Astaroth was creeping low along the ground, his paws barely skidding over the surface of the floor where time had worn and chiseled its surface. His eyes fixated on the tunnel runner in front of him. It was just sitting there but he stayed as quiet and still as possible. Waiting for opportunity to open for him to jump.

Coming back here, initially, he felt bitter about this place. But the original reason why he disliked it the one who he hated once and now can barely remember their name looks to have disappeared from the caves.

Maybe that particular someone is dead then? That'd be a good thing for the caves, could do without someone like that.

Looking over Albeon saw a canine of sorts, almost wondering if they were that certain someone, looked kind of like him. Appears to be in the midst of a hunting session.

...Even though he won't go to the same extremes as before, he's still squeamish about this. Besides; He's bored as hell right now. Carefully swooping down with his wings, his scarf fluttering with him he lands just a bit behind the canine and carefully reaches for their tail with their beak till they were right next to it. Heheheh...

PULL!

Astaroth yelped and span as the tunnel runner sprinted away. "What the hell?!" He screamed. "That was my fucking meal you stupid bird!!!" He growled and looked at the bird, his eyes flashing violet with anger as he snapped at the bird. Trying to grab at the scarf and barely missing.

Hahaha. Leaping back in an instant when Albeon's little prank was done, snorting when they reacted indignantly to his joke seeing their face made Albeon realise this wasn't that particular someone, doesn't have the freaky eyes or anything. Oh well, he managed to relieve his boredom and chiselled someone out of killing something.

"OK, OK sorry I'll get ya some carrion to make up for it. No need to kill anything today bud." Chuckling a little, almost wanted to point out that it wasn't 'their meal' since the tunnel runner while just something moving on instinct does not belong to anyone. But was left unsaid, may piss them off even more than necessary.

His eyes widened however when it tried to snap at them. No... Their scarf!

Uncalled for, unlike that tunnel runner that wasn't their property, this was his property damn it!

"It's on!" He was annoyed at this and wanted to get payback, but Albeon's somewhat controlled his annoyance at the offence on his scarf he has no intention to kill, so he focuses his power in his Gem, feeling full of energy after not using it for a while...

A powerful glow of energy showed around his body. Well, this is new, immediately it blasts outwards as a ray of light, Albeon managed to control his aim and not hit the canine with his Spell aiming the canine where it won't catch its range of fire. Colliding with a rock wall which exploded an avalanche of rocks came tumbling down, no threat though as they were too far from them. Oh, this is awesome...!

Astaroth flinched and leapt away from the beam of light as it came searing past. Though he laughed when it moved past him into a rock wall. "Nice trick fleabag." He growled. "And I may not have owned that runner but without it I could starve, unless you want to be my next meal." He stalked towards the bird. He could feel the scar running down his face tingling, he remembered the last fight he'd had with a bird. That owl. Tacitus. He was determined for this to end differently. He leapt up, he wasn't close enough to bite the whole bird but he knew he could at least get a big bite of those tail feathers.

Oh? Not intimidated huh? Alright, it looks like scare tactics won't work much, although showing off to others with his Magick always felt great.

"Birds don't have fleas. That's more something you canines get." He responded with witty snark at them being the typical smartass, Albeon may not be entirely correct, but he has never had fleas on him in his life.

"Nah, no thanks. I may or may not give you some of my carrion unless you do not like that?" He responded with some genuine honesty, hard to tell though his tone is entirely sarcastic.

He leaps up to the air but couldn't dodge the canine entirely; their jaw gripped on his tail feathers, their whole body dangling from them Albeon struggled to keep himself in the air.

Quickly he, looked down a glow of purple aura covering his whole body, his eyes glowing purple as another surge of power comes to his horn like Gem tips of them somewhat chisel shaped.

Focusing his mind's grip on the canine's whole body with that force of power their entire body was entirely in his hold and will move to whatever his whims decide. And his impulses decide to pull them off his feathers and then quickly threw them into a wall.

Astaroth yelped in pain at this, growling and focusing his own power. Tensing his own muscles and concentrating on that, hopefully causing the raven's to do the same. He grinned wickedly as he felt the power flow through him into the bird, stronger than the last time he'd used it. "You're dead meat." He growled.

Heh, pretty good attempt there. At least the canine only messed with the corvid's tail feathers; Albeon wouldn't be pleased if they went for his beloved scarf again. But he felt some agony as his muscles tense up making him struggle to flap his wing. Damn it... Do they know Arcane Spells too? No, he doesn't think this is Arcane, but this Spell seems familiar.

Out of his force of will to free himself from this agony, his Gem started to surge up in power again as the same bright energy from earlier begun to collect into one orb of pure energy.

However since this casting of Spell is slightly out of unintentional instinct, Albeon's concentration isn't exactly on it which makes the energy disappear with a slight shockwave explosion from the rebound, causing him be flung backwards a little and landing on the ground.

Acrimony seemed to emanate from him as Astaroth stalked towards the bird. Seeing it seemingly incapacitated. He jumped forward, growling as he attempted to summon his magic and channel it into picking up the bird and twisting their body. He was slightly disappointed as he felt it falter and die out, leaving him weaker and slower. Than he was before. He stalked around the bird slowly, making sure he doesn't fly away.

The shooting pain on his back from falling on the ground made his muscles tense up again as he tried to get back up. The sharp edge of a rock digging into Albeon's flesh, leaving a cut on it.

Agh... Damn it. Noticing the canine approaching him he tries to back away just a little to maintain distance, although his backing away is subtle so the canine might not notice his movement to see what he is planning.

Seeing that it appears whatever the hell the canine was planning failed and instead chose to keep a stalking eye on him, circling him like a desperate shark. He doesn't intend to fly away though, his eyes completely locked on to wherever they walk to Albeon prepares that new Spell of his again making sure to they don't leave his range of vision so he can aim. He doesn't intend to make a direct hit with it though, no this Spell seems fatal if it did and he doesn't want to kill them, no need to such extremes.

The Spell was a success but his reaction time of when to fire was a little bit off to ensure he doesn't cause to much damage was a little off with the canine circling him. So it came too close to comfort, but he managed to avoid filly hitting the canine with it by turning his head diagonally. It looks like a small margin of their body was hit by the blast but doesn't appear to be too dangerous on how much he caught with that Spell, for all he knows he missed by a width of a fur. Albeon looked in slight concern of them, shit... that didn't cause too much damage did it?
