wiggle quest - Midas - May 21 2015 Midas was definitely still a minute noodle, much shorter than many of the beasts that roamed this cave. But he definitely wasn't meant to be tall. He was long— much longer than any other critter in this cave —and he seemed to only get longer and sometimes a little thicker. Everyone else ate every day, and the serpent was full off of just one salmon, unhinging his jaws to swallow the fish. The prince had found that he would be full for a long time... and a little fat while his body digested the fish and it's skeleton whole. It was what felt natural, and Cancer had told him specifically not to eat a little bird named... Bev-ee. Something like that. "What is Midas?" The serpent child was by far the youngest of the group, and nobody seemed to know exactly what he was. They saw him as Gembound, nothing more, nothing less. Midas didn't know if he liked that or not. He wanted to be more than a Gembound... He wanted to be a king! Was that what it was called. A king? Surely it must be called that. But the Cancer wasn’t a king. The Cancer was just a leader. Why wouldn’t he want to be king? It had to feel amazing! RE: wiggle quest - Makyna - May 23 2015
Life is precious. Makyna was sleeping alone that night, or day, one could never know within the caves. All she knew was that her friend was gone off exploring as was his duty to. It left an ache in her heart but she knew that it couldn't be helped. Besides, when he returned they could play together and explore again! She couldn't wait! Then, what would she do until he got back? There were no conflicts to resolve... No problems to solve... She was essentially just waiting around for nothing. With a yawn the lioness sat her head up and looked around the cavern. No one seemed to be around at the moment which was fine. Being alone left her time to think to herself or explore alone. Like now, she went to the edge of the lagoon and waited for a moment until she saw a shadow beneath the surface. Rather than use a paw she focused her magic on the creature and attempted to toss it out of the water with a spell. She was successful! A large fish was launched out of the water and onto the ground in front of her whereupon she pounced on it and killed it with a swift bite. Ha ha! It would taste so delicious! Now she'd just walk over to the warrens where it was slightly warmer and drier to eat her meal. When she arrived she noticed something out of the ordinary, a small wriggly thing with no legs. Why it was Midas! She'd not really talked to the little snake since he'd hatched in Pisces, perhaps she should do so today. She'd feel awful if someone felt left out or like they didn't have any friends within the group. "Hello there, Midas." She said around her fish. The young cat approached him before dropping the fish and lying down on the ground beside it and the snake. "What are you up to, all along over here?" She asked curiously as she took a bite of her fish. "Speech." || "Thoughts."

Who was that? An intruder? Putting himself in ‘guard dog mode’, the little snake pulled himself as high as he could, head barely poking out from the grasses of Pisces. What he saw was a big golden blob. And white. And Blue. Yes. That was an accurate description. It was a Cancer, but it was golden and white, with blue eyes and a blue thing in between its eyes. It’s gem, maybe? Either way, there was a big ‘ol fish in it’s jaws and Midas was interested. The Cancer revealed itself to be a female, speaking happily. Behind her scaly meal, the girl greeted the small snake happily. ”Hi! Are you a Cancer?” Why wouldn’t she be? She had four legs, a lot of fuzzy stuff on her, a stone in her forehead, and a big fluffy tail. And the same face thing. Yes. She had to be a Cancer. RE: wiggle quest - Makyna - May 23 2015
Life is precious. Was she a Cancer? The question caused her to laugh in a fitful of mirth. She had to admit though, to the unknowing eye that she and Cancer did share a few qualities. However her golden fur, tufted tail, and blue eyes were quite distinct when compared to Cancer's darker coat and amber eyes. "No, I'm not a Cancer. I'm a Makyna!" She giggled out at the long snake. Another bite of the fish before she remarked to his next words. His small eyes had an almost incredulous expression on them that amused her further. "Ah, a wiggle quest, of course!" What on earth was a wiggle quest? "Why you're a Midas. Midas the snake!" Before him she'd never seen a snake, she just knew the word. Now that she could put a face to a name it was even better. She was glad that she could learn even more of the creatures that were here and glad that she could help him. The snake's smooth scales were much different than what she was used to. Leon was all warmth and fuzziness, this fellow was the complete opposite. Not bad, but certainly different. "Yes, you're a Midas snake. I'm a Makyna lion. Cancer is a leopard." She'd come a long way since the day's of her hatching. Every day was a learning experience, they were still learning experiences now but she felt as if she were better equipped for the world. What about this fellow? He certainly wasn't very old... How was he getting on with everything? "Speech." || "Thoughts."

