Golden Wisdom [Three Kings Quest] - Septiezal - Jan 03 2018

The serpent weaved his way through the crumbled dam. Powerful muscles pushed him along, rippling under his scales. The mysterious storm overhead provided his eyes with enough light to detect the different color stones that dotted the gray golem graveyard.

How grand it would be to have wings. Oh yes! To be able to soar over the legged creatures, no longer writhing in the dirt, it sounded like a dream come true. All he had to do was to bring Alnilam yellow stones. Apparently this would help settle an argument, but Septiezal could care less about that aspect. One thing did bother him, however, and that was pledging allegence to a Gembound he hardly knew. If it meant being gifted with a set of glorious wings, however, he would risk it.

This better be worth his time.

Septiezal searched for awhile, until a glint of yellow caught his eye. It was small, but he was pretty sure it yellow enough to please Alnilam.

There!

He scooped it up in his mouth and continued his search.

It did not take long for Septiezal to come across another one. A small pebble wedge between rocks. Its yellow hue stood out against the dusty gray. Septiezal plucked it from its resting place and continued his climb. Septiezal was glad he came here. Golems were known for hoarding gems, so he knew he would eventually come across a yellow one, but know, he found two. He wondered how long this luck would last.

RE: Golden Wisdom [Three Kings Quest] - Septiezal - Jan 03 2018

Septiezal could not believe his eyes. There, before him, was the biggest golden gem he had ever seen. It had be as big as a tunnel runner cave deer. Septiezal searched around the beautiful gem's crystalline sides, nudging it with his nose a couple of times. It appeared to be loose. He flicked his tongue as he pondered on how to roll it out of here without hurting himself.

Septiezal pushed hard against the gem's side until it came loose. It began to roll down the slope, loosening the rocks under him. Septiezal allowed himself to slide down the broken damn behind it. When he reached the bottom, he wrapped himself around the large gem, cleverly using his body's muscles to roll the thing back to Orion.
