Lost? - Makyna - May 20 2015
Life is precious. After meeting the little capybara Makyna had promised to take her to meet her best friend Leon. Of course that was proving easier said than done. The lioness had wandered away from her friend to do some solo exploring but she couldn't remember where her bear friend was. It didn't help that the branching tunnels of H were proving to be a bit difficult to navigate. Once she'd accidentally led the pair to Eridanus but she knew that Leon wouldn't be there. She'd even managed to get them back to Pisces at one point but of course Leon wasn't at Carrie's place of birth. This was proving to be a bit of a bother... What more she was beginning to get worried that she would never see Leon again! The thought made her hopelessly sad and upset. The lioness tried not to dwell on such pessimistic thoughts and instead thought about the new friend she'd made. Carrie was good company and eager to learn. Ky could always appreciate someone that was eager to learn something new. So while they walked, to keep her mind off of the fact that Leon could be miles away, Makyna explained what she new about the cave system and the world around them. It was fun to talk about such things and answering questions was nice. As they walked a thought occurred to her. Back at Pisces, Makyna had wonderd if the little capybara had any powers. Why not question her on it now? "Carrie? Do you have an magick? Like... I can see things with my paws and move stuff without moving it. Can you?" Her clear blue eyes locked onto the other gembound with curiosity as she awaited an answer. "Speech." || "Thoughts."

Life is precious. Makyna paused in walking when her friend paused. Her blue eyes locked onto Carrie's as she thought on Ky's posed question. Then, a question was launched back at her. How would she? Well, that was a good question. Ky hadn't really known she'd had it, it had sort of just happened. "Uh... well..." The lioness tapped her claws on the ground as she thought. Her eyes roamed around the cave as she thought before they landed on the capybara. More specifically they landed on the capybara's gem. Ah, that was how! "Here." The lioness reached out and touched the gem gently with a paw. "Whenever I use magic I feel it in my gem." She tilted her head downwards so the other gembound could see her gem better. Perhaps that's where the magic came from. She could just barely feel it in her gem when she concentrated on magic. "Maybe if you concentrate on it you can pull out your magick!" This was only a theory but it seemed a good a theory as any. Perhaps they would hit upon something if they tried focusing on their gems. "Speech." || "Thoughts."

Life is precious. Ky watched as the young gembound focused on her gem, obviously trying to rally her power. The lioness watched and gave silent encouragement, paws kneading the ground with excitement. It was nice to watch the capybara learn about her magic. She wondered what would happen! Would she have powers like her own? Would she have fire like Leon? Oh! It was so exciting! It turned out that neither of those things happened... At first nothing happened except the stone at her nose glowed with the power. Then Ky noticed that the ground was a little colder and when she looked down Carrie's feet seemed to be collecting ice. Was... that right? No... No that wasn't right! It looked like Carrie was in pain! The lioness let out a gasp. "No no! Carrie stop!" She warned! However, the capybara couldn't stop as the magick went horribly wrong! The capybara fell back as her rear leg seemed freeze stiff! Oh no! In panic the lioness threw herself over the capybara, trying to give warmth to the freezing creature. This was terrible! She should never have asked her to try out her magick! "I... I'll send for help! Hold on!" The lioness closed her eyes and concentrated on her bear friend. Hopefully he would be around to hear her. He had fire powers so hopefully he could help. She called upon the magick in her gem and tried to send out her thoughts to her friend. She didn't know if it worked though... it didn't feel right... "Speech." || "Thoughts."

