god he preferred the cavern of his creations but he couldn't just stay eternally in one spot. What were he and his sister missing in this strange new world? Seeing as he took the protection of his sister very seriously --not that she needed protecting but he couldn't help it-- he decided to venture out and see if there were any threats to her well-being.

So far it was so good as he ran full-tilt into the tunnel. His star-studded pelt flickered in the dim light like its own little galaxy while he ran with his strange hyena-like gait. It wasn't until he saw something up ahead that he slowed and came to a stop. His four eyes narrowed inquisitively at the strange lean thing before him. It resembled some sort of canine but its features reminded him of well... himself. There were multiple eyes and that tail! It was like he made the creature himself... but he didn't... or if he did he held no memory of it.

Was another wayward god responsible for this? Which one of his brethren created this abomination?

With his tiny snout wrinkled in irritation the small pup made his way over to the larger star-canine with all the confidence befitting a god. Once within a foot the Naissain'Yo barked out, "What is the meaning of this?! Who are you and why were you created?! Explain thyself!" Perhaps if he were fully grown he would have been intimidating but with such a loud and high-pitched bark he probably wasn't scaring anyone.

Sköll had been completely re-engrossed in inspecting the Carvings before he heard sands being moved by tiny paws. His right ear shifted to face the small creature, and he turned to face it just as it began to bark. The meaning of what? Oh. In the back of his head, Hati ceased his fury for a moment to about bust a gut from laughing so hard. 'By Odin, is this one of those Gembound that emerge thinking they're God? Look at this little guy! His bark is actually worse than his bite.' The blue moon gave a moment to shush Hati, who decided to just watch eagerly through Sköll's own eyes.

Standing up, the galahound just laughed softly and gazed down at the pup. "I am Sköll and Hati. Together, we are Tag-und Nacht, and it is fate that decided for myself and my brother to be created. You're a bit too small to be demanding things from your superiors. Just who, are you?" In the dim light of the cavern, Sköll's lighter marks glowed softly, as well as the white "stars" in his nebula-esque tail. Upon closer inspection, he came to notice that the pup was also speckled with spots that looked like stars.

The lean creature was even bigger when it was standing up but that only served to agitate the tiny pup even more. The canine-like creature puffed out his tiny chest and set his mouth into a stern line as if he could intimidate the older gem. The laugh which came out of the hound's mouth only enraged Mosi who bared his long fangs in obvious anger. Two different voices seemed to come from the star-imposter but that mattered not to him. Maybe he's too weak to be two different beings... The pup mused to himself, mostly to make himself feel better... Being laughed at was probably the most annoying thing. "I demand whatever I want from whomever I want, boy! I have no superiors for I am Mosi Nyota, the First Star." The pup snarled at Tag-und Nacht. "You are showing severe disrespect to your superior, whatever you are and whomever created you modeled you after my creations. Bow down and give me my meet respect and maybe I won't punish you!" He was demanding a lot from someone who was far larger and far stronger than he would ever be at this point in time. That didn't matter though, even if the vessel was weak he would never forget this creature and if he lost a battle today he would live to fight another. Each day he was here in this cave he only grew stronger and stronger.
