Perfect Prince - Carni - Jun 26 2016

"HA!" His voice was shrill, higher-pitched than his brother's might've been, as he launched from the high platform onto the old and brittle rat skull below. It crumpled under his paws with hardly a sound and he huffed as the rest of his body caught up, slapping hind paws against stone with a mild sting. "...dang it." He hadn't meant to crush it like that.

Shaking the bone-meal from his paws, Carni stood back up and righted his posture. A Prince didn't slouch, after all.

Indeed, a Prince was proper and respectable at all times. Beloved by all. Hated by none. He'd be sure to prove himself, even if his half-brother had zero interest in such affairs. Why, he'd never understand. Azazel was a good father, and a good king. As far as the albino hybrid was concerned, the Bone-Eater could do no wrong.

Nor anyone he'd ever met, of course. Everyone did things their own way, but no way was the wrong way.

Still, there was a difference between Wrong and Ineffective. His hunting technique was, admittedly, flawed. He'd have to work ever harder to refine it. Determined to succeed, the youth turned back to the cliffs he'd sat upon moments ago and once again began his climb upward. He'd done this a dozen times today, but this time was for sure. This time, he'd get it right. He was certain of it.

RE: Perfect Prince - Egahi - Jul 08 2016

Home again after many a day venturing outside to nearby rooms. There was so much to see, it was hard to wrap her coils around it all. That said a lot, as she had seventeen or more feet to hug with. As it was currently, ever inch and pound was writhing with hunger, so exploration became a back burner to a deep necessity. Home was the best place to hunt, even if food was scarce. There was a comfort in it and a skill that was needed to get it right the first time. The dust helped, as well. Trails upon the dirty floor to give away the location of other creatures.

Egahi slid passed a scorpion, reminding herself of her own likeness to them. Although not really royal, she'd taken an liking to referring to herself as the Scorpion Queen. It sounded so... strong. She was certainly that, she knew. She survived this life like it was a cake walk. If only she knew the turmoil so many actually faced within these caves. Perhaps she wouldn't feel so tough; or perhaps she would be unphased. The things that could happen was exponential, so she left the entire thought path behind, finding a new route.

Vibrations caught the serpents attention. She whipped her head to look in the direction it came from, then slithered quickly toward the feeling. It took some fire, but she managed to track it down; an invading king snake she had yet to capture. Today was his unlucky day, as her fangs struck him and eye watched carefully as the life became death, squirming and recoiling even as animal became a carcass. Egahi noticed a white beast that rivaled her own pearl color, so she made quick work of digesting the black snake so she may pursue conversation.
