It's too bad we had to meet - Winter - Jan 06 2018 Winter slid along the floor of the tunnel, fuming and hot with anger. Her meeting with Rift had been unfortunate and highly frustrating. She hoped she would never have to meet that ridiculous furball ever again. She wanted to get back to the gembounds that cared about her. She missed Kielo. They were so kind to her when she had hatched and they had taught her not to be afraid. And Azar too, but maybe not so much. The sound of his voice as he exclaimed in fear still followed her. Were all gembounds afraid of snakes? Was she supposed to be the antagonist? She didn't know and it made her angry that she even had to think of such things. Hissing with anger, she continued to make her way through the tunnel, unsure of where she was even going at this point. But why did it matter? Wherever she went she would leave anyways. When I speak. When I think. RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Nameless - Jan 06 2018 Blackberry stormed through the tunnel. She had been alone for way too long. She was hungry, she was lonely, and extremely annoyed. It had been way too long since she last bullied someone. Heck, the last time had been Kera and that was weeks ago! Since then, she's been pushed around, had to grovel to some stupid birds, and had wandered the caves aimlessly. It was about time she ran into someone. And, of course, just as she thought this, she caught a glimpse of white among the rocks. Of course, there was a lot of white with the ice and snow, but this was very white. And long. And moving. Obviously, a gembound. Grinning with twisted pleasure, she opened her wings and let the new magic given to her by the King of Orion flow through them. However, the color and glow never came so she lowered them with disappointment. Whatever, she could just as easily intimidate without red haunting wings. She approached, but then flinched as she realized what her target was. It was a snake, a cobra. At first, she was a little nervous - one bite from that snake and she was done. But, then again, it was small and she was strong. So with a confident snort, she jumped in the snake's way and glared down at it. "What do we have here? You look like a rat that's been rolled up. What do you think you're doing here, standing in my way?" "Speech looks like this." Thoughts look like this. tags: notes: RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Winter - Jan 06 2018 Winter stopped as the goose landed in front of her. She stared at it in slight shock. She hadn't really expected something to come leaping out at her. And especially not someone this loud. When she immediately insulted her, her hood flared out. What the heck was this gembound doing? What reason did she have for randomly being so mean? She was pretty sure they had never met and she'd given her no reason to be angry. Annoyed, she frowned at the goose. "Actually," she pointed out, "You're in my way. You jumped in front of me, remember? What's up with your anyways? Can't you just mind your own business?" She hissed lowly as her tail started wobbling. Fine, she was angry. But it wasn't just the goose, it was just a combination of so many things falling down on her head. She couldn't deal with this right now. She turned and tried to move past the goose. "I'm not in the mood to put up with you right now." When I speak. When I think. RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Nameless - Jan 06 2018 Blackberry grinned. The snake was getting angry. That was always fun. It would be extra fun if they would fight. She was sure that it would be exhilarating, jumped and flying and dodging the snake's fangs. Yes, it would be a lot of fun. She should try and provoke the snake. She disregarded the snake trying to reason, but when she muttered the last sentence as she tried to move past her, she understood what she had to do. "Oh is the baby snake feeling lonely? It must be hard to be the most hated species in the caves. I wonder if anyone has ever truly liked you or if they were just scared the whole time." "Speech looks like this." Thoughts look like this. tags: notes: RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Winter - Jan 06 2018 Winter froze. The goose's words echoed in her ears. It must be hard to be the most hated species in the caves. I wonder if anyone has ever truly liked you or if they were just scared the whole time. Was that true? Did no one ever like her? Did...Kielo ever like her? Or was she just scared? Azar had been scared. Shade had been scared. And Rift, Rift had been more then scared. Was she really...the most hated species? She began to see red at this realization. Her whole body was shaking and her hood was pressed as flat as it would go. Her tail was thrumming out of control and a hissing and spitting noise rose in her throat. She stood tall as she slowly spun to face the goose. "How dare you...you sssssstupid animal," she spat, her words slurring underneath the hissing. "Don't tessssst me. I'll kill you before you e ven take one ssssstep." She opened her mouth and hissed loudly, her tongue flickering and her fangs exposed and deadly. The venom was churning in her cheeks, ready to sink and inject into the bird's blood. She wanted to bite her so badly, it almost hurt. When I speak. When I think. RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Nameless - Jan 06 2018 Blackberry didn't mind the insults or the threats. That was natural when a gembound got angry though. And she had certainly succeeded in getting the cobra roweled up. Any hesitancy about the snakes fangs had disappeared and all that mattered now was winning the fight. "I doubt it," she honked loudly, laughter mixed in with her voice, "But I'd like to see you try." With that, she opened her wings and flew at the snake, mouth open and teeth flashing. Round: 1/? Attempt: Bite her Defense: n/a Injuries: Minor scaring on chest "Speech looks like this." Thoughts look like this. tags: notes: RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Winter - Jan 06 2018 At first, Winter didn't really expect it to blow up into a full fight, but the instant the goose honked, she knew that it was coming. She was ready for when the bird came flying by and quickly moved to the side to dodge. Now was her chance to get a good strike in! She struck forward lightning fast, teeth flashing, ready to inject a good dose of venom. Round: 1/? Attempt: venomous bite Defense: n/a Injuries: none When I speak. When I think. RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Nameless - Jan 06 2018 Blackberry scoffed as she missed the snake. Of course, the first attack she had to miss. But then she had other things to worry about as the snake lashed at her with fangs ready to sink in. With a squawk, she leaped away, but still managed to catch a small bite that nicked her side. She doubted that the snake had a change to get any venom into the bite so she was safe for now. She leaped forward again, intending on trying to latch onto the snake's thin body again. Round: 2/? Attempt: Bite her and hold on Defense: n/a Injuries: Minor scaring on chest, small bite "Speech looks like this." Thoughts look like this. tags: notes: RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Winter - Jan 06 2018 Winter frowned after the bite. She hadn't a chance to inject any venom before the goose had torn away. Angry, she curled herself for another attack. However, the goose came on too quickly. Before she could react, she was caught in its beak, its serrated tongue tearing against her scales. She cried out and tried to wriggle free, thrashing as hard as she could. Round: 2/? Attempt: get free Defense: n/a Injuries: none When I speak. When I think. RE: It's too bad we had to meet - Nameless - Jan 06 2018 The cobra's thrashing was extremely annoying and, as much as she tried to hold on, she couldn't. The snake managed to escape her jaws and she stepped back a little bit to retain her composure. In just a moment, though, she was back on the attack, intending on holding her this time. Round: 3/? Attempt: Bite her and hold on Defense: n/a Injuries: Minor scaring on chest, small bite "Speech looks like this." Thoughts look like this. tags: notes: |
