Those who greet bugs | Norv's plotter - Xireidi - Dec 28 2016 Hey all, figured it was about time I put together an official plotter for my characters. I probably won't be able to do more than replies and the quest thread until Monday but no time like the present to get ideas rolling. Without further ado here are the characters on the list: He whose life was forever changed by the dreaded death crawler Xireidi Protagonist-type After starting off life in a weakened state with untold amounts of nerve damage Xireidi, through relentless training, has pulled himself to a place of strength. His memories of emergence are hopelessly blurred, and as a side effect of this he deeply (and almost certainly wrongly) believes in the existence of an eldritch horror of shadow and flame. Green wallcrawlers; typically harmless until they released a fearful being who knows no morals Yuma Antagonist-type I feel like my wife described Yuma best when she said he's like an eternal child; he doesn't seem to quite understand that other people have a personal consciousness and views the world in a way alien to most adults. His moral compass isn't broken, it was made without a needle in the first place. Rainbow bumblebugs flit around a small fire agate, wherein rests a new life waiting to meet the world Zeno Intellectual-type Zeno's story has yet to be told, but it will hopefully be one full of self discovery and investigation into the mysteries of the caves. Born into darkness amidst a swirling vortex where no small creature dares to go. Amras Mage-type Amras is set to be inquisitive like Zeno, but significantly more grounded in the world. He wants to get out there, have fun, see what he can do with magic, and learn everything practical he can about the art. Some of his early plotlines will likely involve exploring the cave looking for odds and ends that he can use with his magic in different ways and coming up with on-the-fly competitive games to play with whoever he meets. Though magic is naturally an interest to him, other influences to set him firmly into different areas of magical exploration would work well Sparring partners! Or racing buddies. Or people to throw darts with. Or people to figure out how to make a dart board in the first place and what to throw at it even. Really anyone who may or may not be taking themselves too seriously and need to have some fun. Adventurers would be great exploration partners as he searches for "spell components" and containers to put them in. Want to explore a dilapidated building? A dark side tunnel where there might be new minerals? The dwelling of that one strange gembound who totally doesn't know we're in here? RE: Those who greet bugs - Gabriel - Dec 28 2016 Yuma and Gabriel is a must... Gabriel has a similar view of morality except he views himself as looking out for the needs of the whole rather than the individuals. He collects lost stones and sees death as an opportunity to grow stronger. As such, he seems mindlessly optimistic and lacks the ability to feel upset. He wants to know everything the caves have to offer, hence his fascination for sense spells. He's an opportunist when it comes to favours, and will always offer to help out(to be owed a favour later), but will never turn down a trade. I'm thinking they would make quite the antihero/villain duo, and he'd find a minion very useful ;) RE: Those who greet bugs - Leon - Dec 28 2016 i feel like Bartos would be very interested in Zeno?? due to his lack of external gem? RE: Those who greet bugs - Xireidi - Jan 03 2017 @Gabriel That could make for an interesting duo, especially if Gabriel mistakenly suspects that Yuma's was like him and expecting compensation at some unknown point in the future. @Leon Finally time for Zeno to emerge. Definitely think that those two would get along fairly well whenever they meet. Zeno would almost certainly look up to anyone trying to learn more abou the caves. RE: Those who greet bugs - Tacitus - Jan 03 2017 @xireidi Tacitus! He's a young owl that wants to investigate and research stuff in the caves regardless of any sort of moral standings and whatnot. He just wants to learn all he can so he and Zeno could be intellectual exploration buddies! What do you think? RE: Those who greet bugs - Xireidi - Jan 04 2017 @Tacitus That would be great! We could even have it play out as a mad scientist vs associate professor thing XD RE: Those who greet bugs - Tacitus - Jan 04 2017 Yeeess! That would be awesome! :D I can already imagine the great interactions! Would you like me to start a thread with them or would you want to, @Xireidi ?
