MYCETAE - Fortune - Aug 03 2016 However, today, she was not out to hunt the rather mangy and probably infectious rodents of Canis. Today, the fortresses could serve as a possible spot for her to hone her magickal abilities. Perhaps a meditation spot of some sort. A tower in particular seemed to be an excellent place to begin. Fortune wasn't unfamiliar with the fact that her dainty, cloven hooves were not the best tools for climbing. Each step was careful and slow, balance perfectly kept as she ascended up the tower whilst using nearby stalagmites and bones jutting from the bony spire. As soon as she reached the flat top of it, the old Gembound settled down, tucking her feet in gently and sort of becoming the duiker equivalent of a cat-loaf. Toon's large eyes were hidden as she closed them, focusing on her inner magic. She hadn't properly focused on the practice of mycelial growth in cycles, and she was almost uncertain as to if she had lost her touch or not. The life-giving stone planted into her forehead sparked to life almost immediately, buzzing with pure magicka. A formerly pitch-black stone was lit up in a shimmering blue glow, and her eyes gained the same appearance. RE: MYCETAE - Fortune - Aug 16 2016 The cassiterite blade sticking from her forehead buzzed with lively energy once more, although the sensation was less intense than it had been before. Each gray speck within her vision began to shift and move, providing a steady feed of sensory information. Canis was, obviously, full of dead tissue and bone. Nothing was too out of the ordinary. It seemed that there were no other Gembound nearby except for a few stray cave rats scurrying about in search of sustenance. As she knew it, Canis was just fine. The environment was how it had always been. RE: MYCETAE - Fortune - Aug 16 2016 Much to her misfortune (no pun intended), she did not even feel a faint tug of magicka upon her crown. Magicka ebbed away as her sight of the mycelial world faded, leaving her in the real world once more. RE: MYCETAE - Fortune - Sep 22 2016 Magicka crackled thickly in the air as her vision filled with ever-shifting white flecks. The duiker smiled softly to herself in satisfaction before continuing her journey. |