Midas gave a half-hearted laugh himself, trying to fit into whatever the cub was laughing at. Finally, she'd speak. "A Makyna?" He'd ask out loud. So there were Cancers and Makynas? Where there Midas... s? Hm, how would plural of him be? Midases? Maybe. Maaaaybe. RE: wiggle quest - Makyna - May 23 2015
Life is precious. "Oh! I'm so sorry... Serious, right!" The lioness tried to put on a serious expression for the serious "wiggle quest" but it failed miserably as a toothy grin came on by its own accord. She couldn't help it! Wiggling and wiggling to get somewhere... That sounded so funny! She nearly burst out laughing again but managed to contain herself. She didn't want to offend this fellow. The lioness locked her eyes onto his "chest" before raising them up to his eyes. Well, she supposed he would be an expert on wiggle quests since he apparently had to wiggle everywhere. The snake seemed awful proud of himself! She was glad that he was proud and glad that he liked that he was a snake. "Good! I like it too! Midas the Snake!" The lioness said cheerfully with her grin never evaporating. Until he asked if she could wiggle. Those eyes boring into her own caused her to give a nervous grin and chuckle. "Well, uh... I don't know. I've never tried to wiggle." The lioness backed away a couple of inches so as to give herself room them she crouched on the ground. Wiggle... Okay, how would she do this? The lioness attempted to wiggle herself across the ground but unknown to her her rear raised high into the air like she was about to pounce. Her forequarters didn't wiggle very much but her raised rear wiggled quite a lot. The long tufted tail at the end even looked akin to a dying snake with how much it waved back and forth. With her rear wiggling vigorously back and forth she looked at the snake. "Is this right?" "Speech." || "Thoughts."

He whined plaintively, lifting his head and waving his tail dramatically. If only he could get someone to understand! Okay, maybe he wasn't going on a wiggle quest now, because Makyna helped finish it. Smirking, the snake gave a teasing little laugh. "But you helped in this not serious wiggle quest! You helped me find out what I was. I WIN!" Bobbing his head up and down to the rhythm of the waterfall, the snake squealed happily. Somehow, the wiggle quest had become a game, and Midas was darn sure he was the winner! "Midas the Snake is a winnerrrrrr!" Yes. Great mental high-tail. He'd have to try that later. Maybe if he put his tail on his nose, that would be a high tail? RE: wiggle quest - Makyna - May 30 2015
Life is precious. She thought she had offended the snake at first with his whining voice and she prepared to apologize again but all at once he changed his tone. With a smirk and a little laugh he deemed this particular wiggle quest not serious. Makyna laughed herself along with him. "I guess that does make you the winner. With your clever mind and tongue you were able to get the best of me." It was obvious that the lioness speaking in a playful manner. This snake was certainly doing wonders for her spirits and mood. Makyna stopped wriggling her rear when she found that her technique was wrong. The lioness looked to the snake to show her what to do. No legs? How was she supposed to do it with no legs? The lioness watched how the snake wriggled on the ground. He was so good at it! For a moment the lioness watch, entranced by the wonderful show of the snake. Then she flopped herself on the ground and began to attempt to wiggle. Instead of actually wiggling the lioness began to twist and turn on the ground, rolling around rather than wiggling. "Is this right now?" She asked while still rolling back and forth. "Speech." || "Thoughts."

Midas' little crown bobbed up and down, throwing itself back and forth in glee. He gave a cheerful little hiss, waving his tail across the floor. It was just perfect! "I did get the best of you! But... Are you okay with that, Ky?" The serpent was pretty sure he wasn't hurting Ky's feelings since she was pretty happy, but he just wanted to make sure. RE: wiggle quest - Makyna - Jun 01 2015 The lioness gave a toothy grin and nodded. "Of course! No hard feelings here." The lioness winked at him before giving a mock, playful growl. "But you better watch out 'cause next time I might get the best of you!" The lioness took no offense to his words. It was hard to take offense when she was hardly taking anything seriously. A wiggle quest was nothing to develop hard feelings over. The lioness allowed the little snake to slither onto her back to help her. The lioness pushed her shoulders back and lifted her head like he said. Her eyebrows furrowed with the effort as she tried to do all that the snake recommended. Her tongue poked out of the side of her mouth in concentration as she slowly but surely began to wiggle. It wasn't a very snake-like wiggle and it wasn't very graceful but it was something! "Midas! I think I'm doing it!" She mewed happily as she glanced back at him. words: 164
