I can do this! (pre olympics) - Apple - Mar 16 2018

Apple fluttered down towards where a large crowd had gathered. Was this the Olympics? There were so many big animals around! How could she possibly beat all these other creatures? Well, then again, she had only decided to sign up for the obstacle course. She wondered if Gypsy was still going to sign up for the wrestling. Now that she was here, she wondered what kind of chance the tiny bird would stand. But she decided that she wouldn't mention that to her friend.

Speaking of Gypsy, where was she? Apple fluttered onto a large rock that was sitting a little ways above the other gembounds milling around. She looked around, hopping as she turned her body, trying to find Gypsy's prominent colors. "Gypsy? Where are you? I'm here! It's Apple!"

"Speech looks like this."
Thoughts look like this.

RE: I can do this! (pre olympics) - Gypsy - Mar 16 2018

Never in her young life had Gypsy seen so many gembounds gathered together. Her beak dropped open in surprise and she quickly ducked out of the way of a hoof that threatened to kick her as its owner strolled along. She hadn’t realised so many creatures lived in the caves. It looked like everyone wanted a piece of the action. She eyed a bear with massive paws lumbering along with an eagle in the distance and shuddered. She sure hoped he wouldn’t be her opponent in the wrestling match!

She hopped forward with the others, trying to see what was ahead, but she was too small. She wondered when Apple would arrive. They had promised to see each other and maybe sign up together.

"Gypsy? Where are you? I'm here! It's Apple!"

A familiar voice called out, and Gypsy turned to see the familiar figure perched upon a rock, jumping up and down.

“Apple! Apple!” Her heart leapt in joy at seeing her friend again. She moved towards the magpie, but it took a long time because she had to dodge all the trampling feet. It was quite the perilous journey; Gypsy quickly decided she wasn’t a fan of big crowds.

Finally, she made it to the rock. The small avian hopped upon it and stood next to Apple with a big grin on her beak.

“It’s so good to see you!!” She chirped. “How have you been?”