The bear tried not to stray too far from her, even when she went exploring on her own. If she ventured out, Leon was always sure to stay behind in Pisces. If he was to return from exploring to find that she wasn't there, he would remain in the room until she'd return. That way, he would never be too far from her, assuming Makyna didn't venture too far from home. Having been informed that Makyna was out, Leon did nestle down in the cave room for a short nap, content to take a rest while he waited for his friend to come back. He'd drifted fast asleep, lulled by the roar of the waterfall. His dreams were linear, making sense for the most part. Made-up conversations that never occurred between he and his friends. Fleeting reminders of Rohan. It had only become strange once Makyna appeared out of the nothingness, manifesting from darkness. Even stranger, he couldn't speak to her. As hard as he tried to reach out to her, he couldn't. She was far away and as he ran to her, she remained just as far. It didn't make sense. The sensation of her presence became more and more powerful, even though he couldn't touch her - until it just suddenly felt so real that he was roused from his slumber, peeling his eyelids open and finding himself surprised that the lioness wasn't actually there. But the dream had meant something. He needed to find her. Off he went, hastily parting from Pisces without another word. At first, he wasn't sure which tunnel to travel through. But something told him it was this one - the ice tunnel. Entering the tunnel made a shiver run down his spine and his skin feel cold, but he was closing in on her. Finally, he did see her huddled close to a brown blob. No, Carrie. It was Carrie. But something was wrong. "Makyna!" He called, galloping clumsily towards the two females. "Is everything okay?" The bear didn't know what had happened - but something didn't feel right, and he had been summoned by her for a reason. RE: Lost? - Carrie - May 26 2015
RE: Lost? - Makyna - May 26 2015
Life is precious. For some reason she knew that the spell had failed and still her friend showed up. The bear cub usually breathed confidence into her but now she felt that little could be done. Carrie was already injured and in an intense amount of pain. Makyna knew not what to do to help. Licking wouldn't heal her wound and her body heat wasn't doing anything at all! The lioness nuzzled her nose into the capybara's cheek and murmured comforting words to her. Words that she knew meant nothing but hoped would comfort the younger gembound. "I... I don't know. Carrie's leg. Has ice on it!" She was trying to be calm for Carrie but her voice was trembling with her rising panic. She shifted her weight to the side to give Leon a better look at the leg. Leon had fire powers so couldn't he help? If it was frozen he could just unfreeze it. All in an instant the gembound ceased her crying and sat up. Makyna got off of her to give her a better look at the leg. She stopped crying so that was good, right? It didn't hurt anymore! Then why did she feel a lump of dread in her belly? "But... but that's only cause of the ice! If we take the ice off you should be able to feel your toes again." The lioness said hopefully with a smile. Though the smile did not reach her eyes. She turned to Leon, he had the fire so he just had to heat up the leg. That would help... Sadly though Ky knew in her heart that it probably wouldn't. Someone told her that the leg was asleep and would never wake again. "Speech." || "Thoughts."

Her hind leg was extended outward and immobile, and upon arrival, it looked like it was beginning to turn blue too. He could feel the coldness radiating off of it, but he didn't know what had happened - only that Carrie couldn't feel her leg - until Makyna quickly explained through escalating panic. He blinked at his friend, wide-eyed, then turned back to Carrie. It must have been frozen - he could see the crystals of ice accumulating between her thick, course fur. He was very attuned to the ambient temperature of the air - as someone who ran hotter than most, he could tell when the air grew cold and when it warmed, and now, the cold was so thick it was nearly tangible. This spell had really gone wrong. He grimaced as he looked down at the leg, then at Carrie and listened as Makyna tried to reassure her. Leon had a feeling he knew what to do - he could help this time around. But it all depended on his magic. It all depended on him and his ability to control it. "Okay, I can help, I think." He said slowly and inched closer. They didn't have any time to spare - he didn't know the dangers of the cold and ice, but if Carrie had suffered pain and then numbness because of it, then it couldn't be good. Hovering over the capybara, he closed his eyes and tried to focus. A slow breath sucked in through his nostrils and he raised his front paws. He was careful to keep them away from her for now, lest he fail too - then at least he wouldn't burn her. Trying to focus, Leon summoned his magic and could feel heat beginning to accumulate in his limbs. Now, all he had to do was concentrate and not let it get out of control. Post Roll Edit: Once he had reached a steady temperature, Leon opened his eyes and touched his paws to her leg. They were hotter than usual, but not so much that it would injure him. He was careful to keep an eye on Carrie, monitoring for a response. He kept his paws on her leg, rubbing them up and down to try and warm the length of her frozen limb, but after a while of not seeing any change he began to panic. Before long, the heat fizzled out and Leon was left with cold paws again. Panic began to rise in him, too. "Wh-wait, wait, I can keep trying," He stammered, looking quickly between Carrie, Makyna, and the capybara's frostbitten leg. RE: Lost? - Carrie - May 27 2015
